"30. You're on the computer more than you're on the telephone." Really, someone going to college who doesn't surf porn all the time -

scammers asking about skydiving training via email

A lot of times it is a Credit Card scam. They book an expensive all inclusive trip on a cloned or stolen credit card. You put it through your CC machine with no problems, they then cancel and ask for a refund - not to the credit card, but to some other source (western union kind of thing). The card payment then gets queried after you have made the refund and you are out a ton of money. Happened to a friend of mine recently who owns a resort. It seemed legit but he refused to repay to any other source than the original credit card. They became agitated on their E-Mails which sent up red flags to him. He later found out that the card had been cloned. Thankfully he hadn't sent the money to them the way they wanted so he is only out the credit card fees, but it could have been a lot worse. -
Need help deciding Arbua or Belize-Need help fast :)

Depends what you want to do while on vacation. Belize has a lot to offer, nice beaches, jungle, some of the best scuba diving I have ever done, warm clear water to name but a few. Belize is just coming to the end of a very long hot dry spell and I suspect that near the end of May the weather might be a little unsettled - but don't let that put you off. During the Boogie people tended to stay in the Sunbreeze hotel www.sunbreeze.net not the cheapest but very nice indeed and the island of Ambergis Caye offers a lot. Inland there is Placencia, which is quieter, but just as spectacular and even though right at the end of the season, you may get a glimpse of the amazing whale shark. Roberts Grove is stunning www.robertsgrove.com but again a little on the pricy side. I have never been to Aruba but live in Belize so PM me if you would like some more info. Colin -
Palms, Lime, Grapefruit, Oranges, Soursop, Tomatoes, Watermelon. Oh and a Banana tree that the sheep keep eating. Plans are for corn, sweet pepper, habanero, onions and maybe some carrots. We also have some of the best bush medicine that I am still learning about.

How many vibrators does this guy want to steal? And then what does he do - open an Ebay store? And think of the embarrassment if you're caught for armed robbery of a [women's] sex shop. I can just imagine the conversation in the shower now: 'Armed robbery huh? what did you steal' 'Oh, some dildos and lacy underwear' 'REALLY ..... whoops you dropped your soap!'

Is your profile correct? At 2 jumps you have time to wait before you get your first rig. It's a big investment and you should make your choice carefully and shop around. Check out the gear reviews and see what other people say. In saying that I have 2 sabres and have only been spanked once (hard) after I was lazy and gave it to a packer. I now pack exclusively myself and have not had this problem since - fingers crossed. The advice on getting a rigger to check it out is good advice.

From Grimmie's facebook page: "We won a thriller in a shootout...5-4. We were down 0-2 in the first. We were up 4-3 in the third with 3 minutes remaining. 1:39 left we got a tripping penalty. They pulled their goalie for an extra attacker and tied the game up with 16 seconds left! We scored the only goal of the shootout. What a game and we raised a heck of a lot of cash for MDA. The fans were tremendous!"

Not sure what is worse, the game show or reading the Daily Star!

Any NEW dropzones out there?
moggybean replied to ZigZagMarquis's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Grimmie will be opening Tsunami Skydivers Oceanside later this year. -
I think people tend to post about them more. Probably because of a few reasons, higher internet usage, lessons to be learned - that kind of thing. But you also need to look at the number of jumps per year 20 years ago to the number of jumps now. It might seem that there are more reserve rides now, but average them out and the picture might be different. Just my thoughts. Colin

Beat me to it. Was going to be my suggestion. Belize is a wonderful place with plenty to do and see. Not just saying that because I live here either. -

I've done a couple of the one day courses and they were invaluable in stepping up my riding skills. They teach you good road positioning for better visibility. I would highly recommend doing one - it can also lower your insurance . Also check out the IAM website www.iam.org.uk (don't know how to make it a clicky, sorry). It will give you details of groups near you who will take you to IAM standard - even better for your insurance. R6 is an awsome bike, have fun and ride safe. Colin

Using a damn big lawn mower to clear areas - we use a bush hog on our ranch in Belize. Easy way to clear a big area in a short time.

I like dogs, but I don't want any of them licking or sticking their noses on me. They are really filthy. When I was little, this little neighbor dog would follow the horses around on the trails by our house and gobble up what the horses left behind, Yummy! I've got 5 horses and 6 dogs. The dogs never seem to be hungry for some reason

How about teaching your son before he's a teenager (at age, oh I dunno, 3?) not to hit/harass/threaten girls. And then he cracked under peer pressure...... You can't always blame the parents for a child going off the rails. The fact of the matter is that this so called teacher attacked a pupil. Maybe she thinks she was justified in doing so, maybe she was having an off day, maybe her father had just died..... it doesn't matter, what she did was wrong and she should be punished. My 2 cents.
