dito to that. I watched a TLC special on that condition..some baby in alaska...doctors there didnt know of the disease and the mother was in jail for months before they realized.... I just went on a suicide call. What a shitty way to start the day. Sometimes i wonder if I should stop this volunteet emt thing. I think its changing me. Im making jokes about trauma and death to deal with everything I see, and its bothering my SO and friends. Time to hang it up I think.

I just (two days ago) personally helped pull a part of someone from a small car (think escort like). key word: Part. some of him went to the morgue, the rest stayed on the passenger side of the car. Not to bring the mood down or anything, but pleeeeease..drive carefully. It can happen in the blink of an eye. stay safe

My brother and I are looking to each buy a 1/2 share of a 186 to build up our instrument time. I figure we can use it for personel jumps too. Ive been looking at the FAR's and trying to see what needs to be done so that I can jump from it whenever i feel like a dip. It looks like all I need to do is get the airport owners permission.

yea, the flight school will be first, then when that is going strong, we will start the skydiving thing. of course, there is nothing stopping us from just driving ourselves up and making jumps. if we wanted to dive together, we would hrmm.. put the 206 in a dive, jump out, do some freefly work, then fly down and get in by ...oh i dunno, 3k? hehe

im sorry but that is simply not true. I am a volunteer fire fighter/EMT. Many many fire depts (including mine) cannot operate without volunteers. There is simply not enough money. When you quit a volunteer dept. it means your dept is short when a fire call comes in. When 8 people quit, it probably means mutual aid will be called on every structure fire or MVA. This probably will cost the dept money. It also ads significat time (especially if this town is in the middle of nowhere) to when the needed personel will get there..which costs money if its a fire, and lives. Volunteers are the lifeblood of many many departments, and that is no exaggeration!

I know there was a thread on here about starting your own skydiving dropzone.. I searched for "skydive dropzone business" "start dropzone" "start drop zone" and didnt get what i wanted. Im sure there was a thread about it and it was too long ago (less than 3 months??) if anyone can help me out, id appreciate it!

When i was in Utah this year, I stayed in a hostel. There was a guy there who would stay up for days at a time. Every time I got up to go to the bathroom or whatever, he was in the game room playing playstation or watching tv. After about 3 or 4 days of not sleeping at all, he would crash and not wake up for over 24hrs...many times he would sleep for even longer. crazy

I knew this would happen. pretty soon im going to go to bed at 8AM and get up in the nighttime. I guess I will be tired tonight and ill be able to go to bed at a decent hour. All I have to do is stay up till around 9pm wish me luck.
