I got into the sport pretty recently. I make decent money to pay for my skydiving and pilotting hobbies. But, most people I know would like to become skydivers but they just do not have the money. It's very expensive and the other thing, I believe, is the aspect that you can die or be injured doing it. Plus, the lack of trust they have in themselves. So... But, I agree that a lot of the veteran skydivers are hanging up their rigs and calling it that. In reference to another person who made a comment about a sequal to Point Break, it would probably commercialize the hell of the sport even more that it is and jack up the prices of everything. Or maybe not. They could re-release a special enchanced version of Dropzone the movie!! -=+ Skyliber, Disynthegrate, & Nucleaire +=-

? It's a joke about how Polish people are thieves. Kinda like, the World Cup this year. "Why should you never hit a polish person on a motorbike? Because it could be yours." I agree with some people on their points, must of them are going to be listed below with some things added in my view. A. Go to the DZ and just hang out. (Maybe bring some beer and socialize, learn some things from very experienced people) B. Smile like you're a madman. (Think about all those things you nailed, as someone pointed out, and reflected how you're going to rock your next jump) C. Do not pull to low, pull at where us students are supposed to. 5,500 will give you some piece of mind when jump and leaves sometime for a small mistake. D. Get those coached jumps. When you do something right again, smile. When I did a backflip during my levels, it was excellent, my instructor saw me grinning from ear to ear. It adds confidence in yourself. E. Practice at home, Practice at the DZ, practice in the plane, think about your skydive. think about what it is you are doing on this jump. F. Watch some really kick ass videos of skydivers. G. NEVER force anything. If you can't jump that jump. Get the next load. I doubt your DZ will deny you. Well, hope that helps and enjoy it!

I know. I was just trying to joke. Either, I'm just not funny or text is quite boring! I swear I would have killed with that line have I had an Soprano accent or Schwarzenegger impress. Hell, a nice middle eastern would have done it. You wouldn't happen to know anything to soften the 'pain' in the upper legs when you are being slowed down when the parachute opens? My dz had a packing course on Friday night. I was there that day but had to get into work that night to cover my coworker who I offered to do his shift so he can go on his first year anniversary. Of course, after I offered, I found out about the course!! But, yeah, I, too, am watching those guys. I try to not let them know, I don't want to annoy or disturb or make them feel uncomfortable when packing your life saving equipment. -=+ Skyliber, Disynthegrate, & Nucleaire +=-

since you're asking ballpark, not a precise time as someone pointed out. i took mine about a month and a half ago and it was about 6 hours. a guy i know took it a week ago (different instructor) and it was about 5 or so hours. but that was just us and there were half the amount of people in the group. -=+ Skyliber, Disynthegrate, & Nucleaire +=-

Next time I'm going over, I was planning to beer a lot of beer, even before it was mentioned. A nice way to say thanks for showing me the ropes, you know. As for the interest, i like a lot of stuff and am curious about others. i editted it down from a huge list. i have a blog/journals/myspace crap that i just add to.
