  1. Nice Congrats on the big 6K Laszlo! Action©Sports
  2. Just use a hot knife and be done with it. Action©Sports
  3. Happened to me too - lost over $4,500 worth of shit since it vanished in to a swamp, never to be seen again. I made my own set-up to secure the helmet to my head while still having the ability to cut it way. I'd hate to have that happen again Action©Sports
  4. That's a sweet shot. Very cool! Action©Sports
  5. I have one and it's not very good. I usually mount it on my motorycle when I'm on the track just for shits and giggles but both the picture and sound quality are crap. Action©Sports
  6. Nikon has a 1.5 crop factor but the 10.5 is a DX lens made specifically for digital, so it is a true 180 degree fisheye. I was looking at the 10-20 and the 12-24 but they're a bit big for skydiving. Action©Sports
  7. Good call he he. Action©Sports
  8. I use to live over in Sweden - it's almost as expensive as Norway lol. What happens when you buy an item like that from the U.S and have it shipped back home? Don't you have to pay something like 25% in sales tax/VAT once it arrives in Norway? Action©Sports
  9. That's because both B&H and Adorama are owned and operated by Hasidic Jews. They're always closed over religious holidays. But their service has always been very good and reliable. I rarely buy from anyone else Action©Sports
  10. I stick with B&H or Adorama These are probably the most reputable big equipment dealers on the net. If you find something that sounds too good to be true, it is. There are tons of scam artists sites selling photo gear on the net so be careful. You can also check out a sites ratings at Resellerratings Action©Sports
  11. Wow, very nice. The shot "thomas500th-Kopie.jpg " could be a contest winner. Love the upper clouds in that one - they really make the shot come alive. Sweet shot... Action©Sports
  12. Yep. MsGlock hooked me up for my b-day! Action©Sports
  13. I like the shot from above. Kinda makes the earth look like a globe. It's a fisheye after all - not really meant to be used on every skydive. But they do have a lot of other uses besides skydiving. Landscapes, buildings, inside tight spaces like automobiles. Very handy lens to have in your camera bag..... Action©Sports
  14. The website looks great, Kim. Congrats to both of you! Action©Sports
  15. Just got one as a gift the other day. I haven't had a chance to skydive with it yet but, it is one awesome little lens. Took some pictures of the pooch in the back yard. Pudgy She's a fun little dog but she hates to be photographed. She either looks away, walks away, or she lays down and gives me the shark eye like this lol Shark Eye I used my Sigma 15mm a lot for tandems before I switched to Nikon. It'll be fun to see how the skydiving shots turn out with this thing especially since you can "un-fishify" the pictures using Nikon Capture software Action©Sports
  16. It may just be the way it's mounted on your goggles. I'd opt to mount it above my eye so I can look below it while swooping. I have my ring sight mounted like that and it doesn't come in to play at all when I swoop. Cool set-up in any case... Action©Sports
  17. Looks interesting but that big ass display blocking the view is just too much of a risk. Especially when jumping high performance canopies. Action©Sports
  18. I asked my State Farm agent if they'd cover it if it my gear was stolen or even if it just came off my head in freefall and she said yes......I never mentioned that I use it for business purposes though.... Action©Sports
  19. Only if he gets caught. I don't care HOW hot that bike is... you ain't out-running Motorola. Really? I guess that'll just have be your little secret. Unless Mr. Motorola is flying a helicopter and the guy he's chasing is a complete noob, his chances are slim to none..... Action©Sports
  20. All this new law is going to accomplish is to increase the number of high speed chases, period. Much like someone already said, if I already know I'm going to the slammer and my $20,000 Ducati is going on the auction block, there is no way in hell I'm pulling over. Reckless Driving is way too subjective.... I was given a reckless op ticket going 45 in a 65. Heavy traffic, some dumb bitch yakkin on the cell phone moved in to my lane and pushed me out in the median. A cop sitting way up the highway (directly in front of a semi no less) claimed she saw me pass the bitch in the median. All I did was move out of the way so I didn't get run over. I got it dismissed, but, would I have been able to get it dismissed if the court knew it could make an easy $20,000 by selling my bike??? I highly doubt it. I don't understand how this law can be constitutional to begin with considering that the punishment will be different for each individual. One guy gets busted and it costs him a $14.00 1973 Pinto while another gets busted for the exact same thing but it costs him a $200,000 Bentley......... Action©Sports
  21. I use a jacket with c-wings and freefly pants for the most part. Unless it's really hot - then I just wear the jacket with a pair of shorts. I had a camera suit with booties once but cut the fucking things off after a while. All that drag on your feet makes it really hard to get steep for tandem videos. They help give some forward drive on exit but, if you know how to time your exits, you really won't need them. Action©Sports
  22. Not if you're shooting in Aperture Priority. If you push the exposure one stop, it'll use a slower shutter speed to compensate. If you shoot in Shutter Priority and push the exposure one stop, it'll use a larger Aperture (smaller F number) Action©Sports
  23. Not the ones from Best Buy....I think they use ESP Action©Sports
  24. lol. That reminds me of when I went to Best Buy to pick up a cordless phone. I asked the guy if this particular 2.8Ghz phone would interfere with my wireless network. He said "No. Absolutely not. A telephone is a receiver only; it doesn't transmit any signals so it can't interfere with your network" What a complete knob. Action©Sports
