A friend for Maryland was visiting the island a couple of months ago. Hes blacker than the night, and I was trying to convince him to do a tandem. He said "get this in your big white head, brothers dont jump out of planes". I was thinking of a come-back, but nothing came to mind. In our DZ theres only 1 black guy, but hes not normal heheh. I dont remember seeing any other brother in any picture or in any movie. Is it true that brothers dont jump out of planes? Whats your experience in your DZ? HISPA #93 DS #419.5

out of topic but, from my log book... out of 46 jumps 4-silo230 14-sabre190 28-sabre170 from the 14 jumps on 190, last 8 have been bcuz another student was using the 170. i weight 155lbs w/o gear. stood up all 46 landings. btw, anyone has a sabre170 or thriatlon160 for sale?

Obviously lm no one with 46 jumps, but if theres a group going out after me, I wont track towards them. And if Im in the 2nd group, the same applies. Common sence? Newbie question now.... If everybody from both groups pulls at 4k, like in this case, and groups have 5+ second separation. Isnt that enough? I mean, I pull at 4k, and the next group pulls at 4k, but 5+ seconds after me. Last february during a beach jump, a friend had a spinning mal. He chopped and rode the reserve to the beach... 2 minutes later there was a police boat and helicopter looking for a jumper in the ocean. We told them is a a empty canopy and they left. 5 months later im still listening to the stories of the skydiver that drowned and his body never recovered. I always wanted to do it. One day on my car listening to the radio I heard "The 3rd caller wins a tandem skydive", and I won. I started saving $ for AFF and 8 months later I went and did my free tandem. Next weekend I started AFF... HISPA #93 DS #419.5

If 'someone' on my jump, friend or not, gives me the pull sign around 8k for joking, he owes me an apology and a ticket. If he apologizes and pays my ticket, then he owes me a beer. If he doesnt apologizes and dont pay the ticket, then he owes me blood. Or I can pull his reserve on the ground before his next load and we are even.
