  1. I have a Tony "C" wing jacket and it is great!! The only problem I had was when I ordered extra clips for my second rig, I found that the clips on the jacket were backwards. He Put the male clip on the jacket instead of the female. I had to take them off and sew on the backup pair I ordered. No big deal though. Good luck. Que sera sera
  2. Actually, I did go to the Icarus site today and it turns out that the Para Concepts is the rigging place in Ill that is listed on their site. I called and made inquiry. Que sera sera
  3. Thanks, there's some great stuff at this company. Tie dye these days really is an art. Que sera sera
  4. Direct opposition to the will of the people??? How about the direct opposition to the will of the people when it comes to spending and the decisions he has made about the economy and taxes, etc. Let's face it, politicians are going to do what they want to do....to hell with "the people". Besides this issue should not be a government issue. I'm soooo glad I'm not in politics. Que sera sera
  5. I agree with that one. Bush is so terribly iterested in keeping the Government to a minimum in peoples lives......well, wouldn't ya think this would fall into that category? Live and let live. I can't stand that cocky little smirk on his face. Que sera sera
  6. Howdy, Hey all you arts and craftsy folks. Tell me how to tie die. Is there a book that you can get that has instruction for different designs? I just want to be able to dye with the colors I like, rather than just buy any ole thing. Anyone have any instruction????? Thanks Que sera sera
  7. Hi, Time to get new ones. Where is the best place I can send my Icarus for a line replacement? Does Para Concepts out of Illinois do a pretty nice job? Thanks Que sera sera
  8. When I fist jumped video, I reused my old tandem and aff videos. Now I save it all!!! I have been so lucky when consumers come back and say they need another copy because it got lost or taped over. ALWAYS punch out the tab on the VHS to avoid this!!!! Archiving is good. A log book defining each jump and the stop and end points is really helpful. Some really great stuff, I just leave on the hard drive all together. Organizing yourself is a must. ALL VIDEO, ALL THE TIME. Que sera sera
  9. The tongue switch is sooooooo nice. No bobbing required. A fellow photographer actually bit through two of his switches. If your helmet is really tight and if your teeth are sharp, you may run into buying yourself a lot of switches. Regardless, either setup is much better than the old hand held switches we used to use. Ain't technology great Que sera sera
  10. I'll see if 512 is enough for now. I can always add on. My co-worker can get parts at wholesale. I think I'm gunna like my new set-up FAST>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Where on your shell does the firewire install in the front? Que sera sera
  11. Take a look in the thread to see my specs. I'm going to be getting updated, you know, living in the present. HOOORAY!!!! It sure costs big bucks to keep up witht he Jones'. Perhaps with a new system I won't have to deal with as many glitches in the programs. Que sera sera
  12. I think specs for newer versions of Premiere are more stringent. As far as the dropped frames, well, I am having other issues in other programs as well. I am having a quote done for me by a guy I work with who builds puters. He's really going to hook me up. I need updates so badly. Check this out: P4 at 2.6 GHZs478 800 front bus Intel 865 GLCLK 800 mhz (includes extreme graphics 64 mb onboard) 512 MB memory 7200RPM DVD ROM 4x DVD+R/2x+RW and some other little things Beats the Plll at 500 I'm running on now watcha think? Que sera sera
  13. You know, I'm in the process of getting a quote for a custom built desktop. Hopefully with a faster processor and all the video setup I could possible want will at least settle many of the issues I have. I will, however, in the meatime try these suggestions. I sure hope something will work. It's especiialy difficult when your knowledge base is very slim when it comes to these issues. Que sera sera
  14. I'll try all the suggestions here. But I'm inclined to believe that the dropped frames are due to my slow processor. Who the hell knows. I will keep at it. What about transfering video to PC via USB. Perhaps trying this would be better for the slower processor speed????? Que sera sera
  15. The 2K composite set up is pretty nice. It has a low profile and is pretty sleek. I will let you know how it flies after I install it on my helmet. Check it out on their site. Que sera sera
  16. Thanks for the update. Que sera sera
  17. With dropped frames all over the place, what is a person to do????? I have reinstalled the program and I think all my settings are correct. What the hell!!! (ADS PYRO PRO with Media Studio) I can't get a clean capture for nothin'. Any suggestions?? Burn the application, perhaps!!!! Ergo, the need for a better computer....or will this do the trick? [ That's it, I'm going to computer school!!!!!! Que sera sera
  18. What did you like about the Fujitsu as opposed to other makes? Still doing research on this end. I suppose if I weren't so damned thrifty, I wouldn't be asking so many questions. Do tell........ Que sera sera
  19. Is Final cut express upgradable to FCP?? What kinds of features does the program have and what program out there would be comparable (running on a pc) I suppose I would be more open to the MAC idea if I hadn't just bought new software. Now I am discovering that I need a faster computer to get anything done right. With all the wonderful things about MAC, I don't know how anyone could go wrong.....so i hear. Que sera sera
  20. look at the specs on this. Sounds pretty darn nice. Besides, I have a lot of Windows applications and editing programs to switch to the apple stuff. I just hate to throw it all out the wondow. For you enthusiasts, check out this Vaio. Que sera sera
  21. What I have decided to do for the upcoming season is to type out all the music I provide for the videos on back of my dub sheet. This is a nice way to allow the consumer to choose something from the list. I also encourage their own picks that perhaps I can download. I do, however like to leave it to the customer whenever possible. After all, they paid a lot of money for that video. Once I have all my songs typed, I can PM you a copy for some ideas if you like. Lots - o - luck. Que sera sera
  22. Hi Dave, I bought Media studio and am just learning to use it. Have you had any problems with it? Do you use it to burn DVD's? Let me know what your impression is of the program and if youhave any heads up for me about issues. Thanks, Cindy Que sera sera
  23. You can really get some good deals on e bay. That's where I have bought my gaffer's tape from. Good luck Que sera sera
  24. Hi, I'm using a ULEAD product as well. Am starting to look into burners. Might I ask what type of burner you have and if it gives you any problems?
