  1. I am pretty sure Bo's family isn't responsible for thousands of deaths. I already respect Bo's family much more than I will ever respect Mr. Bush and his sideshow.
  2. very true, there are quite a few people who have been running every day for quite some years now, without any rest days. Go to a running store and get decent shoes, specifically made for running. The difference is incredible.
  3. Sorry to hear that Scott, I love my puppy with all my heart and could not imagine losing him.....
  4. You always say that, yet there aren't many people on this forum who so ferociously attack democrats and so vocally support Bush. I guess it is like a little disclaimer so that when Bush really screws up and you can't talk your way out of it anymore you can claim you were a libertarian all along?
  5. Let's just say I disagree with you and leave it at that.
  6. Congratulations, great pictures, great news. Wow, two girls, good stuff. Madelyn is one day older than my son, pretty cool.
  7. There are some news reports out that the father of the beheaded man blames the us military. Those same reports also say that his father was a staunch opponent to the US war in Iraq. see here
  8. Ok, i am not sure I understand this. When the abuse of prisoners came to light, people were saying that we should not judge all soldiers based on the actions of a few. Now, this video comes out, as abhorrent as it is, and now two whole nations are responsible for the actions of a few and both countries should be leveled with nuclear arms? I don't get it.
  9. Actually, I think this little rant says more about you than the original post said about BillVon.
  10. That is of course assuming that you are a bachelor and live alone. Otherwise the same risk is still present and to me it would be important to follow a mandatory safety course.
  11. First of all, the far majority of jews did not know that they were being transfered to death camps. Media was tightly controled and jews were told they were going to labour camps. So, the choice became, do i get killed by the germans or do I go and work in a labour camp. Putting that all to the side. If you and Kennedy truly believe this, then how do you explain all the attrocities that Saddam Hussain got away with. Iraq was a country with an extremely high rate of gun ownership. almost all families in old Iraq owned guns. If according to the two of you the holocaust could have been prevented by gun ownership of jews, then how could all the torture and killing in Iraq have happend?
  12. Of course, it is perfectly understandable and ok that after a guy hits you with a toy baseball bat you shoot and kill him. I think this situation would have been much better if everybody around this fight would have had a gun on them as well.
  13. Words of wisdom. Too bad that those overseeing the prison system in Iraq did not recognize this, even after they were told things were going wrong.
  14. Actually I am wondering more why the Bush administration did not do more about it, specially if they knew about it but did not act on it.
  15. Since it is so incredibly easy to seriously hurt or kill some one, that just further proves to me that it should be mandatory to follow a safety course to own a gun. Just would make sense to me.
  16. Absolutely, couldn't agree more. On top of that I would like to find out why earlier reports from the International Red Cross were ignored.
  17. So are parachutes. Do you think it would be a good idea for people to start using parachutes without any training, just because they can read the provided manual?
  18. Are you realy trying to imply that WWII or the holocaust would not have happened if jews in particular or the german population in general would have been allowed to cary weapons?
  19. So what would you call strapping some one to a bed and dripping water on his head for 48 hours? No physical injury, but I would think it would be a little beyond abuse.
  20. Unless she freely, without any form of duress, consented to that act, that would be rape. I highly doubt the mp can make a successful claim that she freely and without duress consented to this act. Considering he was in quite the position of power.
  21. You don't see that there is a difference between skydiving or driving a car and owning a gun? At least for the first two there are classes and tests involved before one is allowed to participate. That doesn't seem to be the case in owning and playing with a gun. Just as long as you have the money to buy one, aren't a criminal, you are fine. At least compare apples and apples.
  22. I think the opcoming election will be very interesting to watch for outsiders like myself. Outside of the smaller groups who are staunch Bush or Kerry supporters and will vote for them no matter what, it seems that people have really only one choice to make: Do they want four more years with Bush or not. I agree that the majority of voters will vote either for or against Bush. I think that if the Democratic party had come up with a stronger candidate Bush would ahve been in a world of trouble. Now it will be close, but it will be interesting to see how many people will vote against Bush.
  23. I was not trying to carry any weight with my point, just saw it as somewhat ironic. specially since the original poster went on the say something about US morals etc etc. Anyways, just thought it was ironic.....
