I play around with a home machine and E thread every once in a while and I found out its not just the size of needle but the type of opening in it. Of course balancing the needle to bobbin tension is a challenge and it needs to be way higher than the machine is rated for.

Jim didn't comment on safety as much as I was commenting on his lack of enthusiasm for this particular event, while in the past he was anywhere PF needed him Zoo or no zoo. But now I read it as he will not paricipate in any flocking event whatsoever if it doesn't have a chance to represent something with a clearly defined goal and the possibility to achieve it. You know there is only like a hundred and thirty of us buying wing suits don't you? Granted some of us have bought half a dozen, or a dozen (Avery) but still. Does that sound like enough to keep four or five wingsuit manufacturers in full production? Not unless you guys tell other skydivers that there are some cool events for wingsuits from acro-centric to big way style coming up that they can get on and have fun with more like minded wingsuit people. Its all good if you tell a friend. They won't make them if we don't buy them. Somewhere out there is a fresh young face waiting to replace Purple Mike in all those face shots we see so often. You just got to get em in a suit and bring them with to events.

Why no use a very detuned para glider vario. No GPS errors or palm pilot program lag but it needs to be way detuned or its going to scream your ear off. But atmospheric pressure is an absolute benchmark.

Admit it Jimbo, you have, in the past, happily attended events that have not exhibited this level of discipline, planing and sophistication but more than the commensurate level of over promotion despite being really freakin dangerous. Events that displayed the discipline of an open Ice cream buffet at the special olympics. This won't have really big Russian jets buts its cool enough to bring your wife and kid to it. If you won't do it for you, do it for K.

I consider the PF guys trustworthy enough to design and build a suit that I will be trusting my life to (in a way). If you plan to start WS base you may want to do a few with your acro before getting bigger wings. In fact I highly recommend you get the shadow leg wing-mod for the acro, regardless if you base it or not. Have you noticed the few people with new custom acros that have more leg wing? A little bird told me it is a sweet combination.

I only had a double gentlemans jack and then a bottle of Cab from a local producer. Why do you worry?

Otter, High point was that it was the first flight test of my new old favorite wingsuit that was down for many months of redesign and refurbishing.

I'm actually kinda interested in the Webbie HD for mounting on struts, feet, bedroom posts, everywhere. Hell for $199 and av/r control; probably not made by Sony but seems pretty much a disposible camera. Quote DSE is going to slap me for this but: the webbie records in MP4 HD, what is that uncompressed AVCHD? Don't laugh now.
