  1. I fly a lot, both domestically and internationally. US domestic flights, especially in First, are getting ridiculous. My last flight, Delta PDX-ATL, had two cats meowing in the seats in front of me and a dog with a ribbon hair-do wanting attention in the seat next to me. If you are allergic to the damn things it's your tough luck: take the next flight. More importantly, what the holy hell would happen in an emergency? Let's not forget for a single second that the people doing this just to take their pet are taking advantage of a law that was intended to protect the disabled who truly need their animals and deserve to have them aboard. Anyone playing the game to get their pets on board are being selfish, inconsiderate and would be putting others at risk in an emergency and, so consequently, could not care less that they are doing so. If you know someone who does it do the right thing and call them out.
  2. *** But don't feel bad. Apparently Trump is no smarter than you are*** Your one warning Bill. Address what he say's not if he is not smart.
  3. Thank you, I will. But I'm through with Ron and Marc. I'd rather listen to an old Tiny Tim album skip for a few hours than hear their same songs again and again. I'd ask a favor of you, however. Would you please tell Ron I have no clue who Stu Weber might be. Same church, different pew is my best guess.
  4. I do too. Ron, I am not vested in you or this forum. I get it that you feel certain about what you believe but we are here, too. I'm sure you are a decent guy but you are simply unable to see beyond your beliefs. The consequence is that your persistent solipsism makes any two way conversation impossible. You're the better man. I concede defeat and the field. I'll leave your offered opportunities to self flagellate to others.
  5. I read and understand the above article. Generally, I lean toward agreement with your position in this post. As a Pentecostal Christian I am frequently appalled by the published behavior of Evangelical Christians the same as you and others. We, Pentecostals, are more concerned with relationships both with Christ through the Holy Spirit and each other. We function in small community groups. We are neighborhood worship centers. The main Protestant Evangelical Christian denominations tend to look down upon us. We accept that and are amused by it. So, feel free to attack the religious groups. We don't belong to their ideology except for one main point. That is, we all accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. We all accept the Holy Trinity. We all will be ushered in to Heaven in the end and we will not even be concerned with this stuff of life. If the corporeal world has so little usefulness, why did your God even bother to give it to you? I suppose you'll point out something like how can you know your toe feels good if you've never stubbed it or something similar. But seriously, how can you organize your life around the proposition that we're all just hanging around some dank subway station waiting for the number one train to come by? It has no posted schedule, don't you know, so just be patient and we'll all be out of here soon. I find that kind of thinking just plain weird.
  6. Interesting way to put a fake opinion out there Bill. But I'm used to doing it by now and I think everybody else is too. Hi Marc, You do get around, just not around to answering questions. I queried this in a different thread:"Interesting. You said:"...since man started walking upright on the planet." That implies that you believe in the scientific theory of evolution in some degree. Is that the case?" Any chance you might respond?
  7. Once again someone wants to muddy the waters with statements like yours. The climate changes! Mankind has adjusted to climate change since man started walking upright on the planet. Somehow people want to confuse climate change with man affecting the environment. Sad but that's the way the left Eco radicals have moved this debate. So sad! Marc, do you have evidence disproving anthropogenic climate change? The thing is, at least for me, the same science that gave us airplanes, parachutes, AAD's and internet forums also gave us overwhelming evidence of anthropogenic climate change. So like the reality of the Moon landings and the shape of our planet I go with the scientific evidence which, so far, is overwhelming. School me please. How am I in error? It is not my job to disprove a negative. It is your job to prove your assertion. And as of yet no one has been able to do it A tourist to Jerusalem visits the Western Wall, the wailing wall. He watches fascinated as the faithful pray. Nodding and tapping their heads, rubbing and pulling their beards, wailing, writing notes and stuffing them in the cracks between the stones. One fellow finishes and the tourist asks him: " Excuse me, please, but I couldn't help but notice how devout your were in your prayers. Might you tell me what you were praying for?" "Yes, of course, the fellow say's, I was praying for peace, love and brotherhood for all of the people who live in these troubled lands" "That's very nice, he replied. How's that working out?" "Well, the fellow replied, it's like talking to a wall."

