I must agree with everyone on this one!! It is bad!! The best defense I have been able to find it a full face helmet! The pilot at my old DZ always made sure he had a can of airfreshner in the front with him. You could always tell when it got bad, if he got a whiff of it before you did, because all of a sudden it would smell like oranges in the plane!! Maybe you could mention that to your pilot, but I think a helmet is your best weapon!!

I was an extra. All of the skydiving I did got cut, but most of them were just test jumps to make sure the helicopter was in the right place to film the exits. I can tell you all the spots where I am throughout the movie, but it would take too long! LOL I am in there, just ask Grogs! He saw me!! Well, it seems that no one liked Stephen Baldwin in Cutaway. LOL That's ok, he's not much fun in person either. I was in Cutaway and I had the "privledge" of working with him. Let me just say, I very much enjoyed working with Tom Berenger!!!

WC is right. It seems like drugs and skydiving go hand in hand. I don't like it either but I'm not going to stop jumping because other people do things I don't agree with. I've never had any other addiction besides skydiving. I've never done any kind of drugs and I'm certainly not going to start now. I do know A LOT of old addicts who skydive and most all of them have told me they started jumping so they could transfer their addiction from drugs to something more positive. So, to all the recovering addicts, congratulations and good luck! Skydiving is DEFINITLY better than anything you could have ever done!!

When I first started jumping my hair was in the middle of my back. By the time I finished AFF I had already gotten it cut so short that only 1" was sticking out of my helmet! Since then I've let it grow and cut it again and now I'm letting it grow again. All you can do it braid it (even some of the guys I know do that) and use good conditioner. The longer it is, the longer it will take to brush, but don't cut your hair unless you want to. :-)

I'm all for the traditions. I think they're fun and a great way to recognize someone's achievements in the sport.

I've flown about 320 times, and landed about 6 times!! I like those odds!!

Not drinking at 16 is good thing. Even if you never drink, that's not bad at all. Like someone else said, you'll make a great designated driver! Everyone will love you!! by the way, where do you jump??

I agree with numskull. The A license brings in too much money for them to do away with it. They'd have to have a terribly good reason to drop it, and they'd have to have something major to bring in that same amount of money.

I have more than enough jumps to jump with someone with 20 jumps. :-) Besides that, you must have missed the thread at the old site that explained everything. ;-)
