  1. Which nicely sets up the next phase in the drama. A lengthy court battle over whether or not he can be subpoenaed. That should keep the whole thing alive well after the mid-terms. Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
  2. Of course he would lie under oath. He is completely incapable of telling or even recognizing the truth. That's a big part of what makes him a dotard. Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
  3. That would mostly leave the laws up to the states wouldn't it? In any case I would start with restricting the types of weapons available and a buy back program. Strong controls on carrying, and large magazines. Strong laws on proper locked storage, and keeping ammo stored separately. You can not undo instantly what took decades to be done. But that is not an excuse for just carrying on. And of course the 2nd is yours to keep. So my answer only applies to the hypothetical situation you asked about. Don't start in on me about how it could never work. I know that. Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
  4. What's that old saying about fire and fury? This memo talk is only an attempt at distraction. Much ado about nothing. If there was anything that the Trumpeters could use it would have leaked out long ago. If and when it does come out it will have some bullshit innuendo that will be disproved in about 5 minutes. Nunes is the guy who had to step aside from the investigation basically because his relationship to the truth is almost as tenuous as Trump's. Remember? Once again, keep your eye on the ball. When is Mueller going to "interview" the Dotard under oath? The end game is getting closer. Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
  5. This is a long time point of contention. The current trend is toward higher activation altitudes. The three major brands have slightly different defaults. CYPRES 750 ft Vigil 840 ft M2 885 ft These are the altitudes that older units are set for. DZ offsets are available for all three. But using that to raise activation altitude raises other possible issues. The Vigil uses the altitude correction function both for raising activation altitude of for DZ offset. The other two see this a separate function. The good news is that all three have newer units with new software that allows the user to raise the activation altitude. Many people are choosing 1000 ft. However, they are also raising their minimum opening altitude. This is the main reason USPA and now CSPA have raised their allowable opening height to 2500 ft. The downside is a greater chance of a two out situation. Or the end user changing settings and not really understanding all the implications. With increased control over the device people should be increasing their knowledge as well. But people are people.
  6. It is traditional and common to use sarcasm in this forum. The comments are not at the expense of the dead children and you know that. The reason he feels no one cares is that no one is willing to make any changes to help prevent more incidents. If leaders care why don't they do something? Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
  7. Thank you. This is the relevant part of that incident quoted.
  8. Really? What kind of canopies? I have occasionally seen this in the past. But not for awhile. But then again I only see a few new mains a year.
  9. A recent thread in the incidents forum leads me to wonder. Have you ever known of anyone landing unconscious, or otherwise unable to control a reserve parachute upon landing? Did they survive and how badly were they hurt? My feeling is that the survival rate in this circumstance is going to be pretty low. It's not a common occurrence and likely most times it happens is with someone who may already be dead. If you have any examples please include canopy type and size along with wing loading if you have any of this information. Personally, I once landed a 5 cell Swift 177 at about 200 lbs exit weight in line twists so no flare and no control. I landed on the concrete tarmac and broke one heel. Almost no forward speed in this example. I was fully conscious, I just did not have enough time to clear the twists.
  10. I hate hairless cats. An example of unethical genetic manipulation. Perfect pet for an evil genius. But not for a stable genius. Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
  11. Now that made me LOL. I'm picturing the vast political machine controlled by the evil man who has "Von" in his name. Sitting behind the screen. With a long haired cat in his lap. Twisted evil grin, plotting how to drive all the South Dakota coal plant workers bankrupt. Go Bill go! Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. 12. Story about why we really don't pay that much attention anymore. http://time.com/5116457/kentucky-marshall-county-shooting-desensitization/?xid=homepage Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.

  14. The only thing we all have in common is that we will all die. Then God will decide which of us will sit with him and which will be tortured for eternity. But mass shootings usually have more injured victims than dead ones. Their torture starts right away. No waiting for God to call them. You're welcome. I hope I didn't ruin your day. 15. Microlines (Spectra lines) shrink over time, so the excess is used over time. . One more time in an attempt to clear up the misconception that does not seem to want to go away here. On main canopies the manufacturer DOES NOT determine how long the total brake lines will be. It is up to the end user working with the rigger doing the installation to decide what length works best. In most cases the best thing to do is to install them long. After some test flights you can determine how much to shorten them. All the s-fires I've seen and jumped shipped with Vectran kines. Fewer people are choosing Spectra these days for most canopies. Line shrinkage is not a factor here.
  16. Just as schools have sprinkler systems and fire extinguishers for fire safety they should also have weapons mounted on the walls of every classroom and hallway for easy emergency access when needed. Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
  17. Main canopies come with unfinished brake lines so the user can have them set to the length that works best got them. Demo canopies usually have them set long because its easier to compensate for long lines than short ones.
  18. For crying out loud. It doesn’t matter a whit if a memo exist or what it says. The investigation is into the Trump campaign. What do you think? Maybe he can get off on a technicality? Keep your eyes on the ball. Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
  19. Cue royreader Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
  20. Yup. Your R party managed to ram that through in 2006. It was and is largely seen as a divisive and racist act. It also got 9 D votes in the Senate. No shortage of cowards there. They probably saw nothing to gain by voting against the frightened majority white population. Edit. I’ve got some time to kill. Turns out that Senate Bill never did become law. Some water down version did get passed. But Ron is incorrect, America doesn’t have an official language law. Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. 21. Trump is a master at leaving himself wiggle room. I don't try to judge what is in his mind. Or anyone else's. I go firstly by a person's actions and secondly by a person's words. On that basis it is clear to me that Trump is a rascist. Yes, he likes to have Jews to count his money. And Hispanics to clean up behind him. But it is clear that be places a certain higher value on white people. And that he wants to institute a policy in the immigration system that reflects those values. Racism is as racism does. I'm leaving AZ soon and driving back to MB. Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
  22. It's starting to sound like the WH chief of staff is playing a large role in holding out for a deal Ds can't support. Ryan and McConnell seem to be a little powerless and fearful without any real leadership from the POTUS. Something will give sooner or later. But not till one side or the other decides the cost to themselves is becoming too great. Part of the problem is that there are not two sides. There are many sides. All frightened to anger the portion of the population that they depend on. I must tell you, it's fascinating to watch as an outsider. (Even though I've been in Eloy for the past 10 days) Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
  23. Yes, maybe you're right Wendy. Many people don't see racism for what it is. White nationalist don't consider themselves to be racist at all. They just want a separate "homeland" with no brown people (except maybe servants with no citizenship). But don't call them racists, that's insulting. The truth is, we all have a preference for people who are more like ourselves. We are all racist. It's what we do with that and how we treat others that matters. Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
  24. Ron, your innate capacity for hate is showing again. This is a discussion about the dotard’s desire to stop legal immigration from non white shitholes. Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
  25. You seem to be willing to give Trump the benefit of the doubt about if he is racist or not. I don't really understand where there is any doubt. He has a very long history of racism going back many years to his youth. He courted and supported white nationalists during his run for office. The man leaves little room for error in interpreting his actions and words. I hope you had a good sleep. I'll be turning in soon as well. Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