Do you believe that America can influence the rest of the world's nations in such a manner as to actually control the earth's climate? Or, do you accept the fact that the earth simply goes through climatic changes? Ron, Those are separate questions. The first makes no sense and the second is an obvious truth. I do believe we can influence a majority of the worlds nations to slow the rate of anthropogenic climate change. Yemen might be a tough sell, for example. Just because climate change has a natural cycle does not mean that it can not be affected by human activities on the planet. You also have a natural life cycle that might be shortened or lengthened based on certain activities. Why can you not see that climate change might also be affected positively or negatively by your activities? For example, maybe taking your own recycling bin to the curb won't move the world betterment needle in any measurable way but if a hell of a lot of people do it then less resources are wasted and so on. Of course, 7.5 Billion recycling bins on the worlds curbs may not be enough to slow down or stop the negative effects of our own activities. For the sake of argument, I'll give it to you or anyone that stopping or slowing climate change may be futile in the extreme but that doesn't change the scientific truth of anthropogenic climate change.

  11. You don't leave any of the Kool-Aid for anybody do you... Great obfuscation, thanks. Did you know that No license is an anagram for insolence, no silence and also, interestingly, senile con. Weird, huh?
  12. But Snipes do exist. Of course they do. But only if you believe.
  13. Straight forward? Dude, I honestly had no idea what your metaphor was supposed to mean... except perhaps that you've been to some really messed up weddings in your time! Haha, no. Definitely no. I think pretty much everyone here knows you're incapable of offering what anyone seeks. No, I'd say he's frustrated because you can't even give a coherent explanation of what you seek. Your goalposts move on an hourly basis. You veer wildly between being obsessed with imagined misbehaviour from one politician to not caring at all about real, criminal behaviour from others because god's sorting it all out anyway. That's it, for sure. The conversations remind me of snipe hunting. That's a wonderful pastime where you give a kid a paper bag and a stick and send him off to find something that does not exist.
  14. Yes, well I am a bit of a loose cannon and bear close watching, for sure. You also enjoy your Christmas Holidays. I hope they are as special for you as can be.
  15. Be it Moore or trump. Its still, after all this time, stunning, that they surround themselves with such stupid, bigoted people. The underlying passion is not bigotry or stupidity. It is fear and it exists on both sides of the aisle. No one knows for certain what the answer is for our national government. This is the same as the excitement, fear and anger in a bride's family leading up to the wedding. Everyone wants the end result to be just perfect and everyone has the perfect idea to make it happen. Sometimes it works out. Sometimes families become so divided that they do not speak to each other for years or ever again. The bridegroom cometh. Who will be ready? As Limbaugh stated yesterday, the Democrats will take the win but, they would have had "Moore" ammunition if the Republican party would have prevailed. Can anyone tell me something illuminating they have learned from Ron? I'm serious. Exclude, please, pointing to examples of how twisted are he and those of his ilk. Exclude also how he has made it possible to hone your anti-extremist skills at low expense. Best I can tell, he's like talking to a wall. Why do it? I find it interesting that you picked this post of mine for objection. I thought it was a straight forward op-ed piece. Your message to me is that you are a seeker. As such, you are frustrated with me because I can't give you what you are seeking. Am I correct? Let me encourage you to continue your search. An old ancient teaching states, when the student is ready the master will appear. The Holy Spirit is beckoning you. Ron, I apologize if my post caused offense. The post I replied to was simply available to ask the question. I am most definitely not frustrated because you can not give me what I am seeking; not all wander through life lost and looking for a Master. I simply find your positions to be not only extremist but also repetitive. Consequently, I am caused to wonder what I am missing when I read what you write. So I asked. Nothing more to it.

  17. Bill, Is there some way you mod's can aggregate all posts by Marc Rush in a single thread? You know, something like the Lazlo Toth letters. The thing is there are now 32518 of them for researchers to ponder which makes it a little difficult. I, for one, am certain there are messages in there somewhere. For example, has anyone tried recording them and playing them backwards like a Beatles album? Just a thought. Joe
  18. Who gives A FLYING FUCK[/B] about keeping score?!?!?!? Why does this have to be partisan? How will this ever get any better if a significant section of society says 'well that's a Christian (or Democrat, or Republican, or [insert group here]) problem'? Is there anything more important than petty point-scoring for you? I thought some liberal types would have already done it. I was given them opportunity. And a Happy Thanksgiving to you. Ron, You are impossible. Because you are so locked into your beliefs and your holy book you simply cannot see any other position but your own. You have zero desire to learn from anyones perspective. It's either we agree with you or we are all wrong. Go proselytize somewhere else, door to door for example. Here you can hide, not answer, equivocate, go to another thread and so on. I'm serious. I see this forum as your low effort way to spread the word to fulfill your obligation with no real inconvenience. Hypocracy and irony scores maxed out... The word is spelled hypocrisy I'm pretty sure a Hypocracy is government by Hypochondriacs. You should look it up.
