Thanks. There's a reason that guy on the TT was in the ditch . He was practicing for the "Classic" race the following day but was having a hard time getting out of the way of the big bores he he he... Action©Sports

    Motorcycles...

I ride a lot on the street but I take every opportunity I can get to ride on the track. I didn't have time to get my racing license this year but I'm planning on turning my 1000RR in to a track only bike and racing next year. The street is fun but it in no way compares to the track... 6. The Sigma 15mm is always a good buy for skydiving. With the crop factor it's the equivalent of a standard 24mm lens and it's very crisp and clear. It runs around 5 bills and it's worth every penny. Action©Sports
  7. Nope, it's a different camera all together. The ATK2 doesn't work very well at all. The ELMO cam is much better but version but it costs about thousand bucks... Action©Sports
  8. I have one that I mount on my bike during track sessions. The quality is shitty at best - both audio and video. And it's pretty sensitive to vibrations. It stays on during the warm up laps but once the tires get warm and the rpm's climb above 10K it shuts off. It's alright for what it is - a cheap video camera. I don't really want to strap a $1500 video camera on my bike in case of a crash so for that, it works kind of ok. Don't think it would be very good for skydiving at all. Action©Sports
  9. Never had a Voodoo but I have had a Headhunter helmet before and it was a total p.o.s. I think it cracked the second day I had it and the visor began to crack in less than a week. Ended up throwing it in the trash after about 3 months. Pretty disappointing after waiting nearly 4 months to get it..... Action©Sports
  10. Get the 580. Every time I've picked up a less powerful version of a flash to save some bucks, I came to regret it as soon as I mounted it on my camera helmet. If you're planning on using it for skydiving you'll need the more powerful output. Spend the extra bucks now, or spend even more later.... Action©Sports
  11. Sounds like a trip. I'd love to try it - just never created the opportunity for myself.... Action©Sports

    Canon 40D

On my D200 you just hold down a button when you power on the camera and a new folder is created. I think Canon might have a similar feature but I'm not sure...I found this in a Canon 40D review, might be worth looking in to.... • Folders: Automatically created for image storage; new folder can be user-created with “Manual Reset” function; folders cannot be freely selected on memory card by the photographer Action©Sports
  13. I sold my Sigma 15mm when I sold my old camera gear but, I took thousands of pictures with it and it's an excellent lens for skydiving. It wasn't as much fun when I switched to digital because of the crop factor - turns out to be the equivalent of a 24mm. Go fixed (prime) if you can afford it. Since you shoot Canon, go with Canon lenses if they offer what you're looking for and if you can afford it. The Sigma 15mm has been a popular choice for skydiving for many years though. It's nice piece of glass.... Action©Sports
  14. I've never had a problem giving away a few shots to the TM's if they ask. That kind of stuff works both ways - I give them a few free pictures (sometimes I'll even film a jump for free if it's one of their friends) every now and then and they hook me up when I have a buddy who wants to do a tandem. 17. I'm not sure on the D40x. From what I understand, it uses an infrared wireless remote where the D200 can use the standard 10 pin remote release cable. That might be a bit more tricky to wire up. I'm sure it can be done but you might void the warranty on your camera. Action©Sports

  24. Thanks! I'm planning on getting together with some old friends in Eloy soon so I thought a few balloon jumps would be a good time and of course, they're always a good photo op. Can't wait until my 10.5mm Fisheye gets here! And I need to get my flash set-up squared away before I go. I really like they way you have yours mounted on the side like that. I haven't decided how I'm gonna mount mine yet though... Nice vid, Doc! Saw your feet in there a few times too.... Better be careful or people are gonna mistake your videos for mine Action©Sports
