  2. The presentation basically uses statistics to show that black communities are overly violent and that they are the authors of their own misfortune. It's a common tactic, and contains elements of truth. But it only looks at one side and does nothing to delve into the causes. It denies that racial bias exists. It's a prime example of Twain and Disraeli's "lies, damned lies, and statistics". Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
  3. Right wing agitprop. From their mission statement. Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
  4. Sure, just have them shipped COD. Or use PayPal protected. Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
  5. The officer did the right thing. Sometimes cops have to get into altercations. The suspect was not armed and shooting him would have been wrong. There were three cops at the scene. The injured officer may have made a tactical error in her approach, but failing to kill him was not an error. If you think otherwise I question your judgement. 6. It's hard to imagine that America could be a net food importer. It's agriculture industry is massive. (I spend a lot of time in the midwest) I do believe I have heard that Iowa alone has more production than all of Canada. Maybe it's because of the policy of turning corn into ethanol instead of food. 7. This is absolutely delicious. http://www.cnn.com/2016/09/26/politics/glenn-beck-ted-cruz-interview/?iid=ob_article_footer_expansion Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
  8. Is it possible, just maybe, that America has too many guns? Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
  9. I'm guessing it's in Mile High's interest to just drag it out and keep costing her group more money. Maybe their lawyer is too busy with other important matters. I'm sure they would like to collect the damages, but the bottom line is frustrating her efforts to hamper their operations. Let her stew in her own juices. 10. Actually an autonomous quadcopter type vehicle would seem slightly more practical. But not one that doubles as a car. Roadworthiness and airworthiness seem mutually exclusive to me. And why would it need to? Other than possibly taxiing to the hangar/garage. Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
  11. Sure, those solutions could be done. At the cost of strength, weight and durability. Engineering is a series of compromises. Nothing comes free and some problems while possibly solvable are not practical to do so. Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
  12. That explains why religious people tend to have large families. Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.

  14. How wide would the roads have to be to accommodate them? (Speaking of infrastructure problems) Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
  15. Guns don't kill babies, toddlers kill babies. Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
  16. Unless something can be done about the basic physics of providing power for propulsion, flying cars will never.....fly. The power to weight ratio needed for flight is not compatible with the weight needed to provide safety, durability, and range on the road. Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
  17. I don't make predictions on US elections anymore. In 2008 I was 100% convinced that it was not possible for BHO to be elected. Not even close. I have learned that I do not understand America as well as I thought I did. It's actually a better place than I knew. That said, it's hard to imagine Trump winning now. Unless there is a new dramatic development. Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
  18. Are you still crossing at Detroit? Stay inland until it passes. If you want a nice drive, work your way to the east and go through Charleston WV and then south on I77 through Appalachia. That will keep you occupied till the storm passes. The weather is always great after the flood! Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
  19. And who will judge the meaning of "flinch"? Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
  20. Sky, if someone is doing something that neither increases nor decreases the threat to police officers, in this case arms to sides with gun in hand, is there a reason to kill him? I'm not a cop and will never be one. However I would be inclined to think that if that person does not drop the weapon when told to, in fairly quick order, and I was in a position where I would be vulnerable if he decided to quickly aim and get a shot off at me I would be likely to shoot him if he so much as twitched. And at a moment like that, it would be easy to make an error. Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
  21. No it isn't. It's merely proof that those are organizations advocating for their members. Unlike USPA, which advocates more for it's industry. If you don't like that, it does have an elected BoD you know. Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
  22. We need hearts. We don't need guns. And we spend a lot of money on researching and lowering heart disease rates. That's where the passion is. A lot of passion, https://www.google.ca/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=5&cad=rja&uact=8&sqi=2&ved=0ahUKEwjwqZHMvMLPAhWOsh4KHViHDVgQFgg2MAQ&url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.washingtonpost.com%2Fnews%2Fwonk%2Fwp%2F2016%2F06%2F29%2Famerican-gun-ownership-is-now-at-a-30-year-low%2F&usg=AFQjCNGNC5Egxz_X5JIbecIKamK4cUyA6w&bvm=bv.134495766,d.dmo There is considerable support for gun control. http://www.gallup.com/poll/1645/guns.aspx But overall, it is clear that the time is not right in America. 23. No,no. Read the article. Only Americans are smart. The rest of the world does believe. Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
  24. This is pretty much what I've been saying too. A small majority, but a majority nonetheless of Americans are willing to pay the price in blood that having firearms available as toys entails. Of that number of people only some will acknowledge the cost. Most will deny and obfuscate about it. I like America. I am not afraid when I visit America. But I probably should be, at least some of the time. Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
  25. Who is Kellerman? If you mean John Kallend, I'm not relying on him at all. But I truly am not sure what you are talking about. Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
