Honestly, they don't realize it, cigarettes do great things to the sense of smell edit: I used to smoke, and my dad would always bitch about my coat reeking, I thought he was just being an ass, but after I quit and regained my sense of smell I realized how bad smokers smell. Tell him, I'm sure he doesn't realize it and will make an effort to make you more comfortable!

I haven't listened to my sirius in awhile, I keep forgetting to get it out of the other car, but I've NEVER had commercials on the music stations. Is this new???

Fibula, femur, or fatality (105 elliptical 1.3 PSF 127 jumps)

actually, yeah, you're right. The more that I think about it I totally see the comparison. It all comes out of the "I gotta be cool" in this sport idea. Sorry! -
"Free" Some were free, others were not. Slavery was practiced by some nations, others not. On the West coast the Haida were tribute collecting thugs that oppressed many people much like the Vikings did in Europe. The truth is because the entire hemisphere was non-literate we just don't know that much for sure. The historical records of story telling cultures are extremely susceptible to revisionism. Well yeah, history is written by the winner, not the loser

Um, they were called people, and were usually referred to by the tribe they were apart of. There was no set name for "north & south America", most natives didn't think in that sort of way, they weren't westerners. I think they just called it home.

New riders hit a danger zone after the first 6-12 months when they start to get comfortable on the motorcycle. So you can't presume a straight progression for skydiving, or that they become less prone to error over time. It may well be that the longer they get from their last form of training, the more likely they are to make a mistake. Not to take the thread off topic at all, but I do believe it is really hard to compare skydiving and motorcycling. The majority of motorcyclists out there are not safety conscious like the majority of skydivers are. This is evident in what people wear while riding. Back when we used to ride, we were teased by other riders because of the amount of gear we wore while riding. -
I knew I liked you for a reason!

How long is the wait for a USPA license?
AnKaLi replied to AnKaLi's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
obviously they came in order of importance -
I also had another coach tell me to yell off the step (with a big yipee!) so that I'm pushing the energy out of my mouth and not with my feet/legs. I never remembered to do this off the step, but it might be something worth trying, good luck!

I had a huge kicking problem during IAD progression (similar to SL). It never made me unstable though, I usually did it while holding a perfect arch. Its something that I eventually stopped the more freefall time I got. With the 5 second delays I would realize I was kicking, but never had the time to make the correction. I think by my 10 second delay they were gone. I made a few AFF jumps in between there, and I always had time to correct the kicking, so it might be a time thing. But its something you have to discuss with your instructor. I tend to kick when I'm a bit overwhelmed, its something in my subconscious that I'm not able to stop. I did a new dive off the step yesterday and ended up on my back, and I kicked and swam for a bit before I arched, got stable and then pulled.

I cannot get enough of the John Butler Trio. I was obsessed with the album Sunrise over Sea, but now I cannot stop listening to Grand National.

I thoroughly enjoyed my 1st and 2nd tandem, and then on the 3rd one I was like, wait a minute, something is missing here...I learned what rather quickly

Stupid question, but I faxed in my yellow card back at the beginning of the month, should I have received something by now, or are they poky about getting those things out? I just want to be able to make googley eyes at it as much as possible over the winter.
