I want to be cremated and have my closest skydiving family members do an ash dive. It's comforting to know whenever, whereever, or however I go, I always have at least one more skydive!

The mock emergency exit thing is kind of a good idea, but maybe they could annouce it before take off so no one gets hits later. Pilot could tell everyone that they are going to do an emergency exit but don't tell any of the jumpers what altitude they will be getting out at...could be 2000', could be 5000', could be 10000'. Would keep everyone on their toes for that jump.

I have a Vector that was converted to BOC so I put my shorts in my leg strap. Another thing to note...if you land and put your shorts on and walk in the club house, it's very difficult to take your rig off without taking the shorts off again. So when you land, slip your leg straps off and then put your shorts on!

This is soooo true. When I was in college I had some long distance charges show up to places that I didn't know anyone. I called the local phone company and they said the long distance company that was charging them "specialized" in pay phones in prisons! Turns out that prisnors where looking up name and numbers on the U of MN website directory, then making long distance calls and having them charged to our phones. The only check that the long distance company did was made sure the name and number matched and that the phone bill was regularily paid. And this was so ramped that a girl on my hockey team had the samething happen to her the same week. There are hundreds of thousands of students and staff listed on the U of MN website! But how many people just go and pay their bills without looking at them.

Anyone know what a heli jump is going to cost? I want to jump something cool while I'm at my beer boogie! See everyone tomorrow night...I can't wait!!!!

Almost got through the weekend with stand up landings, but unfortunately, I had one no winder where I landed on my knees--glad I got the reinforced black knees!)

GaryC! I am so jealous! I think if Dilana gets over her little "bytch" episode, and Supernova wants or will accept a female lead singer, Dilana has it. I felt like she was totally ambushed though. Editing does wonders for not just reality TV, but for all types of media. Toby is H*O*T!! I wouldn't mind going "down under" with him! Jury is still out for me on Magni. Ryan annoys me. Not sure what it is. Sort of a fake-ness to him. It's like he's trying to be someone that he's not just to be in the band. I think the winner should have come into this competition themselves, and win being themselves. Storm won't make it. Lucas is....weird, but its a weird that makes me want to watch him.

I agree...to a certain extent. This is skydiving, not ballet. Your life depends on doing the right things at the right time. If you f*ck up, you don't just have a bad recital, you majorily injury yourself or worse, you die. You have to be able to take criticism, not matter how it's delivered. Coaches and instructors are there to make sure you don't kill yourself, not to make you feel good about yourself. And before I get slammed for being so cold, like I said, I agree with you. Delivery means a lot, but don't take the delivery personal. Wipe off all the crap they coat it with and turn it into constructive criticism yourself. This helps in all facets of life.

#6--Self inflicted 2 out jump #42--1st jump on my own rig, breaks came unstowed on opening and one toggle flipped way up and was upside down, couldn't get it, should have cutaway but tried to land using rear risers. Hit ground in full flight with pretty much no flare. Walked away! #57 1st Naked Jump #58 1st Eight Way

I love my little Cessna dropzone, although we have all promised Bob an Otter if any of us hit the big time lottery! Doing 5+ jumps are cool with 182's. I did my beer 8 way last weekend and it was very cool meeting up with the second group in mid-air. And FYI...I drive 2 hours to my home dz, passing an Otter dz that's only an hour from home. Completely worth the drive!!

I'm in MN, one of my favorite things to do in the winter when it's cold enough is take a glass of water, go outside, chuck it in the air and watch the water crystalize before it hits the ground. It's very cool. I, too, am not looking forward to jumping in the winter, but where there is a will, there is a way...
