  1. Is anyone using their FF3 as a work horse for tandems and AFF? Looks like a really sweet helmet I would like to buy. Are there issues with sighting between the video and still? I fly on my back so I think the target will be ok, but I am thrifty these days and wana make considerations before I spend big money. I currently fly an Optik top mount video with stills in front. The weight of a digi camera in front is guna wear me out, so I am opting for side mounting a smaller camera. I can side mount on the Optik, but if I opt for an HC camera (which is longer than a PC) I worry about the lip on the side of the Optik (riser strike) getting in the way of mounting the box. Do you like the fit of the helmet? Is it comfy? Can you think of any issues about the helmet i need to consider before leaping into the purchase? Thanks Que sera sera
  2. I burn in the +R format using the memorex brand. I usually don't have many problems. There is some good information about the different media out there....you know the "get what you pay for" stuff. Read it, it's pretty informative. http://www.videoguys.com/DVDburn.html Whatever you do, though, don't buy from shop4tech online. They have bad service and they media is poor quality. Que sera sera
  3. One is a CRT 17 in, the other is a Samsung LCD, 17 in, but I took the Samsung back and am going to replace it with a Sony. I've read better reviews on the Sony....but 6 of one, half a dozen of the other. When I hit the lottery, maybe I'll replace the CRT. Comparing screens side by side....it really is unbelieveable how much brighter and nicer the LCD looks. Que sera sera
  4. I had to do the same..My buddy fashioned me bracket out of aluminum and it it very sturdy. Looks very much like the picture posted on this thread. In my opinion, if Bonehead is going to sell products that are capable of top mounts, then they should also market a bracket that will be compatible. I had bought a bracket back when they sold them, only to find that the d box was too long for the bracket, so I returned it. You have to be inventive in this sport, or have buddies who are. you never seem to be able to get exactly what you want all the time. Que sera sera
  5. For anyone considereing setting up a two monitor system...EASY. I installed a dual input AGP card and wam bam alacazam. No rummaging around in DOS to disable anything. XP makes it very easy. My mouse easily moves from one screen to the next. So, there you have is sports fans. Get r done. Jump while you can. Winter is coming. Que sera sera
  6. It sounds pretty straight foward, not necessarily rocket science, but I always wind up mucking something up in the long run. I'm not sure what kind of adapters you're talking about, though. Que sera sera
  7. Oh, I'm sure I can figure it out in the long run, particularly if XP makes it easy to do that. Que sera sera
  8. Well, I don't know the speed of the agp slot. Where can I find it? Que sera sera
  9. I do have an agp...which i heard is better. So, the disabling the board card is the difficult project, huh? Que sera sera
  10. I'm buying another monitor and said to myself, "Self, why don't you just hook them up together so you have more real estate". So, here I am justa wondering how to set this system up. I have even stumped my computer tech at work. I have a couple of people looking into it for me. My current card is on the board. So my question is, can I add a pci card without hassle or is it a little more involved. Que sera sera
  11. I think you need to heed the warnings of your fellow jumpers. This is a dangerous sport that should not be taken lightly. Point Blank.....WAIT TO GET A HELMET. Get more experience!! There is no hurry and plenty of time to video later on. But if you must....stay out of the incident reports!!!!! Que sera sera
  12. I have an old alti V. Is there a way I can convert it into a pillow/chest mounted altimeter. I'm not very creative when it comes to these projects. Que sera sera
  13. He's an ass. SEX< SEX< SEX. Get over it. One thing I will say, He's been doing the same thing for years. So why now??? Janet sure has raised the bar. Never did lke the guy. Que sera sera
  14. Nobody mentioned parachute pants. How can you forget parachute pants. What about the leg warmers? The good ole days. I'm not sure if I miss the 80's or not. Que sera sera
