  1. No it's not. No one signs a contract in the real world counting on an amendment if things change. Although I suppose being on the receiving end of a cancelled contract might be framed as a mutual agreement. Bankruptcy is an outlier event, or should be, not an expectation of the parties. That's why you need to be careful about who you contract with and why if the risk is high the terms are harsh.
  2. "Happily"? It's vastly more complex as you know. But at it's most basic level it's because I believe in the sanctity of contract law in a capitalist economy. A bargain struck should remain so. If I contract to buy an airplane, and the depreciation regime subsequently changes, the contract between the parties must remain unchanged no matter if the tax consequences of the respective contracting parties change. That's why. It's not about right or wrong or what I or you would do it's about not taking one more step towards becoming a Banana Republic.
  3. It's your good fortune, I guess, that there is a skydiving forum that gives you a platform to bang on the US. Your post was just an attack as per usual. I simply dismissed it. Have you ever considered starting your own thread here so we can hammer on you? It's scary but I'm sure you are brave enough.
  4. True. Also true is that there are many Stock Exchanges including one in Toronto. No question was dodged. Skydekker asked "why" and then railed.
  5. Maybe try it with less of a high handed hectoring tone and you'll get a more thoughtful response. "You elected him President" Really? He was elected but I didn't vote for him. My opinion on school loan forgiveness is my own, not the nations. Just back it down a bit.
  6. Not your business. Not your tax bill. Not your country. That's why.
  7. Agreed. Outright forgiveness of student loans is simply unfair. Let's change the system, sure. But those who borrowed it should pay it back.
  8. Correct. But I didn't make it you did.
  9. Yes. I'm against all guns that were ever used for any purpose even in cartoons.

Next up, Monoclonal Anti-body treatment no one else can get.
  11. Brent, I don't doubt that some AR-15 Scientist will sort out a way to fire German WWII 88MM shells out of an AR-15 but it still won't mean anything. They are dumb guns for hunting and a bad choice for home defense. Look, I respect your knowledge and skills and I don't care if someone like you has a pair of machine pistols with ivory grips and Italian leather holsters. Botton line: you've got the new and abridged second amendment so just enjoy and you've no need to make any justification for that which simply pleases you. We'll just need to have different opinions on the AR-15.
  12. Don't forget the sand bag rest and spotting scope. You know that a faster round isn't always the best choice when hunting in tight cover, right?
  13. That article read more like it was from Guns and Ammo. And to your point, they were reviews of a type of firearm; a type unnecessary for hunting but attractive to those who hunt and also like unnecessary firearms. Sure it's my opinion but so was the article which, more than anything to do with actual hunting, seemed more focused on pandering for subscriptions.
  14. Nope. We're getting bogged down in the details of why some guns are used for anything at all. Every last one of the AR-15 weapons in the Field and Stream Article have no practical use for a serious hunter who also prides themselves on their marksmanship. The real truth about their appeal is revealed in this quote from the review of the Mossberg MMR Pro "The rifle features a trigger designed by the fastest gun alive—Jerry Miculek—that’s crisp, with a creep-free break, and is even user adjustable for over-travel." Boy, don't that give a guy a chubby! The reality is they are over priced, dumb for hunting and poor self defense weapons unless you believe in the Zombie Apocalypse.
  15. Why? They aren't really designed for the purpose, right? Why not use a purpose built and designed gun?
  16. In my opinion if you need or anticipate the need for a second shot at whatever animal, except armed humans, you are trying to kill then you need some more range time and an attitude adjustment. The reason I quit hunting was because of guys that couldn't show enough respect for what they were hunting to learn to kill with one shot. My last day I was heading out for an evening duck hunt and before I made it to my blind my dog had picked up a limit-again. Not my sport, I thought.
  17. The problem with semi auto is that the only thing auto is the second shot. If you are hunting critters that do not shoot back a bolt action rifle is best, a lever action is second best. Semi auto is never needed except to compensate for poor marksmanship. I also once was big on waterfowl hunting. Big as in I belonged to two clubs so I could get in the morning shoot and the evening shoot. For years I used a single shot Savage 12 gauge. Never had a problem. Sorry man, but military looking bad ass guns are not required for hunting.
  18. Self serving bullshit. I may be a snowflake libtard but I know hunting and hunting guns. .22X guns are inappropriate for any game animals you want to drop with one shot. You might be able to justify a .243 Winchester or a .257 Roberts for close range Antelope or farmland Blacktails but if you are serious about confirming your kill you need more hitting power. I hunted Bull Elk for 10 years and went 10 for 10 using a Ruger M77 in 7MM Remington Magnum. Never had to track one unlike others who thought smaller caliber guns would do the job. The AR-15 Platform is not a hunting gun.
  19. Um, unless one is ignorantly just lifting stuff off the internet to impress ones equally ignorant friends one might take a moment to be sure the words are properly capitalized. Just a thought.
  20. All 74 Million are angry and patriots? Not a pretender in the bunch? It was an election, Ron. 81 Million is more than 74 Million. We win. You are no Patriot. You hate America. You despise what it is. You reject her institutions. You long for a Theocracy and you get downright giddy at the prospect of pulling down those demonic, Luciferian liberals. The idea that you think you have the ability to counsel others is truly frightening. Get used to it: you lost.
  21. .50 BMG. Made in America and smuggled to cartels in Mexico to shoot down Marine helicopters. You are impossible to deal with because you are always all over the map. Here, in your defense of self defense you elevate the conversation to puerile insults and weapons of mass destruction.
  22. Do you need a grenade launcher or a Barrett .50 for the purpose? I keep a Beretta Tactical on hand and feel great about the choice. Of course, allow me to be baffled if someones own personal defense need includes an ability to spray armor piercing rounds through the wall.
  23. That's what I was thinking. Where to start with the guy is always the problem.
