  1. I do not see myself using Southwest Airlines unless I move out of Dallas/Fort Worth Area. For commercial flights I use DFW airport. Since SWA only uses Love Field, in Dallas, for all flights in an out of the region I can't fly with them. When DFW Airport was planned and constructed the Cities of Dallas and Fort Worth agreed to only allow flights within Texas and to bordering states at the existing City owned airports for commercial flights. The City of Dallas has gone back on this agreement and allowed current users of the Love Field to directly compete with DFW airport. I won't spend my money at Love Field. I wish SWA would move their operations to DFW airport so that more people could use them and they could fly more places. However, it is more expensive to fly out of DFW than Love. This would raise the fares for most flights originating from the region. A man without a mustache is like a hamburger without a bun, Un-American.
  2. Is there a definition of a minaret/Minaretten that will be also inserted? Is this the one that was under construction/in planning stages and was not approved? No need to translate everything. If you can provide the link/info in German I can translate it. A man without a mustache is like a hamburger without a bun, Un-American.
  3. bad article, very inacurate.. and if you knew langenthal, you'd understand why people wouldnt want minarets there; small village, very countrysidish; a minaret doesnt belong there. zurich, geneva, "big" cities; doesnt really matter there.. do you know that the first (and to my knowledge only) buddhist temple in europe sits in switzerland? since like 50yrs ago.. there's a big sikh-temple, very close to langenthal actually.. the abandoned houses stuff; well, if they cant afford to build a mosque like the one in zurich (havent seen the geneva one), well, what can i say, tough titties! Can you provide another article that is more accurate with respect to why this petition was started. You said in post #16 Where in Switzerland was someone building the minaret? I can understand why a "postcard town" would want to constrict height and the look of a structure. I could not find the actual language that will be inserted into the Swiss Constitution. Can you located this and post the source? A man without a mustache is like a hamburger without a bun, Un-American.
  4. This vote appears to have been strated because someone wanted to build a16.5 foot (5m) minaret. I can't see how something that is as tall as a one story building could affect any current building/zoning ordinances or any that could be passed to restrict such a structure. If there are current Swiss ordinances that can restrict structures that are less than 16.5 feet, please provide a link. Local ordinances from Langenthal translated to English would be beneficial. 5. I agree about imposing morals on others. However, marriage involves the most solemn vow a person can make. The vow includes fidelity. A fellow Army Officer once pointed out to me that someone who breaks that vow can not be trusted to keep any other promises. After careful consideration, I agree. It is a matter of integrity and honor. If you want to have sex with someone else, get a divorce first. If there are reasons you shouldn't get a divorce, keep it in your pants until circumstances change. Pretty simple. I don't consider it a moral issue as others here seem to. I consider it a matter of integrity. An oath was given. Was it kept? If not; what good is your word? How can there be the view that adultery is not acceptable and divorce is acceptable when they are both breaking the marriage vows? Does this view hold that a divorced person has no honor? Disagree - a divorce ENDS the marriage vow, while adultery breaks it. So a marriage vow no longer has "Until death do us part" in it?
