  1. You are probably correct on all of that. Where I come from most of that is not deductible, and for good reason. But once something like that is in place it;'s hard to take it away. Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
  2. Trump knows that his base, his people, know that PR is filled with unworthy brown Spanish speaking folk who just don't count as real Americans. Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
  3. My guess from where I see it is that Trump does not have the political power or the skill to get the R caucus behind killing the state and local tax deduction. Mid-terms are coming up fast now. Tax reform needed to be taken care of months ago to have a real chance. It will be just one more failure to add to his record. 4. Don't mess with Newfie moose. http://www.cbc.ca/beta/news/canada/newfoundland-labrador/moose-hunting-hunter-attacked-newfoundland-labrador-1.4346689 Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
  5. No it wasn't. No it wasn't. What, in your opinion, was the humorous part about a jab against a person and their politics with whom you always disagree anyway? Both the OP and the reply COULD be considered sarcasm, generally regarded as low humour. But very poorly executed sarcasm. I use sarcasm all the time. As do many here. Many of us are quite good at it. It's sort of painful to see it done so unartfully. Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
  6. This is false. It is fear mongering. This is true. And the moment that the establishment feels threatened by it will be the moment the 2nd is either repealed, or the SC takes a very different view of what it means. Left and right is far too simple of a way to look at the competing viewpoints involved in gun control. And why stop at cannon and tanks? Why can't the people develop nukes to keep the government in line? Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
  7. Seriously, in the UN. Because they would not want to cast any vote that would undermine the death penalty. USA would not even abstain. They felt they needed to be on record as a No vote. http://www.cnn.com/2017/10/05/opinions/un-death-penalty-resolution-usa-lgbt-ghitis-opinion/index.html Thread title edited for clarity. 8. And of course no emotion is involved for the "out of my cold dead hands" people! They are always nothing but calm and rational. Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
  9. Most people but it on the bottom of the entire booty and half an inch or so past where it is sewn onto the upper part. ( all the leather and a little overlap ) It works great. Booties will basically last for the life of the suit. Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
  10. I've now heard two very different stories on the police response. One that the carnage went on for more than an hour. But more recently that it was about 11 minutes. Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
  11. Not right now. But someday. Probably when armed people threaten the establishment. Your argument that more access to fully automatic weapons would create less demand for bump stocks is true as far as that goes. But it would only make the problem worse. Obviously. And Charlie Rangle was only one vote. The will of Congress was needed to pass that law. There is already talk of further laws against bump stocks. Some of it coming from Rs. But I'm sure the NRA will clamp down on the turncoats quickly. Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
  12. I've been stalking this thread, and won't comment on the crazyness. however regarding your comment, I remember watching the TV show cops, they pulled over this older gentleman that had been driving for 40 years with no license and had never been pulled over, I couldn't believe it He definitely was a Caucasian. 13. You do if it is a commercial truck. Every 6 months. Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
  14. yep. that to. maybe thats were the name really comes from - the sound of a riser "frapping" ears About 20 years ago, our DZO at the time decided to do a jump bare headed instead of using his frappe hat. He needed six stitches to sew the torn part of his ear back in place! Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
  15. Trucks are far safer than firearms. I guess because firearms are designed to kill people and trucks are designed to move freight. About 4,000 people per year are killed in large truck accidents in the US. About 33,000 for bullets. The whole country would come to a standstill without trucks. Without guns the country would just carry on. The only difference would be far fewer grieving families. Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. 16. Well.....maybe you could make this up. But only in a cartoon. http://time.com/4969301/frying-pan-beating-death-murder/?xid=homepage Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
  17. It makes sense only when you consider two things. First, elected officials NEED to raise cash for elections if they want to keep their positions. And secondly, they know that the chances of being caught are very low. And even if it does come to light the bar for prosecution is very high. I'm sure if he knew the positions that Jared and Ivanka would end up occupying the calculation would be very different. Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. 18. Jefferson Beauregard Sessions seems to embody all that is wrong with Alabama. He comes by it honestly. Talk about "heritage". Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
  19. I guess not dying when shot makes it OK then. It's still a mass shooting. That brings up an interesting subject. We tend to focus on the deaths. But for every death there are several people who have their lives forever altered. It is America after all, so many of them will be financially ruined by medical bills. Many will not ever be able to work again. But man, those fucking toys are the coolest thing ever. You'll take them from me only by prying them from my cold dead hands. Praise the Lord and pass the peas. Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
  20. As long as the tools of war, designed to kill people and good for little else, are looked upon as mere "cool toys" America will continue to pay the price in blood. The level of selfishness in this attitude is astounding. Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
  21. Lee, they don't have higher concentrations of gun violence in those cities because they have gun control. They have gun control in an attempt to do something about the violence. But it's too late now. Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
  22. I dislike that word. However in Trump's case, the wheel is turning, but the hamster is dead. Come on now. The correct word is dotard. Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
  23. Hey, as long as he votes against the rights of women the right to lifers will be happy enough to continue supporting him. It's all about controlling the women ya know. Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
  24. I sure don't see Americans as a bunch of cold hearted killers. But some are. And the ones that are have easy access to the tools of war. Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
  25. The only way that American gun laws are going to change is if what the 2nd Amendment was written for comes to pass. As in, if the people start rising up and shooting those in power to attempt an armed resurrection. In that case the 2nd will get dumped so fast your heads will all spin. In the meantime the reality is that you are stuck with what you have. Because the simple facts are that it is there, and the majority of the people support it. America will remain a society with guns available to all that want them. And guns really are very cool toys. And we all love our toys. It would likely be the same here if the circumstances were the same. The 2nd is an accident of history with real consequences that are not going away. Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
