That's funny, since if Kerry gets elected, he'll have the same TFR. You might say "no he won't" but very VERY rare is it a president has any say in his personal security. Next time instead of lobbing hateful comments, open your eyes and understand the picture as a whole, it'll keep comments that have no bearing from being posted. I don't like Kerry either. We're screwed either way this coming election. Doesn't matter though, I'll stop talking politics now

Why waste money on skydiving gear when you can have this??

I apologize for wasting your time... I should have put "intended only for those with a sense of humor" in the title. No need to apologize for wasting my time. I was joking too. Just ask any one about my sense of humor. ...and I of all people should have picked up on that seeing as how nobody can ever tell when I'm being sarcastic. Sorry -

No bungee jumping for me... I really don't see the point.

I've only had about 5 dreams over the past year that I've remembered after waking up... and 3 of them have been skydiving related and happened over the past 4 weeks (which is odd considering I've only jumped twice - both tandem). The first one was extremely strange... I was BASE jumping for some reason with some friends who I know would never even consider jumping tandem. These friends were the "pros" in my dream. I pulled my main and for some reason it was open but didn't work. I stood up and walked away after hitting the ground. The next was about my first AFP jump (which I've been running through my head constantly). I was watching myself from an outside view, and for some reason I was allowed to jump with just a camera man and nobody holding me. The camera man gave me a signal to check my altimiter, I checked and saw 5,000ft and decided to pull high. I tried pulling but my arms were stuck in front of me for some reason, as if the wind was coming from behind. Eventually the AAD kicked in and my reserve deployed. The last one happened yesterday night and was definitely the strangest of the three. Started out with one of the same people from the BASE dream, and for some reason we made a split second decision to get married - but somehow our families already knew about it and were already waiting in the chapel. After the wedding I phased into another dream about my first AFP jump, only she (my "wife") was my instructor. For some reason I wasn't wearing a rig during freefall and she handed one to me and told me to put it on after I noticed that my altimiter was reading 6k

One more reason to hate him

In Chicago, we consider the lower 60s warm

HA! I thought my uncle made that up on his own... he had me running around with a paper bag and flashlight for at least a couple hours when I was a kid with that one

Huh? Man, you should really stop lying... I don't even know you

What makes a good tandem student?
hexadecimal replied to Spudmuffin's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Your next tandem will probably be better... I just made my second jump Sunday and was much more capable of thinking during freefall. The rush was overwhelming on my first jump and when I thought my instructor had told me to check my altitude and find the handle again, he was actually telling me to pull. I checked my altitude every 5 seconds, located the handle several times, and pulled @ 5500ft yesterday. I initially had my doubts when I pulled (my vision got a bit blurred and I was having trouble reading the altimiter - I thought I may have pulled too high), though those doubts went away once the chute opened fully and I saw that I was pretty much right on target when I checked my altimiter again. -
Thanks for the welcome everyone

This guy is a joke... always goes around on different forums with photoshopped pictures of himself doing things he didn't really do. Find something better to do with your time, "Seneca" - if that is your real name...

Newbie question - What does "hook in" mean?
-
Newbie here... Just made my first jump on Sunday @ Skydive Chicago - what a rush. I'm jumping tandem again either this weekend or next weekend, weather permitting, and plan to go through the AFP next spring.
