  1. when we were doing our heavy riding 2-3 years ago, we got made fun of on a regular basis for wearing head to toe gear by other bikers. I always retorted with, I dunno, I like my face and skin. Watching an ER show on TV, and listening to the shrieking people with road rash made me NEVER ride without gear ever again.
  2. there's no sport touring option....
  3. loooooky loooooky at the post date!
  4. Tecumseh is up to $26 now. But I'm alright with that, I'd like a profitable DZ so that I can continue jumping.
  5. No need to rub it in!!!!!!!!!
  6. camping in the mountains....and I'm stuck living in Michigan.
  7. hey hey hockeytown! Sucks though, I stayed up the other night to watch them win....watch them lose, and I was whooped tired and fell asleep during the game last night! DOH!
  8. I'm excited about this canopy, and want to demo one when the hype clears out (or if Nick brings one to our boogie). I fly a triathlon now, but have also enjoyed flying a pilot, so I will be curious to see how this sucker is
  9. Hope he brings a storm or 2 for me to demo as well. Sounds fun :)
  10. man, everytime I see that shark dive video it scares the poop out of me.
  11. Exactly. Bend over, Take it, And say "Thank you sir may I have another". I, for one, bike to work at least 3 days a week. Sometimes more. I wish I had that option, but I've got a 25 mile drive into work. At least I have a Civic that makes gas tolerable still!
  12. what can we do? Get used to it!

    Skydive Tecumseh

This is the best DZ in Michigan. I started off here a bit unsure of myself and I had nothing but solid support and excellent instructors (Ryan, Karl, Brian) along the way. Had it not been for the positive vibe at Tecumseh I would not be where I am today! Tecumseh has a big wide open landing area that has been segregated for HP landings and standard pattern landings, and the student area is free of obstacles, you couldn't ask for a better area to land in. Facilities are great, showers, camping room, indoor packing, etc. And the bonfires at the end of the day are the best! Whether you come for IAD, AFF, or to do a Tandem you will be handled with professionalism. The transition to new ownership has been quite successful, and I can't wait to see how this place grows. Thanks Franz!
  14. I was under the impression that someone wanted to open one, but it never happened....maybe it's changed in the past year!
  15. no sport jumping in China. Most Chinese look at you like you're insane when you tell them about jumping.
  16. this thread reminds me of when we were in the tunnel back in January, I nailed my 360 turns, and the coach told me to side-slide...I said I didn't know how! He just pointed right, I thought about it, and bam moved right, moved left. I was so proud of myself. I know deep story that you all wanted to hear.
  17. I got a full face to remedy this issue...but I'd love to get a pair of Rx goggles, thanks for the links!
  18. According to that phone in site that Thanatos posted a few weeks ago, Cook is going to win. But I don't know how accurate that site is.
  19. Although Archuleta sang his heart out last night, I still think that Cook should win. He's more original and versatile. It was nice to see Archie not butcher songs for once. I still don't like his version of Imagine though....
  20. I'm fairly new and just got my license at the end of September last year, and with 75 jumps....jumping at a boogie makes me nervous! Air traffic is my biggest worry, and I doubt holding in brakes at that big of an event is going to give you clearance from other jumpers since another load will be coming out! I'll still be at summerfest though, at least for the hellfish toga party!
  21. I really wish I could be there to help out, the people of Sichuan found a place in my heart last summer, and this disaster depresses me...especially after the significant amount of time I spent at the schools in Nanbu. Although 100+ miles away from the epicenter I am still worried about my friends and wish I had a way to contact them.
  22. Well, he is an Aggie. A pot-smoking hippy Aggie, but an Aggie none-the-less. Aw.......I don't think that's a fair assumption
  23. Yeah....Jason was my favorite on the show, but I still believe he wasn't performing up to par for numerous reasons...not really "throwing himself under the bus" persay, but I do believe he didn't want to be there anymore. Proof of that is listening to his studio recordings along with his previous performances...they're beautiful. His elated smile is proof he was happy to go home. honestly I don't think anyone else had anything to do with him going home. Agree to disagree
