  1. A shithole is a place where people strap pieces of foam, seat cushions from old Desotos, plywood, and tree limbs together with bailing wire and hemp rope to risk death and escape with their families to that other shithole 90 miles to the north. These are folks who have had other family members murdered by their country's heros (who have their images painted on the sides of buildings and are worshipped by American leftists and anarchists), or have been sent to rot in their shithole prisons. A shithole is where a natural disaster completely and utterly decimates a country that cannot be restored because their criminal regime has stolen that country's wealth and left their people with nothing to rebuild. No infrastructure, no housing, no resources. A shithole is a place that sits over one of the richest oil reserves in the world yet doesn't have a meaningful economy and most of its population lives in fear and poverty. Another kleptocracy. A shithole is a country with a loudmouth puppet "leader" who has given over defacto control of that country to criminal cartels (including members of their federal police) who, themselves, are at war with each other, leaving the citizenry caught in the middle. It's a place where this is better than their homeland. A shithole is a country that (despite a 100% vaccination rate), causes its citizens to feel compelled to ship their children, unaccompanied, 1000 miles on top of freight trains, across hostile territory to "dreamland". Plenty of others. Those are all pretty good points. America is not a place people are desperate to get out of and a lot of other countries are. But the whole point of the issue is that Trump and friends do not think that any, or very few of these desperate people should be allowed in. Why? Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
  2. But probably not for you. And when it goes bad for Trump you will just stop posting for a while like you always do when that happens. Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
  3. Cuba a shithole? Well, it does have an average life expectancy about 4 months less than America's. In Canada we get about 24 months more than either of you. Define shithole. Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
  4. He clearly said he wanted more Norwegians and less people from shitholes. Do you not think he was advocating a more "whites only" policy? The funny thing is that the more he gets his way the less people from affluent counties will want to go there. But poor dark skinned people will still be beating down the doors. Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
  5. Lots of people have used the term shithole. That is not even close to the same as having the POTUS declaring that he doesn't want to allow people from shithole countries to live in the US. Because it is obvious to all the he does not consider them good enough to be Americans. Some Americans agree with him. Most don't. As an non American, my opinion is that the more Americans agree with him, the more America will be a shithole country itself. Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
  6. I understand that loyalty Wendy. But it completely overlooks the fact that the attack is coming from parishioners. They are supposed to be the heart of the family. Priests are supposed to serve. Catholic priests have a nasty habit of only serving themselves and each other. Innocent children? They can be sacrificed for the church without batting an eye. Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
  7. There is a deal available that would pass in both houses. But Ryan and McConnell will not bring it up for a vote because they are afraid the indecisive, prevaricating dotard who has hijacked the oval office may have a hissy fit if he sees it as not making America more white like his supporters are demanding. Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
  8. They are very lonely in the UK now that they have found out the the draft dodging coward dotard Trump is too frightened to visit them. Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
  9. Yes, I've exclusively Windows defender for at least 10 years. MS doesn't promote it because they don't want to be prosecuted for squeezing the other players out of the market like when they tried to capture the browser market. But it works fine without nagging you to send them any money.
  10. Only if you run out of time, I would say. I'm not a rigger, though. Anyone else have an opinion on this one? Depends on the cause of the PCIT. Sometimes after the reserve deployment the main container will open and the canopy will come out. Then there is a danger of the departing canopy interfering with the reserve and the RSL just makes the whole thing longer. Many people would say that in a PCIT situation it is better to not cutaway. But that is a whole other discussion. I personally would not fuss with an RSL release while dealing with a high speed malfunction. They clearly are not designed for that. This thread is actually about two outs, not PCITs.
  11. "aggressiveness" is not a quantifiable property. There are many ways to answer this question, canopy shape and performance are complicated subjects I will never grasp. But in general there is a trade off between stability and maneuverability in canopy design. The more tapered the shape of the canopy, sometimes incorrectly called elliptical, the easier it will be able to turn. Meaning it will be less stable, but more maneuverable. You can start with that nugget. There is tons more.
  12. Some lowlife asshole. Came out of his shithole mouth. Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
  13. Is it any real surprise? He might seem like a breath of fresh air compared to the last one but at the end of the day, you don't get to be Chief of a backwards, reactionary, mysoginistic, totalitarian institution governed by a 1500 year old byzantine bureaucracy without accepting many of those traits. No, not a surprise. The only really surprising this is that he was able to more or less hide his nature from public view for so long. He is a Jesuit, they are generally very disciplined men. Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
  14. He had a nice run of making the church appear to be a little more respectable. But now he's decided enough is enough. It's time to blame the victims. Like people in power always try to do. http://time.com/5109212/pope-francis-sexual-abuse-chile-barros-karadima/?xid=homepage Just another damned priest. Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
  15. You owe your children responsible parenting. You are not required to organize your entire life around meeting their wants and amusing them. Many recreational skydivers are parents. Lighten up a little.
  16. The text says to position the knot within the seal. Same as you, and I were taught.
  17. Many DZs with access to smaller female TIs will ask them to take heavier people for that reason. It almost always comes with a higher fee to the student and that extra usually goes to the TI. If you are up to it it can be a good way to make more money. For you it would be a terrible idea.
  18. I dunno, I'm pretty sure there have been reports of chunks of frozen human waste falling out of the sky in the past. These planes fly as high as 41K feet or so. Maybe they changed that practice. There are reports of Yeti too Billy!
  19. I probably shouldn’t rehash the whole thing that I had with them at the time. But as you note, they are much more responsive to someone who is an insider in the industry like you. Your experience with your friend is not the same as an average customer gets.
  20. It’s good that they were able and willing to help you. They pretty much lost me with their “it’s just a button push” campaign. Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
  21. Which of these products do you consider to be "utter bullshit"? It's good for you that there is a device available that meets your standards. Other people have other standards. All of the currently available devices have had problems, but mostly have been proven to do their job well.
  22. That's what I thought as well. But they decided to just discontinue shipping them. It's probably just as well. Opening them up, changing the battery, then properly reapplying silicon to the o ring leaves a fair amount of room for someone to make an error.
  23. That would definately be one that springs to mind and one which was investigated by a UK coroner who also questioned the business ethics of Airtec for not disclosing the problem as soon as it became known. I know nothing of this incident. But I do know that Airtec releases absolutley no information that they do not have to. Not ever. They are a complete black box and they have a level of arrogance that is astounding.
  24. Until recently the battery was field replaceable. But within the last year regulations for shipping lithium ion batteries of the type they use have changed and they are no longer legal to ship by air in the USA. At that time they decided that the best course of action was to have them changed in DeLand. I'm not sure how they handle it in Europe.
  25. Because of "tea party caucus", same reason the R party is going to be decimated in November. Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
