People fucked with me before my first tandem and I thought it was funny. If anything, it made me more relaxed. Then again, I'm not a hyper sensitive pussy.

How many jumps for skydiving respect?
hexadecimal replied to llkenziell's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Once again an anonomous poster of unknown experience and skills expounding upon who he respects. Really, Mr. Decimal, do you think anyone gives a shit who you respect ? Most of the people you speak of couldn't care less whether you exist or not. What makes you think they would be interested in teaching you anything. You think they desire your respect ? Hardly. Kevin Keenan For someone who doesn't care what I think, you sure seem upset about what I think -
How many jumps for skydiving respect?
hexadecimal replied to llkenziell's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
No, jump numbers aren't where my loyalties lie, skills are. I've yet to meet someone who does 50 jumps a year who has any skills worth learning, regardless of the amount of time they've spent in the sport. -
How many jumps for skydiving respect?

That's not true. There are plenty of un-crusty old men who are active, very current skydivers, and have been for 20+ years. Those guys have my respect, and those are the guys who I owe thanks for my ability to jump today. -
How many jumps for skydiving respect?

WTF is wrong with jumping with someone who makes 50 jumps a year for twenty years? That is one jump every weekend for twenty fucking years! Are you afraid you might learn something? I learn plenty from people with a lot more actual skydiving experience over shorter periods of time. I don't learn anything from crusty old men who make fewer jumps per year than I make per month. -

I'd jump with a new, 1 month off student status, 50 jump wonder before jumping with someone who has ~1,000 jumps spread over 20 years any day of the week. -

It takes exactly 73 jumps. -
Judging by the amount of time you appear to spend on this message board, it would seem that you care.

Damn... Ruth's Chris is about the most expensive place you can eat at... Not uncommon for a dinner for two to top $100 easy. I take it you've never been to Morton's? Or any one of about 500 other places out there where dinner for two tops $100?

Freeflying using a 288 Manta?
hexadecimal replied to Kynan1's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
There are dropzones out there that have smaller student canopies than that (which they only use for students who prove they're ready for them)... and a lower number of student injuries than most dropzones using big ass dinosaurs from the early 90s. It all comes down to the quality of the instruction received by the students. -
Freeflying using a 288 Manta?
hexadecimal replied to Kynan1's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
This is also one of the reasons we use them and skymasters. ...because you want to teach your students that canopies don't stall? What happens when they find out the truth at 20 feet or so on the canopy they go to after they get off student status? -

Probability Risk of Skydiving vs. Driving a Car
hexadecimal replied to Hazarrd's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
What's with this obsession you people have with comparing the risks of skydiving and driving a car? Get over it. -
