Satch im a little late in this post but, i started jumping a sonic 150 when i had 42 jumps i weigh 165-170 lbs. w/o gear and the smallest canopy i jumped besides that was a 220 raider.the first jump was scary, but i felt prepared for it and that is what its going to boil down to...Are you willing to take the risk of jumping that small of a canopy? do you feal comfortable downsizing so quickly...Just be carefull what every you do... dont give in to pressure and hook it He who makes a beast of himself gets rid of the pain of being a man

I personally dont like tube stows, local dz rigger pointed out to me that if you have a bag lock bands will break, however tube stows wont...that was enough for me..ughh i shouldnt have drank so much alone He who makes a beast of himself gets rid of the pain of being a man

I packed for a guy this weekend who had a 120 stiletto i think...im not sure if its the right sq. ft but it was a stiletto. All i did was a normal propack and insted of just shoving the nose back i rolled the top 4 cells and the bottom 4 cells and tucked them into the 5th then shoved the nose back, set it down and bagged it like normal. He said it opened great so thats what i do. On a side note line twists are bad on thoses things so becarefull He who makes a beast of himself gets rid of the pain of being a man

I'll be at "The" Boogie in Richmond last year was my first boogie and i had one hell of a good time, between the fire jumps and all the mischeive i got into, but thats another story the i only had 30 some jumps so i couldnt really do much but i had a great time just being there. From what i understand the weekend before the boogie there is going to be a Balloon festival or somethin maybe there might be some sweet balloon jumps. Im just hopin about that. Who ever is gonna be at richmond and is lookin to jump with a freak come jump with me i'd love to meet some people from Dz.com you guys seem pretty cool, so come on down and enjoy. Tequila in my own defense i didnt lead her on to make her belive i wanted something like a house and 2.5 kids and the american dream. I told her im not looking for something serious, so last month she starts talking about our future and "our" house i really did care about this girl and thought maybe things might work out so i tried to do everything right. Things looked good, but I just had this fealing. She was sucking me into this serious relationship that i didnt want. This weekend has had its ups and downs. A good friend at the Dz was hurt after having a Mal and flaring his reserve to high he landed on his back and his cypress box hit his spine and he broke his T-7 he'll be out for 3 month which is unfortunatley boogie and Nationals. So speedy recovery for him. He posted on here occasionally as JayBird. Also, as far as i go My Truck broke down so ive been stranded at the DZ all week it hasnt been to bad since im a packer im making money to pay for the repairs, but damn my hands hurt. I also cutaway from a relationship that was going quite well im not sure why i cut away from a perfectly good canopy. I feal like shit because i hurt someone i care about. But i am single so if any ladys are coming to Richmond dont be a stranger. Guys any words of support would be really great right now im fealing kind of down. Im sitting here typing my resume trying to get a welding job for the summer i really dont know what im doing i post it here if someone could help me *office space voice* that'd be great...i also have some references i left out cause they're kinda trivial for the moment but i do have 5 1 yr. Flatrock High School Vocational Program Teacher: Walt Sisler Knowledge: Grinding: I have been taught how to effectivly use an Angle or Benchgrinder to give metal a tighter fit, removing any mill scale from older steel, also know how to properly maintain an angle grinder (replacing the disk, tightening loose screws, and safely using it) Flame Cutting: Properly using an Oxy/Acetleyen torch to cut through various thinkness and lengths of metal. Changing the tanks if they run out, Cleaning the torch tip to ensure the cleanest cut posible. Also to be aware of objects around the hoses to prevent fires or explosions. Chipping / Wire Brush: Cleaning the weld specimen after it is completed is important to make the finished project look as neat as possible. Being aware not to leave chipper marks in the metal and to use a stainless steel wire brush to prevent weld pool contamination. Protection of self and others: Always wear saftey glasses once entering the work area and watching out for other to make sure they are efficently protected. Wearing a welding helmet with a shade 10 lense when welding and when cutting goggles with a shade 5 lense. Proper body,arm, and leg protection from sparks or hot peices of metal. No loose clothes when grinding to prevent them from getting caught in the wheel. GTAW: 3g certified with .035 dia wire. know various techniques depending on the weld situation i.e (weaves,stringers,whipping motion). Knows how to set the flow rate on the sheilding gas also can see the effects of no sheilding gas (perosity) and fix the issue before it becomes a mojor problem.I am very confident in my welding ability and will back my welds 100% with absolute confidence SMAW: 3g certified with 6010/7018 also have 4f experience and am very efficent in all types of SMAW. I am very confident with my capabilitys and will always give 100% in my welds i hold them as my highest priority and reflect back on myself. T.I.G: I have worked on Stainless Steel and Aluminum in various positions up to 4f. TIG is considered very challenging and requires great concentration out of the welder. I am focused and my TIG efficency is very high. I am aware on how to properly set the flow rate on the sheilding gas. How to prevent contamination of the base material and the tungsten. Water cooled and Air cooled torches arent a problem for me. Plasma Cutting: I have been taught how to use a plasma cutter and know how to make sure the machine is hooked up properly and is running properly. Line Burner: similar to an Oxy/acetlyene torch operation of a line burner is not a problem for me. i still find roller coasters fun and 40 bucks for a day of fun isnt bad considering 40 bucks at the dz can be gone within an hour. I think its kind of funny how they have a ride in the back called the "Ripcord" and it cost more then a jump ticket, its fun but id rather pay the 20 for the jump. I have mixed fealings i guess. They're both fun for different reasons, oh yeah waiting in line for 2 hours sucks i say screw that part. the Flatbread sandwich thingys ant McDonalds are pretty good i just tried one. I'm still relativley new to the world of skydiving, with my handfull of jumps i have gotten closer to the people at my Dz then i can image. Everyone at the Dz is now considered my family. They took me under their wing and have protected me and taken care of me. With out the people i have been so fortunate to meet who knows where i would have ended up right now. Seems like the sport of skydiving is just one big family and everyone knows everyone in one way or another. It is very sad to lose a loved one and i wish that the impact they have had in everyones lives, it sticks with that person and they learn something that was taught to them. For all people lost in this sport Blue skys Forever...

Hes doing AFF this summer i managed to talk him into it but thats a while away and i cant let him beat me i mean comon everyone knows you can go faster then 170 look at the speed fliers who are getting close if not over 300mph so now i just need to be able to logically explain it......Grrrr my head hurts
