  1. WOW! What a story. I was not only touched by your courage, but your skill with the English language. Your prose is powerful stuff. I hope you are in the middle of writing a novel. Glad that you're almost OK. Vibes to you. Plenty of time to heal. ---> One Half of Almost Nearly Normal
  2. I think you should just bypass the PC and go for Mac. If you're doing video editing or other graphics, Apple computers have raw speed in a comfortable, intuitive atmosphere. It might cost a bit more, but so worth it (IMOHO). ---> One Half of Almost Nearly Normal
  3. There is definitely a lot of love on this thread. More hugs...all around. ---> One Half of Almost Nearly Normal
  4. LMAO...ROTF......Do I get to choose the flavor? Key lime would be great for the month of June. ---> One Half of Almost Nearly Normal
  5. I stand corrected....Now pass me some of that American Pie. ---> One Half of Almost Nearly Normal
  6. Yeah. There's lots of love in thread, too. ---> One Half of Almost Nearly Normal
  7. I've never met one to hate one. (Mine is more Friday than anything else.) But I do tend to get along well with my lesbian in box highlighter. You? ---> One Half of Almost Nearly Normal
  8. Here's a BIG hug. But now, this is only going to make my personal pixie jealous. So here's another BIG hug for Betsy. I feel a lot of love in this forum. ---> One Half of Almost Nearly Normal
  9. Leave it to my own personal Pixie to have the info that I am after. Thanks BB. ---> One Half of Almost Nearly Normal
  10. I am hoping to get some advice from all you guys with Pro Ratings. I want to know what it costs to do a stadium demo with 8 to 20 skydivers. What kinds of costs would I be looking at for things like: >> Plane rental with fuel and pilot >> Compensation for each jumper >> Insurance >> Permit fees >> Other This event is not yet in the works, so I don't have any places or dates. I just need some general, real-world guidelines from the people who know best. Any help (or future volunteers) is appreciated. ---> One Half of Almost Nearly Normal
  11. Just remember this little law of physics: For every action, there is and and equal and opposite reaction. Applying this principle to politics makes a lot of "mud." Hmmm. ---> One Half of Almost Nearly Normal
  12. You guys are too much! Thanks for the warm fuzzies. Before I go to Nationals, I still have a lot of work to do, like polishing moves, learning others, creating some interesting routines... Lots of work, but FUN work. Still need a video teammate too. I'm looking forward to this next year - lots of cool stuff ahead! ---> One Half of Almost Nearly Normal
  13. Some suggestions: Time to pick up a few good books or get some practice on your X-box. Do what your doctors tell you to do. Get whatever exercise you can, both physically and mentally. Try to exceed your physical therapy goals. Learn a new language. Drink lots of water. ...And hang in there. The planes will be ready when you are. ---> One Half of Almost Nearly Normal
  14. I think it's going to take me at least 8 jumps to get that layout-back-loop-layout-back-loop-with-full-twist-layout-back-loop combo I've been trying to learn. Hmmm. Will it happen? I feel a breakthrough coming. ---> One Half of Almost Nearly Normal

    Coffee

I can't pass this one up since my family owns and operates a coffee farm in Hawaii. We all like darkly roasted Kona coffee - the kind of roast that brings out the oils and sweetness found naturally in the bean. Grind this finely and run through an espresso maker. Add a little heavy cream and you will have the best f*ing cup o' Joe possible. The only thing better would be to sip it in freefall. (BTW: Flavored coffee is cr*p, and is a really good sign that it was made from inferior beans.) Enjoy your coffee and remember: Coffee is the most important food group. It can be found at both the top and the bottom of the food pyramid. ---> One Half of Almost Nearly Normal
  16. OUCH! Busted. Does it hurt when you bounce in cyberspace? Well. I don't actually live in a cave, but some people say I act like it. Maybe it's because I'm not tuned in to the main stream. Anyway, I hope this competition situation gets resolved. Any idea when the big decision might be made? ---> One Half of Almost Nearly Normal
  17. I can't wait to show this to my boss. Do you think he'll fire the webmaster? Or will he just have an anurism? ---> One Half of Almost Nearly Normal

    Caption?

I'M the alpha dog, bitch. Now roll over! ---> One Half of Almost Nearly Normal
  19. Let's hope there were no kittens harmed during the creation of this thread. Otherwise there might be some icky keyboards. Eeew. A three-letter word. Also something that's good after a great day of skydiving. ---> One Half of Almost Nearly Normal
  20. This sounds reasonable. But would the governing board be looking at just freestyle competitors or would they include other disciplines too, like RW, freefly, etc.? In this case, Missy goes. I would love to see it happen ('cause she's talented and fun), but a lot of issues are brought to the surface about the existing rules. (Is there a rule of procedure regarding this type of situation? -- Again, I'm troglodytic. That's why I ask so many questions.) ---> One Half of Almost Nearly Normal
  21. Looking for unusual plant species being propagated in your back yard. ---> One Half of Almost Nearly Normal
  22. Yeah. Video would be really cool! And sharing is caring. Hope all goes well. Wear clean underwear. ---> One Half of Almost Nearly Normal
  23. There's just one more thing: Has anyone noticed how GWB pronounces nuclear? ---> One Half of Almost Nearly Normal
  24. Looks like you have loads of support! Quick questions (because I live in a cave) : Have any of the previous several years of Nationals winners been contacted and do they support this effort? Do any of them want to fill that slot? Also, how do the teams in the other disciplines feel about this? How do the other competing freestyle teams feel? As long as there are no conflicts, the US Team deserves to be well represented. ---> One Half of Almost Nearly Normal
  25. The cold has been about 0-20 degrees at altitude, with a ground high of probably around 50 to 60. The gusts yesterday were 15 to 20, but today very low. I think tomorrow will be brisk but perfect. Have a safe trip to Eloy. Hope to meet up with you. Look for the guy in yellow. ---> One Half of Almost Nearly Normal
