  1. C wing is great. Has versatility. You can also learn to fly in a sit with it. Tony makes pretty good suits. Good luck! Que sera sera
  2. So, what's the verdict??? If anyone has tried out this new little toy, please share your thoughts. Better or equivalent to our old mini DV cassette models? I'm thinking the quality of DVD over cassette must be significant. Well, let us know Que sera sera
  3. Hey, I left you a personal message! Que sera sera

  5. All of us at the DZ are very saddened by this horrific event. The news accounts are correct for the most part. I have spoken to the wife of the jumper that jumped in after him and tried to help. The rig is being inspected and the investigation is underway. The canopy only started to come out as Jason was hitting the water, according to them. In all, shit happens!! There will never be an answer for why him and why now. But as you know, there is risk in everything we do. Jason and I go way back. I remember jumping with this newbie when he first came to our little DZ. He became an excellent skydiver!! With his more than 2,000 jumps he had great skill in both the air and ground. I'm going to miss him. The whole thing is still so incredibly surreal to all of us. His fiance is coping the best she can, but I encourage all to pray for his family during this most difficult time. The DZ will Never be the same especially for the crew at "Safety City". It's always heartbreaking to hear of a death of a fellow jumper, but the pain is insurmountable when it is one of your own. But in all, Jason died doing something he loved. God bless us all and be safe. Cindy Que sera sera
  6. I think injuries are very common to jumpers. whether it be broken bones or scrapes and bruises. It is the nature of the sport. Broken ankle.....w/ hardware Knee problems Back broblems Chronic muscle pains Neck injuries from video And always the pccassional owies from hard landings Be careful everyone!!!!!!!! Que sera sera
  7. I have the new box with my TRV 27. I also had problems with it fitting in nicely. I wound up getting the job done by using a seam ripper to take off the "Sony" handle. I kept the bridle of the handle on the camera and just tied it in a knot if I ever need to use the camera with the handle. If i decide to I can always sew the nice strap back on. But it did solve the problem if the camera fitting in. I have also placed a thin layer of neoprene inside the box so that encloses the enitre camera when it is closed. I think it protects the camera much better from scratches from the box as well as moisture. I do however like the box, even though it may be a teeny bit bulkier. Pull and flare... Que sera sera
  8. Now, hang on just a cotton pickin minute.....I don't think I like your tone young man. I shot some really great video with my previous helmet....this Optik just isn't doing it for me. Maybe I have some adjusting to do, agreed, but I think I pride myself on accepting responsibility for my actions..... Now, with that out of the way....So.......how ya doing, man? Que sera sera
  9. How's the hawkeye working out? I'm not so crazy about this Optik. Maybe I'm used to my old helmet. I just can't seem to ket my vid to shoot where i want it. I'm shooting a little too low, but my neck is craned back all the way it can go. I have tried using a couple of washers and some foam to sit the camera higher inside the box, but doesn't help much. did you have this problems with your Optik? Any advice? Que sera sera
  10. Absolutely, and I hate it. I called and asked if they had any old style cups, but they don't. I wound up buying a cheaper cup from skydance. You can also get an alternative through Pier...I believe skysystems makes it. Regardless, Bonehead has made a lot of changes I'm not happy about. Their new chin cup SUCKS!!!!! Que sera sera
  11. I suppose that the fuss over all this has to be for those who try to actually earn a living at this. For me, I have a full time job outside the DZ and do video on weekends and edit my own jumps during the week. Frankly, I'm grateful to have my slot paid for and to earn a little money while I'm having lots of fun doing it. I really enjoy watchig those first timers come out that door. Regardless, I really can't complain too much for being paid to have fun.
  12. Howdy, does anyone have a preference on a particular guide book for premiere 6.0? There are several different books out there, from the "Classroom in a book" to the "Premiere Bible". Any suggestions on a guide or on learning Premiere? Que sera sera
  13. Has anyone seen the latest ad in Skydiving of the SportsCam setup? Mike Swain developed it. Basically a camera hooked up to a "lipsticl" camera mounted to the helmet via a cable. The camera is tucked away in a pouch that is belly mounted to the harness. Has anyone used one of these getups? I'm curious about the quality. Man it would be nice to save your neck every day. 14. I was being fececious (SP) Kids are just too far ahead of themselves today. If they spent more time at home getting to know their parents, this generation Y of our might not be so bad off. Our young generation is aweful. Has cell phones and technology contributed? Perhaps. Let's hear your feedback. Que sera sera

  22. Hey boobie...Ilike saying that ..... Hey do you still have that aluminum you were going to mount to your helmet? How big is it? I'm thinking I might need it if I cannot find anyone around here who has any. I tell ya, it's tough being in the position when you have no idea about technical stuff...metal fabricators....pieces and parts... I feel like I'm on a damned scavenger hunt. Ley me know, dude. Thanks. Que sera sera
