  1. You can make your own AR and have a supply of liberated 30 round magazines from the army. And you need the second amendment, why?
  2. Having an issue with it or not is entirely irrelevant. Relevant is that the Chinese will not fail their hegemonistic goal as we did. They are done being second. The thing about the Han Chinese is that at their very core they believe they should rule the world. Not in concert but they. Right now they are holding all aces. They have the population numbers, they have the economy, they have a weakened Russia, they have a weakened western world thanks to Trump, and they have a world asian population of 4.5 Billion out of 7.2 Billion to cater to. We can enjoy our time in the sun but in 1000 years every last human alive will have a Chinese name. That's just reality.
  3. Wendy, Outside of the US the Chinese are broadening their base with contracts. I have seen many examples with my own eyes. On the ground where it is happening I make inquiries with locals and ask questions. The Chinese build cities no one will live in to invigorate their economy. For them, these overseas projects are a no brainer. They get a foothold in another nation, they employ Chinese there, and at home where the equipment is built, and they never intend to leave. Think of it like Ron's electoral map except not of Georgia but of the world. All of the red is where the Chinese are doling out cash and gaining presence. They have already won and they know it.
  4. Based. In. China. Your issue is that these Chinese outnumbered xenophobes .00013 to 1.
  5. You mean like over cooking the Kung Pao Chicken? The horrors! F'n unbelievable that in a nation where free speech is at the top of our rights, and every last other person who is here for any reason, that visitors to our nation should feel free to celebrate their nation in support of a true international sporting event like the Olympics. Thanks for the valuable insight.
  6. We'll always be able to sleep easily with our views. The truth is that be it Guns, Climate Change, Trump, or just fill in the blank, the right has shown in spades that they really don't truly believe in anything except power and getting what they want at anyones expense-and right f'n now! No facts, no history, no empathy, no nothing moves them. They won't be bothered by their conscious or anything liberals say. Getting theirs in anyway they can is their view of the natural order. Maybe they are right. I just simply refuse to see it that way.
  7. A house, by the way, that has 6 shitters. Vile, awful, selfish, entitled, and on and on and on. These are also people that airdvr, Bill and others voted to stay in power. Never forget.
  8. An unregulated ponzi scheme, being unnecessary to the dupes who funded it, the right of the people to tithe to their God, shall not be infringed.
  9. Phil, Thanks. Now please go get proof those new congress critters gave tours insurrectionists.
  10. With me zero. Seriously, I'm not sure that needed to be written. Those who don't know it already won't get it.
  11. You mean like those robber baron Chinese railway workers? Seriously, what are you talking about?
  12. Less than tea in China, apparently. The Chinese are everywhere I have traveled for years. No one likes them, but they all want the money. They simply wheel in, grease the local politicians and get going on an infrastructure project using Chinese equipment and Chinese labor who shop in the also supplied Chinese Stores and restaurants.
  13. I suppose it's rational to pick Chinese funded door #1 when there is no Western World funded Doors #2 or 3. While I'm not sanguine about dumping CO2 into the atmosphere, and I definitely don't see 800ppm as salubrious, it is hard to see how our best efforts are going to amount to a pinch of slag when the developing world is so big and undeveloped and when the Chinese will apparently continue expand unhindered to global dominance at any price. Some day's I think, fine, let's let them buy a cooked planet.
  14. More 401K money, fewer abortions, fewer gay marriages and brutal immigration policies all tied up with a cheery belief that the Libtards got fucked again. Win, win, win, win and win.
  15. WTF? The First grade classrooms were all empty, right? I say force them to clerk for Louie Gohmert, Josh Hawley, Jim Banks, Jim Jordon, Marjorie Taylor Greene and Lauren Boebert. That'll teach them to house the elderly in medical care facilities during a pandemic.
  16. Apparently pretense isn't your strength.
  17. airdvr is now without any credibility, hence his usual departure until we forget. His claim that the capitol attack was a "dust up" not only gives insight into the right wing way of denial thinking but also reveals his news sources. Not good. Brent doesn't care, really. His chosen issues of the second amendment and global warming, whether he realizes it or not, are adorable to him because they are open for endless debate. They are, in fact, religious issues that allow belief to trump facts. In all honesty, I respect Brent because, unlike some, he is so good at what he does.
  18. I pointed this out a while ago, it's a consequence of how he lives. I'm certain that everyone he allows around him is mostly agreeable, or non confrontational, with his views. Brent is a strong personality whose technique is obvious in his posts: get in your face, argue that you aren't aware, and then call it over. To wit: "thanks for playing." He's not a troll, he's damn smart and simply quite used to winning. We are simply amusements for him.
  19. And I'm thinking you are right.
  20. Not that I do not enjoy repeating myself, realizing it or not, but I am of the opinion that TriGirl should be kidnapped and set to work on something serious like the Secret Service whether she likes it or not.
  21. Sadly, I know an ex-marine who fits the profile. This will likely go over as well as a turd in the Christmas punch bowl but I'm of the opinion that the years long Christianization of all of our armed forces, with the Army in the lead, requires all of us to wonder where any individual soldiers loyalty will ultimately lie. Just as we now need to concern ourselves with, based on actual awful evidence, where lies our police officers loyalty. Pollyannish assertions that a Sadat like assassination could never happen here because of X, Y or Z must be tempered by an honest appraisal of those whom we trust to protect our leaders.
