    Going BIG

id say good idea. im 62kg (140lbs) and i have a dagger 222 and BlackJack 265 weein for big stuff, big one for wee hucks.
  3. well, the big idea is usualy to flyinto the cliff, and let the bounce you get when you hit the object to help you fly away from it backwards.
  4. I think that a conspiracy charge could be placed fairly easily. but thats just me.
  5. we are a free country unless we are doing something that can make anyone else, any single person, either jealous, mad, or hesitate, or be displaced. -SPACE-
  6. WHAT? I visit parks regularly, i had never been to one until i was 17, and im not even 23 yet!
  7. thats good news. I think. who applied for the BC permits? PM me or post please.
  8. i changed it already. but it was a good 4 days of dirty old lady viewing
  9. I didnt want to read all the replies, just the first. but im bored and wil explain. this all depends on the tunnel, recirculating tunnels you would probably be fine, air is really heavy, and it has a lot of inertia, so if the motors stopped generating airspeed through the fan and tunnels, the air would still have a lot of inertia, and would take a few seconds to slow and stop. i would say about 10 seconds. plenty of time for one to come back down to the net. on a non-recurculatinf tunnel, there is still inertia, but not near as much. i would bet that there would still be enough air moving time to be lowered safely back to the net, at east at a non-injury causeing speed.

    Twin Falls Law

god doesnt like a lot of the things we like to do, but this is something for bonfire. but i got banned from there. Im going to hell, about 300 times.
  11. hey man, i got dropped on my head. a lot.
  12. this would be pretty easy, all we need to do is find out how fast we hit the water at a 'safe' cliff jump feet first impact, im guessing is about 80 feet per second (with enema protection). and then we need to skydive with progressivly larger drouge chutes, to measure the speed at whatever weight, then try it off potato. how deep is that water at deepest point spring season? i mean, ill try it.
  13. i have some jumping freinds out here in CO, and the first time the crew went out to our 2000' A, as we were gearing up, this kid spilled out that he was slider down. we all made a fuss until we were at 1200', and he was just passing 200'. slow fucker. we did a 2 way, but he was at 400, me at 1800.
  14. wow, i did 1800' in 53 minutes back before i was injured and in shape. but hey, i got all you hosers beat cause it was at 4500' MSL to 6300'. our A out here is a 2000' ladder climb. yeah CO!
  15. dude, before i even skydived i had a plan to bring my inflateble 17meter kite out to powell on our yearly trips, and fly it with short lines off the talles cliff i could find. now i understand how bad an idea that is, for reasons of physics, aerodynamics, and now i understand it would be illegal. i would not do that. so, i turned to paragliding. its safer
  16. hey man, I am. Im building a 8" reflector. My gf is as well, only she is shapeing the mirror herself. cant look at the sky here man, storms a brewin in CO
  17. Im no aerodymanitologiser, but how do you get those numbers? I would have no idea where to start to caluculate the drag of a round parachute. but, did you just find out the arithmic relative size with the area of the two rounds and speeds?
  18. spinning round? i have not heard of this, does it spin as in around its verticle axis? the other 2 axis' stable? -SPACE-
  19. dude, you have NO idea how much time i have spent dreming about this exact thing. long before i started ROPE or BASE jumping, i had designs for super small 'round' canopies for cliff jumping. i mean, i have cliff jumped 85', and im not a cliff diver. i figured that the water impact was about 45mph. thats pretty fast. a problem with round canopies that small is they orbit pretty fast when loaded high. making the decent faster, and not straight in. (a nonfeet first water impact would suck) i think that it could be done with a well vented round that is about 10' diameter. I REALLY want to try this. you got me started on thinking about this again. bitch! edited to add: OK, i would not want to do this without a harness. that would be stupid. i mean, maybe after testing iwould. but the idea of handheld HARNESS is moronic.
  20. ray. FUCK you. FUCK FUCK. i am going to be scarred to death of the dark from now on. no more A climbing at night. and no more going to visit grandma, nursing homes freak me out now. FUCK you for posting that.

    Is it odd??

A late very good freind of mine would climb towers in ND all the time, she had pics of herself climbing, and rapping from a few 800' As. I taught her how to BASE 2 weeks before she died. she just loved being places where everyone else never went.