  19. I confess that I feel unhorsed having to say that you are right. Not that we actually had anything to discuss or had engaged in a dialogue that could be called a discussion. That said, as you point out, there is nothing more ahead of us. After so often making my point for me without realizing you were doing so, to ice the cake at the end by actually stating it outright in plain english is greatly appreciated. Unless I accept your Jesus and am saved, a moment at which a 2000 year old Holy Book filled with unintelligible jibberish, hateful ideas and conflictive messaging becomes the most wonderful, clear and loving tome ever produced, then I will never understand. Well, if you are right then I am fucked. But you are not right. And regardless of what you believe I have something you will never have until you see the light. I have real reasons to believe.
  20. ***Well, it appears you and I have nothing else to discuss at this point. Without accepting Christ and receiving the Holy Spirit the meaning of Scripture is lost. Thirty-six years ago I experienced the life saving grace of God through salvation in Christ. My only obligation is to pay it forward by proclaiming the truth of the Gospel and sharing my testimony. The choice is yours. I wish you good luck as that is what you have left to accompany your intellect. Just know that luck is a respecter of persons, God is not.[/quot
  21. Sure. It tells me you've been duped, How about: 1 Peter 2:18: "Slaves, submit yourselves to your masters with all respect, not only to the good and gentle but also to the cruel." 1 Timothy 2:12 “I do not permit a woman to teach or to have authority over a man; she must be silent.” Psalm 137:9 “Happy is he who repays you for what you have done to us – he who seizes your infants and dashes them against the rocks.” There are oodles of awful, cruel and horrifying passages in the Good Book. I'm sure you know that but have some mind numbing explanation as to why certain verses are metaphors and others are, well, the gospel. Hey, didn't the Commander quote something from the Book of Romans before he raped Offred?
  22. No, that is individual preferential behavior. Sin is a Biblical concept for the Jew and the Christian. Well that's some good news. So are you saying that for heathens like me or Muslims or followers of the monkey God Hanuman there is no sin?
  23. I hope you had a good Thanksgiving. You puzzled me again. I don't see the relationship of your response to my post. But to answer you, I do go out into my community. I belong to a group of Christian veterans that provide services to vets that fall outside the range of the VA. We help with mortgage and rent payments, employment, home repairs, etc. Today I am meeting with a former 101st ABN vet, now contractor, to determine an estimate for repair to a mobile home for a Navy vet with cancer. Thank you, I had a fine Thanksgiving. Ron, I respect your good works and do not doubt it is a constant feature of your life. I'll give it to you in spades that our vets are often short changed by the system and folks like yourself and your friends are doing work that is the governments responsibility. But there it is, right? Are you opposed to government social programs that would help vets? How about other citizens, too? Conservative politics yield less social help, not liberal politics, you get that, right? Your puzzlement was well founded. In fact my response was not only related to your post, it was in response to you generally. You truly do not give a second thought to viewpoints adverse to your own Christian understanding. You tell us how it is and when it suits you no more you move on. Prove me wrong. And then there is this: "Sin is a fundamental relationship— it is not wrong doing, but wrong being— it is deliberate and determined independence from God. ~O. Chambers" That is woo-woo. It is also fair game as you've referred to it by way of explanation and defense of your positions. Here's one for you: Sin is the callous indifference to the plight of others.

  25. And yet people like you keep voting for it. You are absolutely correct. Whenever a righteous candidate rises up the progressive liberal left crucifies him because they represent an evil agenda. They know a righteous candidate will have a negative effect on their illusion of joyful living. We therefore are only given the choices of relative evil. We have to choose the least offensive. We can never make a better world. We can only choose our individual path to truth. That path starts with surrender of the ego at the foot of the cross of Calvary. That is the way of repentance, the way to allow Christ and the Holy Spirit into your life. America is paying the price for legalized abortion. Psalm 106: 36 They served their idols, Which became a snare to them. 37 They even sacrificed their sons And their daughters to demons, 38 And shed innocent blood, The blood of their sons and daughters, Whom they sacrificed to the idols of Canaanlust; And the land was polluted with blood. 39 Thus they were defiled by their own works, And played the harlot by their own deeds. 40 Therefore the wrath of the Lord was kindled against His people, So that He abhorred His own inheritance. 41 And He gave them into the hand of the Gentiles, And those who hated them ruled over them. 42 Their enemies also oppressed them, And they were brought into subjection under their hand. 43 Many times He delivered them; But they rebelled in their counsel, And were brought low for their iniquity. Substitution mine I'll give you this much, without credit for intent, you are sure able to troll them in at will.
