looked like perfect opening, that opening is what i try to pack for every single time. even endcell closure and slider barely pushing down. and my safire did that, my crossfire, katana and my jvx does that. as your wingloading increases it will snivel less. Get use to slow openings, it is year 2010, we pull high and we go thru 750ft plus openings. Gone are the days of pulling at 2000 and have sabre1 openings. Bernie Sanders for President 2016

i was waiting for someone to say this, Golf cart kills more people yearly than any canopy accident combined. speed wise if 747 jet wing is nascar 3.0 wingloaded x-braced is a golf cart. Im pretty sure that if you know how to fly with an muilti jet engine rating, you can figure out how to pull down a toggle and sets of risers. Problem is that no one here at dz.com sees your landing regularly enough to say anything. You know how the wing works so jump it. Just keep in mind that human body is very very fragile, and they really break at something that seemes minimal impact. You sound older than most skydivers, between 20 to 30. And older machine tends to break easier. And finally if something seemes off, you always have option to take it in straight. One of my friend started to jump velo with less than 400 jumps at 2.1 wingload you better step up. I too think that number rule should be thrown out in some cases. Two of my pilot friends landed inside 10 meter target using s turns on aff level one. I couln't do that until jump number 100. Some will progess sooner than the other, and some doesn't progress at all. If you are looking for a justification, you probably are not experienced enough, all those i know with rapid downsize and heavy wing load for their jump number, really did not ask anyone if they can jump it, they just jump em. I jumped Sabre 1 and cobalt that opened really really shitty. No matter what I did, single or double stow it opened hard. I always tell people that if you own a fast opening canopy it will open fast no matter what you do. ie, rolling the nose in, wrapping the tail more than others, double stowing the band. Key to soft opening is to get a soft opening canopy. I only single stow my lines, I did try double stowing for more than 50 jumps less than 100. and I feel with single stow initial snatch is definitely quicker but once it comes out the bag it feels the same. Only with double stows I feel weird hesitation between PC throw and canopy out and sometimes resulting in linetwist. I'm not saying that I never get slammer with my openings, sometimes it happens. But I've decided that occasional hard opneing is much better than occasional line twist. and I use very tight black small rubber bands and i have 350 lbs hma. Bernie Sanders for President 2016
