  1. Radiohead and Kraftwerk were there last year... and I missed it :(
  2. Christian extremists are FUN! Especially when they make up the majority of the country you live in!
  3. Have fun... I played for 10 years (8 of those on a travel team) and stopped playing about 5 years ago... About 2 years ago I was invited to play with a few of my old teammates. I was surprisingly still pretty competitive among a lot of people who still played regularly, but I was only able to handle 2 or 3 shifts before being completely exhausted and in need of a beer
  4. Question for those of you who have been through flight school... Are there bail out rigs for instructor and student? Maybe that's a stupid question... but I just figure since some of the things you do during school are potentially dangerous, it might be a good idea. I only ask because I'm planning to start taking lessons this year.
  5. Why do you need all that? You obviously have a computer since you're posting on this message board... and you did say that all you would have to do is fuck around on a computer for a few seconds to make a track, didn't you?
  6. If anyone is at all interested, you can go listen to a track that myself and a friend (who is also on this board... though I'm not sure if he reads it at all anymore) produced last year. It's a bit far from my usual style (I produce IDM, electro, and some other things... this track is more house/trancy type stuff). Here's a link to the track. http://www.djseneca.com/sixthgear_80w.m3u Note: track is in "DJ friendly" format, so you might have to fast forward a bit through the mix friendly intro, and the end is long for the same reason.
  7. If it's so easy, I challenge you to produce a track. Also... if you think of it like that, you've obviously been listening to some pretty shitty electronic music to draw your conclusion from. I don't like certain genres of music either, but I can still differentiate between tracks that require talent and tracks that do not. Even if you just don't like electronic music, you'd have to be pretty ignorant to make a comment like you just made about it.
  8. Those are classics? Try Kraftwerk, Orbital, Hawtin, etc... for the classics
  9. I'd say this person deserves to be called out and named. I'm pretty new to the board so I'm not familiar with who this may be.
  10. Sandra Bullock had a press release as well. My guess would be that it encourages others sports figures as well as fans to donate.
  11. Here's something from another site: "Michael Schumacher is to donate $10m to the relief efforts in Asia. The World Champion says that the effects of the Boxing Day tsunami are "horrible" and has promised to give the money, which represents about 10% of his annual income, to UNICEF. Schumacher has been a substantial donor to charities for the last eight years notably with UNESCO and UNICEF including funding a school in Dakar (Senegal), a clinic in Sarajevo and a centre for street children in Lima, peru. He has also been involved in work in his role as a UNICEF ambassador."
  12. Donate about 6% of what you expect to make this year (and that's based on the high end $80M + $90M) to tsunami relief, and then donate more to other charities if you want to talk shit about Michael's very generous donation.

  14. I said yes, but I have a hard top for my car which will stay on pretty much all year around because I hate the way the soft top looks.
  15. I wouldn't do it after seeing how poorly my dad's Sevilles have held up through the years. Oil leaks are a common problem with these cars, and expensive to fix. You'd probably be better off spending that same $5500 on a Honda or something else less flashy but more reliable.
  16. haha... I tried layering gloves a couple weeks ago when it was somewhere around 15 degrees out at night. Stopping every 10-15 minutes to warm my hands in my pockets with the heat packs seemed to work a lot better as I just ended up stopping and taking off the layers of gloves every 5 minutes to warm my hands with the engine heat anyway This winter is making me seriously start to consider putting heated grips on my bike... which is something I never thought I'd do.
  17. I've had the same problem all winter... haven't been able to find anything that keeps my fingers warm. I've resorted to keeping a couple of those heat packs in the pockets of my jacket and stopping every 10 miles or so to warm my hands up when the pain from the cold gets to be too much.
  18. Sorry... didn't see that there was one. Thanks for the input everyone... Looks like I'll definitely be planning on getting some time in the tunnel before my AFP next year
  19. Ahh... that sucks Thanks for straightening me out on that though.
  20. I'm going to be in Las Vegas for 3 days in January and Miami for 5 days in February... I know there's a tunnel in Vegas, and I think I remember reading that there was one near Miami (correct me if I'm wrong...). I just figured it wouldn't be worth doing the one jump I might be able to squeeze in while in Vegas and/or Miami since it would be another 3-4 months before my next jump anyway.
