  1. You've already had practice with flat spin recovery. Stay safe bro see you soon. ~Freedom is never free
  2. Thanks, I appreciate that. I doubt that I will make that drive though. I might head down to Houston as I know there are a few jumpers that like the wingsuits. Thank you just the same. ~Freedom is never free
  3. Thank you all, I'm really excited to put it where it belongs in the sky. I have 11 days left for R&R but who's counting?.. ~Freedom is never free
  4. One more deployment almost over and my gift to myself is a new wingsuit. Thanks Chuck for the FFC and the good flocks, I think that was 2 Christmas boogie ago. It was shipped all the way here in Afghanistan by Kathy from baserigs.com. I got less than 2 weeks before my much needed R&R. Hopefully I can convince some people at SD Dallas to jump with me.... ~Freedom is never free
  5. Thank you, that explains it..mine is due for the 4 yr next year. Thank you much ~Freedom is never free

  7. I can't seem to get my cypress 2 to display the serial number. I'm about to list my gear for sale and I would like to put the SN. I read the user manual and they say to hold the button down after the 0 shows up...I do that and nothing happens. Could someone please tell me what I'm doing wrong and how to do it? Thanks ~Freedom is never free
  8. So school started this week, I can't believe I'm back here after a 6 year unintentional break. I was in my senior year and got activated...that was 3 tours over to the desert ago... I'm freaking out because I forgot everything I was supposed to learn...civil engineering is not exactly the easiest thing I should be doing...oh well back to class I go.. Blues ~Freedom is never free

  11. On the same note, I emailed Steffen from L&B because my Jump-Track database was now working properly and I wanted some SQL things done to it, he asked me to zip and email him the file and I had it back fixed and good to go within 24 hrs. Superb service indeed ~Freedom is never free

  15. Hey Viv, It was certainly a great boogie last time, I'm going to do my best to make it again next year. Hope to see you all there. If you haven't been, then buy your ticket now, you will not regret it.... ~Freedom is never free
  16. Hey man, I was happy to know that you finally decided to go for it. Congrats on your AFF, once you get your A license is when all starts paying off. A lot of people always say, oh man that looks cool I want to do that some day, but very few act on it. Good luck finishing your training, I will see you in a month or so when I get home and we go do some jumps. Now hurry up and finish. Blues ~Freedom is never free

  18. Congrats! See you in the desert ~Freedom is never free
  19. Not quite, He transferred some footage from his PAL camera to mine, I can see it just fine if I play it on my camera but when I'm capturing the footage in my computer it stops once the footage changes from NTSC to PAL. Thanks ~Freedom is never free
  20. Hello all, I have a PC1000 from the US and just recently I was in Spain and I got my friend's PAL format video transferred to my camera. When I try to capture the footage to Windows Movie Maker it doesn't capture the PAL portion of the tape. All I want to do is make a movie clip in my computer, nothing fancy. I have searched the forums but didn't find a definite answer. I also have the latest version of Premier Pro if anyone knows how to do it. I would certainly appreciate any help you can give me. Thank you ~Freedom is never free
  21. I just got back from a short vacation in Empuriabrava, it sure was a journey to get there from Afghanistan but I made it very easily using public transportation and a short walk. Go vartical was ongoing while I was there and the view from 16k is excellent. While the Beech99, Otter and Porter were flying everything was going well and I was able to average 10 jumps per day, however, one day the p orter didn't fly and the otter was only flying tandems and AFFs so the fun jumpers were limited to only manifesting on the Beech which meant 2 hour wait time between loads. The bar had in my opinion the wost service I have ever seen, took forever to get serviced, although the food was pretty good and at night it was pretty good atmosphere. Just like the previous review, the proshop was quite expensive and I couldn't find a shirt from the DZ to save my life. Overall, I think this is a great DZ and I recommend it to anyone wanting to travel a bit and see something new. The people are very friendly and the office ladies are great, very accomodating and friendly. I would certainly return.
  22. This is what I did, when I decided to become a skydiver I tried to get my A license as soon as possible, once I got it, I volunteered to get deployed for a year, by the time I was coming up on my leave (at the six month mark) I had enough money to buy a new complete custom rig, I ordered it and it was at my house waiting for me when I got home on leave, I jumped it for 2 weeks and then I went away for the six months I had left. That was 3 deployments ago…..currently on deployment #4. ~Freedom is never free
  23. In my young skydiving career I have visited a few countries and was able to use my USPA license, I thought I would need a BPA license in Ireland but that was not the case. Best bet is to contact the DZ or look at their website and find out directly from them. ~Freedom is never free
  24. I have my rig but no jumping in Afghanistan ~Freedom is never free
