yeah kevin you were the guy i was talkin about, simon shipped out the canopy today im guessing so next time im at the dz ill fly it and see if i like it, i jumped the 129 crossfire 2 so i dunno, i might be spoiled already, if i dont like it though i can always send it back so its all good He who makes a beast of himself gets rid of the pain of being a man

im curious if anyone can give me any type of input on how they're canopy preformed after receiveing the line mod. My friend jumps a 149 crossfire and after he got the line mod he says its been opening hard, i was talking to simon from Icarus and im shortly going to be demo'ing a crossfire 129 with the line mod, hes says that the openings are kind of squirrely since after the mod. Demo'd a Crossfire 2 139 & 129 the 129 loaded at 1.5 and it flew great...1.5 is lightly loading that canopy since it tends to really want to fly, Icarus says the "sweet spot" for the canopy is 1.85 all in all i was very impressed, openings were very soft, riser pressure light, i was doing 180 left followed by 360 right no prob, its kinda of twitchy and likes to be landed with speed, the flare kicks ass you can slow that thing way down before stalling it. toggle turns were fast and i felt really in "control" im not a long snivel person so the only thing that i really didnt like were those long snivels i was constantly getting on the rear risers to pressurise the canopy.. if i had a camera on my head im sure this would be the canopy for me, very consistant.. the recovery arc is also longer then a crossfire 1...well thats my input i hope it helps a little He who makes a beast of himself gets rid of the pain of being a man

its not the thought of taking your eye off the ground that is kinda crazy, but you do realize that those little paintballs are going 290fps (feet per second) + or - 30 fps we'll say. im leaning towords some canopy damage here..or a shot to the eye mean no more eye and very possibly death skydiving goggles dont have the protection needed. I am pretty involved in playing paintball lots of fun for my weekdays, under canopy though your F'in crazy just my opinion though but what do i know im just a kid? Things went well for me Helped set up for THE boogie mon and tues. Packed throughout to make cash to jump made 10 jumps all freefly and they went really sweet. Made my 100th saturday night sunset load, nothin special went up with two frends and had a saweeet dive to bad the battery died on nico's camera. Demo'ed 139 & 129 crossfire 2's and they're very nice, i was really impressed by they're preformance, icarus just rocks! Thats abotu it though got some ice water dumped on me and cake in the face. I pack for my local Dz home of "THE" boogie, im pretty much the only one who packs student rigs consistanly every weekend, its a pain in the ass but its my only way to pay for jumps i get the usual rate 5 per student rig 10 for a tandem all the money goes to acct. I put myself through Aff last summer with packing and this summer ive only made about 50 skydives but, im learning alot hopefully i can get a job at the convention packin for kathy and make some hard core $$$. Hey guys, Sorry for being so late on this post but ive been at the Dz all week and im kinda slow. The 23rd-25th will be the ballon fest at Richmond, That is the weekend they will be there. The price hasnt been confirmed yet but i do know they charge 140 for a full 45 mins ride, and i doubt theyre gonna charge us full price cause all were doin is goin up. I hope to see some faces from Dz.com here that weekend and dont forget the next weekend is BOOGIE BABY sweet shit. Gonna have a good time Untill then this is Shortbus saying so long.. well ill try to make this short, but here goes: Some guys from arizona were supposed to be coming up today, a 6 man team and anyway they turned out to be full of shit, my friend set that up with them guess he knew them through the web site he runs, So now we dont have a place to stay friday night and saturday night.....so the two 17 year olds decide to call around and see what we can manage, Call the ramada tell them whats goin on, give them the sob story and ask if its possible to fax a copy of the waiver with a signature and a witness of someone who is over 21, hell maybe even get it notorized. So the nice lady on the phone says she talked to her manager it wont be a problem....I tell her let me call her back and set something up i need to confirm this with my friend and his mom. I call back and remind her who i am and ask her for the fax number, and she tells me i cant do that...after she just told me i could. I got on the phone with the manager and was real calm explained the situation thinking maybe there is a nice person in the world....going round and round she finally says "your wasting my time" and i lost it and told her she can goto hell and a bunch of unneccasary profanitys... Bottom line is we got hosed tommy...we got hosed......oh davey........ now i get to drive 1 1/2 hours to the feild and worry about keeping my paint cool and all that fun stuff, the drive doesnt bother me its the fact that people are just heartless.....and to think i missed the freefly fest for this....damnit damnit damnit...well guys, gals...and clay thanks for readin and hopefully youll be able to say somethin to boost my spirits and my newly aquired green hair.
