  1. Bullshit. That approach completely disregards the original intent and meaning behind the 2nd Amendment. There are numerous papers, written by the actual authors defining quite clearly their reasons behind the Amendments (and not just the 2nd). It doesn't have much of anything to do with sporting, hunting, or self defense. But please, don't take my word for it.... look it up yourself. Randomly f'n thingies up since before I was born...
  2. Not quite... All that's really going on is 'the Constitutional Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act', allowing folks to travel across state lines without becoming a felon because a particular state doesn't understand that the 2nd amendment doesn't stop at their state line. Spin it whatever way you like... folks here are well aware of your position on this subject. Randomly f'n thingies up since before I was born...
  3. All good ideas.... but I'd like to add: Corporations are not people. Randomly f'n thingies up since before I was born...

  5. This linked story of parachuting beavers (not a SIS event ) got me to wondering if 1) anyone here know anything more about the story? Who was the rigger, how'd they come up with the idea, etc... and 2) what are some of the other 'odd' stuff that's been done in the past with parachutes. Anyone? 7. Are you suggesting that folks should not be involved politically / socially / whatever... because of how their pictures or actions "could" be viewed at some point in the future??? Or are you suggesting that folks shouldn't be involved in something that you just don't agree with? Randomly f'n thingies up since before I was born...
  8. What about automobiles? Far more accidents, death, and personal / property damage result from autos.... Randomly f'n thingies up since before I was born...

  10. I disagree.... I feel that joining the military is absolutely a priviledge. Our armed forces are voluntary, there is no draft. There is no compulsory obligation to serve. Randomly f'n thingies up since before I was born...
  11. I think it's a priviledge to live in a society that affords you the opportunity to be able to collect welfare... but I'd much rather see mandatory birth control for ALL who accept assistance rather than drug tests. You want the $, get your shot or accept govt paid for spay/neuter. Randomly f'n thingies up since before I was born...
  12. I vote No.... and wonder why this isn't a poll. :P Randomly f'n thingies up since before I was born...

  15. There's an aspect to this not mentioned yet... and that is 'do you "trust" a rigger you don't know, never met, and have no relationship with to inspect, assemble, and pack up the system that is going to prevent you from becoming one with the planet?' A few years back, I dropped the cash for a complete custom system. It all came in right as I accepted a job out of state, so the 'dealer' I went thru had an 'available' rigger assemble it and it was given to me 'ready to jump'. Upon arrival at a new dropzone, the crusty old rigger who inspected my gear called me over and emphatically grounded the rig! The reserve ripcord had been misrounted which "could have" resulted in a total of the reserve, or at a minimum a very hard reserve pull. My point is... all riggers are not the same. Develop a relationship with your rigger of choice. Any rigger can, and will make mistakes. I prefer to put my life in the hands of someone I trust versus a no-name rigger that I've never met. If I'm away from my rigger and need work done... fine. But it gets inspected / redone by HIM when I get home. Just food for thought... YMMV. Randomly f'n thingies up since before I was born...
  16. Tastes GREAT... less filling then you'd think too!

    Wings

I jump a Wings.... Hands down it's the most comfortable rig I've jumped. Customer service has been beyond exceptional.... I ordered it with the skinny chest strap and a couple of months after delivery decided to send it back to have the traditional wider chest strap installed since my alti was flipping... I paid for shipping to them... they covered everything else and had my rig back to me
  18. You, the person owning the card, does not get fined or pay a penalty. The business that takes your card would pay the "fine" to the CC clearing house... in this case USPA would poney up the fundage as a part of doing buss, since as they stated, "...The trouble (staff time) of notifying all members that we cannot process their request until the code provided outweighs the monthly penalty." 20. And I'm sure THIS has nothing at all to do with it.... There's generally more than two sides to every story, and there appears to be enuff blame to go around. This being said, I would hope/think the actions of a Federal agency would should be above reproach. Randomly f'n thingies up since before I was born...

  22. Hey Boomer... I just quoted the article. I don't agree with the quote. I personally feel that you have a 'duty' to protect your, or your families, well being from harm by whatever means necessary. Me thinks we on the same page here. Randomly f'n thingies up since before I was born...
  23. I read the article.... the puzzling part to me is: WTF is this 'duty to retreat' when attacked in your home? I've not heard of this... I have heard of the 'Castle Doctrine' though. Randomly f'n thingies up since before I was born...
  24. John is a hell of a big way guy... but I don't think he's considered 100 % disabled. Am I wrong? Randomly f'n thingies up since before I was born...
