Was wondering if there has ever been a design where the brake line connected cells were split from the rest of the cells, on the trailing edge..... Something like an aileron on a plane wing, where the rest of the trailing edge would remain straight, and only the "control surface" would change during input. I did not see the vid. DO you dive or do you face the prop? The pac has a fairly large door.....Facing the prop, you are basically in an arch as you exit.... Anyways, I find it very important to be able to exit stable and deploy fairly quickly. I have had to bail out at 1800 due to engine failure. Experiment to try. Next time you jump, take a Plastic bottle with, fill it 1/4 with coloured water. Fall as stable as possible, holding the bottle upright. Will the fluid be in the middle of the bottle(Floating in Zero G), the bottom, or the top? If it went to the top, you are still accelerating, faster than the water. Same issue my side. I do with a loose long sleeve shirt, does help. Then I also pull the belly in, or in other words, push the bum out. A couple of my own goodies: Jumping out first at 13k, and opening immedietely. Seeing the rest of the load fall is hectic, but a good reminder of how fast you really fall. On one such jump, I had an eagle come fly right next to me, inspired me to start hang gliding. Radical turns on smaller eliptical canopies, what a rush. High speed front riser turns. (No swooping for me though) Cross country with them big student canopies when the wind is pumping, and trying to land that beast. Flying next to your friends..
