  1. Since the site was reorganized to make it more friendly to mobile users I find it really annoying that a lot of functionality seems to involve hovering over a button or icon. I can’t hover on my iPad, so how am I supposed to access that functionality?
  2. I agree with your strong disagreement. No one can give consent except the woman, and she clearly did not. - Dan G
  3. Maybe, time will tell. Now it looks like they are just swapping the temperature problem for a pressure problem. I’m an engineer, so I immediately think about how something can work in the real world. If the underlying physics require a pressire measured in the millions of psi, it is not a practical application. - Dan G
  4. I’m fun at parties. I keep it cool and don’t let the pressure get to me. - Dan G
  5. Maintaining pressure at that level is easy for very small scale lab applications. For practical applications it will be just as difficult and maintaining temperature, and much for of a safety concern. Still neat, but not a great leap toward practical applications, IMO. - Dan G
  6. Some women want that, some don’t. Treat women like individual human beings and you might realize that. - Dan G
  7. Florida man claims he was cleaning his nunchucks when they suddenly went off - Dan G
  8. I don't reply to him. I did feel the need to add my voice to the growing number of people who refuse to engage him. I guess I could have done that in a more productive manner. - Dan G
  9. Yes, meat eaters are almost as persecuted as Christians. Hold on, poor fella, you can withstand the storm as 5% of the population forces their will on you. - Dan G
  10. The other cost is what the DZ does when someone doesn't check in. Now they have to devote resources to finding that person. If the person can't be found right away, they have to devote even more resources, up to and including shutting down operations and calling the authorities. 99.9% of the time it will be someone forgot to check in and left the DZ. Years ago I was on the verge of shutting down a large boogie at my DZ because we couldn't find a wingsuiter who landed off. My buddy and I spent about an hour walking around the area where we believed he landed. We had one of the planes fly over looking, too. Turns out he walked back, threw his gear in his car, and went to lunch. His cell phone battery had died so we couldn't call him, either. - Dan G
  11. Are you claiming to be some sort of military jumper now? This oughta be good. - Dan G
  12. The problem is the lack of legal process. Unless you're a billionaire, a scientist, or fucking a billionaire there is almost no way to immigrate legally. - Dan G
  13. Referencing one manufactured crisis (no tolerance detentions) to justify another manufactured crisis (closing the border to asylum seekers) is disingenuous. - Dan G

    The swamp

Well that eases my mind. Q is on the case, people. Nothing to see here. - Dan G

Great! But if it made economic sense, it would already be happening. Unless you want the government to subsidize that, too. - Dan G
  16. With the pedo jokes, people. It's not allowed and you know it. - Dan G
  17. I think you have a common misconception about what Civil Affairs does. The mission is to act as liason between the US military and local nationals in a host country. For instance, in Afghanistan we were the bridge between the US Army and the Afghan people, both government and private citizens. Civil Affairs is not involved in dealing with the US civilian population, or domestic affairs on US soil. Civil Affairs units could potentially be useful dealing with a migrant caravan, but that's not currently a part of the doctrine. - Dan G
  18. Wombats more than have their shit together, their shit is fully squared away! - Dan G

No, even a very cursory examination of this Q thing shows it is a complete scam. There is really no need to dig any deeper. Hint: if someone tells you they have a super high level clearance in any other context than a super high level cleared discussion, they are full of shit. Even people with low level clearances know that talking about their clearance in anything but the broadest of terms is a no-no. It's like skydiving. The guy at the bar loudly bragging about his skydiving experience likely doesn't have more than a tandem. Think of it another way. If the Trump Administration really had a super secret operation going on to rid the country of the "deep state" why would they be publicizing it? It defies logic. If it were really happening (which it isn't) you wouldn't hear about it until it was over. I just hope you're not considering sending those people any money. Finally, I did not lie about being a retired special operations officer. I spend eight years in a Reserve Battalion as a Civil Military Operations Officer in the Civil Affairs branch of the Army. Civil Affairs is a Special Operations branch, falling under USASOC. So when someone brags about being Spec Ops remember that's a pretty big umbrella. I never had any back channel access to anything. Neither does any other low level (below 2-3 star general) officer. And the people who do have access to miliraty plans sure as hell aren't talking about it on 8chan. - Dan G
  20. FACT: a forest fire has never destroyed a structure on the entire CONTINENT of Antarctica. Who's not in charge of Antartica? DEMOCRATS! Case closed. - Dan G
  21. Maybe we can get immigrants from Finland to do it. They might be less offensive to Trump. - Dan G

Silly. The missing word was a (Q) drop. You're so uninformed. - Dan G

I'm a retired Army Special Operations officer. Somehow I doubt Ron will start putting any stock in what I say unless I start saying things he wants to hear. - Dan G
