No access to my SIM right now so I 'm asking .. How many jumps is required for the B now. 100? Water Training and the exam. anything else ?

Not able to comment on the reason some do it but I feel that at our level it would be a bad idea. I'd like to know that my canopy is good with the brakes unstowed at as high an altitude as possible. 1500' is not the place to be finding out something is wrong after releasing your toggles ...

Other than notifying the pilot, I thought I read somewhere that he has a responsibility to stay in the area if you open above a certain altitude? I've only done one but would love to do more for some extended canopy time to work on skills.

1.21 @ 38 jumps you really think so? Yes I do and so do my instructors and coaches . You have to listen to someone in order to make decisions in this sport and I listened to them.

Silhouette 190..... so I'm boring but I'm safe

Ask around about the Silhouette. I'm close to your weight and am flying a 190. So far I'm very conservative with it while learning to fly it safely but I also feel once I gain more experience I can get more aggressive and not need change canopies for a few hundered jumps. I like the Silhouette.

Can you jump your rig on the 120th day after a repack or is that the day it has to be repacked. Sorry if a repost but had trouble finding it under search.

I hope to stay current once I get back in as well. Can only blame it on a change in lifestyle. When I decided to get into this sport I had a lot of disposable income. I recently bought another house and started a total remodel on it .. So much for the beer money. I'm really starting to miss jumping though so if I can do it on the cheap for a while I should be OK. I put my rig on a couple times a week and run through the EP's / gear check type stuff. The SIM is on the night stand and I run throught the quizes once in a while as well. I plan to go down next Saturday and get back in the air.

I have yet to get my A but have all the dive flow items signed off on my card. I have been away for 4 months and hope to return real soon and jump at a new DZ. What should I expect as far as the number and type of coach jumps I will be required to complete? I’m thinking it’s not really a cut and dry thing but will depend on the evaluation by the instructor on the first jump. I assume they will want to see that I can exit and get stable, unstable and then stable again as well as doc and maintain altitude awareness. I hope to do the required jumps , wrap up the A card and take the oral exam when I return real soon.

Used 190 Silhouette about 4 years old with about 300 jumps. It has been checked out by a rigger and is in good shape. How do I determine a fair price?

Any instructions available on removing a Main Canopy attached with Slinks. I have not looked at them yet so they may be self explanitory but did not want to dive in blindly.

I had the same issue after my last jumps and the pain has lasted a while. I mentioned this to my doc last week during my yearly physical and she said that she never recommends Afrin but in this case it should help. Use it on the day you jump only as it can become very addictive.

I don't get this statement ? "My body position meant that it was impossible to deploy my reserve parachute." Did he mean it would tangle if he deployed it or that he could not reach his handle? If it was a fear of it tangling I would think you are better of to at least give it a shot...

Probably not many fans on here but I was watching the pre race show today and they had Rusty Wallace and his crew out doing tandems. pretty cool
