  1. I always like to recommend my Team's sponsors but especially in this case. Please tell Angie that we recommended you. Freakin Suits makes very affordable and durable freefly suits. But more importantly Angela can build you exactly what you need based on your body type and measurements. She will build a suit that is oprimal for your size and the fall rate you should be at. And she was dead on for our Team considering two of us weigh 210 Lbs and the other three are sub 160 Lbs We are very happy with Freakin Suits and some of us have put a couple thousand jumps on their suits. That should count for something. www.freaknsuits.com Harry P Team Wicked Liquid www.teamwickedliquid.com
  2. I can tell you that when i asked Jim Slaton what size he recommended he told me that 2.2 was optimal atleast for the Zero-P. I have about 150 jumps on a JVX 99 loaded at 2.3 My Team Mate Joey Costa was jumping a VX 60 and went with the JVX 77 which is about a 2.4. He is much happier with the larger wing. Joey has about 250 jumps on his JVX and a couple thousand on his old VX 60. He might have some feedback for you as well. The Sail material is higher performance although I have no jumps on either a Hybrid or Full Sail Cloth JVX, so I really can't offer any meaningful input. Per my other Team Mate John Thompson, who has jumped both the Hybird and ZeroP, there is a noticeable difference in performance between a Hybrid JVX 99 and a Zero P JVX 99 loaded at 2.3
  3. Nice Video Guys, hope to meet up with you soon. Harry P Team Wicked Liquid
  4. Old School???? I'm assuming you've mastered everything in that video then? since it's old school.
  5. That may be a question you ask the folks at Daedalus directly........ http://www.nzaerosports.com/companydetails.htm
  6. Oh and in my opinion for all around performance across all swooping disciplines is a 2.1 to 2.2. You can add weight if you need greater speed / distance.
  7. I wouldn't wait.........You can wait a long time if you are always waiting for the latest and greatest. The JVX is the current latest and greatest in canopy design. You have 3 options for the JVX. 1.) All Zero-P 2.) Hybid - Zero-P with Sail Cloth Topskin 3.) All Sail Cloth. Unless you are competing I'd go with the Hybrid or all Zero-P as the Full Sail Cloth option does pack very large. I have an all Zero-P JVX and love it......conversely my team mates just ordered the Hybrid at the same size 99sq ft, and says the hybrid blows the Zero-P away. I wouldn't know yet until i recover from knee surgery, but I'll take Johns word on this. Harry P Team Wicked Liquid

  10. This was clearly the best Best response. This wins the blue ribbon. I crying right now.
  11. After 15 Years of Marriage we finally have crossed a Bridge that was a long time coming. My Son Zachary H Parrish was born today 8/24/2006 at 12:44PM EST. He weighed 6.24 Lbs and is 17 Inches in Length. He and Mom are healthy and doing very well. I'm VERY Excited......I've been told many times there's nothing like it and you just have to experince it to believe it. Now I know what everyone else was talking about. Can't believe I watched the entire Birth, even cut the cord. This coming from a Panzy Ass that threatens to faint when I give Blood. I even changed his first diaper and Swaddled Him. Well it was incredible and Now I'm going to bed and gettng some sleep. WOW I'm a DAD.

    micron question

Yeah that's why I mentioned the difference between BOC Handle and PUD. Sometimes people want one or the other and don't realize the difference. It's always a good idea to clarify, or you might get something other than what you wanted.
  13. I think the verdict is still out on this one. Still too soon to tell. Unless you intend on competing I see no reason to go with the Hybrid or Full Sail Material JVX. The Zero-P still gives you a significant performance edge over most of whats out there today.
  14. I'm not trying to be a jerk. What are you asking? I think its an important question, but your'e question is hard to understand.
  15. It's a perfectly reasonable question. One I'd ask of any jumper doing the same thing under an unfamiliar wing/size regardless of jump #'s. Blues, Ian It's a perfectly fair question for someone that has not admitted to screwing the pooch, and is pushing forward with bad decisions. This guy admitted he did some stupid things and is backing off. I think he should be commended for noticing he was in over his head and backing off. I'm sure we can save the "Lesson Statements", for the Hard Heads. Ummmm Like Me I think that more people would come fwd with their stories if folks didn't slap them down. I think constructive criticism is good, making people feel stupid is BAD. Stories like this are good lessons for others to learn from and mean more to low time jumpers or up and comers than people think.
  16. Congrats Eric!!!! Thats Great News. I'll keep my wager with the Old Codger, 1122 sounds like a man in the know. Hey dont be such a god damned stranger Jason.

    micron question

Micron is an excellent rig for freeflying. I don't jump one but I looked at them very closely, and they are very freefly friendly rigs. BOC Hackey and BOC Freefly handle are simply personal decisions. Hackey you pull and throw, Handle you peel, pull, and throw. If the BOC spandex is tight and wll maintained a hackey is just fine. Not sure about the Micron, but some BOC Handles are attached to the pilot chute which slides into the BOC Pouch. But some Freefly handle systems are PUDs, which the Pilot Chute is attached to the Bridle and tucked under the main closing flaps. This is a completely different deployment system, and a little more than just preference. The deployment process is much different between a PUD and BOC. I'd double check and make sure you know which it is and what your preference is based on that. Both are Freefly friendly. Later,
  18. I was jeolous just because you were going to MOAB. Now I'm really jealous..........Man I miss those two.
  19. Christine and I had a good time at dinner. Jerry and his friend John, Brandon, and Whitney made it out. Hope to see more of you this weekend, I'll be up at CSS this weekend. We have Season Tickets for the Hurricanes so if folks want to go to a game we can get additional tickets at Season Ticket Rates. About 10-15% less. Get me a list of names of who wants to attend and I can collect the money and get the tickets. Zachary will be coming soon!!!! Christine is due 10/31 but he could come at any time now. We are excited. He will be a Caniac......He has no options there. See you all soon.
  20. Matt, Don't Fart around with your knee. Get an MRI ASAP and get the results read by an orthopedic specialist ASAP. Knee's are nothing to mess around with or take lightly. As I am PAINFULLY aware. If you caused any signigificant damage you only have a 3-4 week window to get it address surgically and still have a good recovery. XRays will not find torn ligaments or muscle damage so get an MRI now. Get a proper diagnosis now not later. Good Luck, and I hope it's nothing serious.
  21. Wow you must really suck at Freeflyin to lose her to a Flat Flier
  22. A re-Line is much more cost effective than a new canopy. I'd go for the re-line and if you still are'nt happy sell it and demo the other X-Braced Models. You can get your money back for the re-line by upping your price to cover the new lineset. My Vote is the JVX, considering I have two of them. I love this canopy. LOVE IT. Compared to the VX and the Xaos, I think the JVX has better openings and performance. I have never jumped a Velocity so I have no frame of reference there.
  23. Yeah guys lay off Chuck.............Geez I can't bust a buddies Chops without an attack on Chuckie Blue. Wish I hadn't posted it now.... Chuck how was the move down to FLA, You settled in?
