A further hypothesis on the popularity of Trump
JoeWeber replied to billvon's topic in Speakers Corner
I honestly do not believe he can put a coherent list together. It's just a thing like socialism which isn't a thing when it comes to his social security checks and his medicare. -

Please break down what exactly you mean by "liberal ideology". -
Wishing you a warmer and more salubrious New Year. Me, too.

Now we know why Billvon has been quieter lately
JoeWeber replied to wmw999's topic in Speakers Corner
So my whatshername, I need to be more observant, was looking at my screen when I typed that. Pretty sure I'll wake up with a cauliflower ear. -

False equivalency. Arguably, idiot local sheriffs who want armored personnel carriers with a mounted .50 machine guns are a part of a national problem, id est the pointless militarization of not only our local police forces but of the very citizenry they are charged to protect.

Religious Authoritarianism Has America nailed to its Cross

Negatory. The writer can never know in advance what capabilities, prejudices, life experiences and so on the random reader will bring to the text. The writer can only write what they want to write. Beyond that it is all on the reader. -

But they are your interpretations of the interpretations, right? After all, be any book a book of fact or fiction any confusion or misinterpretation of the writers intent must fall to the reader. -
That's because he's an arrogant asshole with a badge, tell him I said so. Being a hick Sheriff does not automatically confer sophistication, wisdom or a worldly view. The problem is that it's not a novelty. The problem is that there is too much of it and it all sends the wrong message.

So he up and admitted his scam was over. I guess that makes him a stand up guy but probably not a god. And...no matter how you twist it or which language you claim he he used he didn't personally offer forgiveness.
-
Then the community is wrong. Your community does not need a damn armored personnel carrier with a .50 cal for defense, show or taking the kids to the pool. It's simply ridiculous and you should say so to Leon the next time you chat.

Thanks Phil, I had hoped there was enough snotty sarcasm in my reply. Sheriff Lott is obviously a goddamn fool. Further, regardless of whether some one thinks that background checks are right or if your guns should be confiscated by your local cops or your second cousins anyone who thinks a Sheriff who wants an armored personnel carrier with a mounted .50 cal to protect the peace is a good guy should reexamine their thinking.

Wasn't it "forgive them father for they know not what they do?". That doesn't sound like he personally forgave them which I thought was, and is, his whole schtick.
-
Alright. Seeing as he's a Democrat I'll go along with whatever.

I thought he croaked on the cross and daddy defeated his death. Not so? While we're on to history that was not reported by prolific historians of the time, like Josephus, didn't Jesus ask his father to forgive his tormentors? I don't recall anywhere where Jesus on the cross forgave anyone.

I'm thinking your Dang Sheriff is a Dang Druggie. Seriously, what a yo he is. First, even in Kallend's neighborhood in Chicago not everyone needs two guns-one in the cabin and one in your vintage MG. Further, if the armed citizenry needs to be told to not leave their guns in the car overnight I'd say that's an argument for serious gun control. Clearly where you live things are way out of whack. Is the dipshit Sheriff elected?

Thus spake the God Big Pharma.

Good luck getting your redfellows to admit they are simply hypocrites whenever it suits them. Now that you are woke it's possible to see it in the abortion/death penalty argument, deficit spending by R's vs. D's, border walls vs. no cantaloupes for breakfast and on and on and on. Welcome aboard the train to stultifylandia.

By comparison, believing the presidential election was rigged, stolen and plagued by so much fraud that subverting the very constitution you fought for was reasonable would barely fire a synapse.

Relax, Joe. Now and again Jaybird pops out of nowhere and shortly later goes back to la-la land.

Apparently not.

Anyone caught catching butterflies without a net shall be dragged backwards by galloping horses to a public place for additional ill treatment. Habeas Corpus shall be suspended for all persons in the vicinity of suspected gun crimes. A special night police shall be formed to round up all persons without backgrounds, known mandatories and counterfeit exceptions. And just like magic we can simply forget that DC.v Heller is the law in America.
