Good on you!! I...well...I 'fell off the fitness wagon'. I did a 10 mile river kayak last saturday and that has been the extent of my 'exercise' for several weeks. Life came crashing down and apparently I was not dedicated enough to my workouts. Fall down seven times, stand up eight...so the saying goes. New routine starting tomorrow. Wish me luck. Gas cards might be a big bait for the adults given the current state of affairs. You might talk to other flea market vendors about donating/discounting certificates for their stuff as prizes since it could increase their traffic and hopefully sales. It is summertime so ice cream, snowcones and those items might be a nice draw. I am sure there are tons of prizes you could think of to target all age groups

Um, they said animal control was there and couldn't find it then left.... It had been running loose evading capture for days.... It is a wild (UNPREDICTABLE) animal capable of human injury and/or death.... If the cops had seen it and not shot it, people would be bitching about them not getting it when they had the chance, especially if it had then injured or killed someone or their pet. Yes, it is a sad day for the cat, BUT unless he could be SAFELY contained until tranqs got there, too bad so sad. Even if the cops themselves had the tranq guns, you realize tranquilizers take several minutes or more to work on the animal depending on where it is shot with them. Life is not fair and there are no guarantees...

Then: 26 year old vet student, single, condo in the city and RV at the DZ, incredibly shy and softspoken, adventurous spirit, ready to take on the world, skydiving was the center of my world. Now: 33 year old widow, self employed, small house on a large farm in the country, still shy but not softspoken, finding out I am stronger than I could have ever imagined, beginning to live life to the fullest again but this time trying to make as much positive impact on others as I can before it is my turn to leave. Just because a human touched them, she won't abandon them. They lay one egg a day until they get the size clutch they want then will sit on them all and incubate them as a group. The numbers on the eggs I am not 100% sure of. Since they are protected under the federal migratory bird treaty, could be that they are being labeled by the fish and wildlife service or some other similar group. I did a 3 week 'fitness study' at the local gym. I lost 4 more pounds, 15 inches (across 6 points of measurement) and 0.7% bodyfat. It is spring, it is too pretty to be indoors so I am taking my fitness outside. I have big plans in June and am taking on a big project in May which could challenge my time management but I like the changes so far! The gym was nice the first week, but after that the SAME machines, SAME music and no windows to see out got old - there are mountains to climb, rocks to scale....and rapids to tame Life is not fair and there are no guarantees...
