There were times I had to do some long-distance transports between hospitals on a code 3. It happens. And, every once in a while, maybe it was pms, maybe I'm just a bitch sometimes, I would get pissed about people on a close follow behind us. Not everyone...but there were a few vehicles that tailed so close that my driver couldn't see them in the mirrors and I felt like I was practically sitting on their lap. I know they couldn't see around us in case we had a sudden stop. And sudden stops happen all the time when you're driving with lights and sirens. You can keep the tornados. Two years of tornado warnings and sirens was enough to cure me for a lifetime. At least you have some warning on a hurricane. They suck, but you've got time to prepare. Besides, I watched a paramedic show on TLC about a tornado out there in Oklahoma that just devestated the areas it hit. I hope to never see that in person, ever. Just bringing back an old thread......since I just saw the preview for the remake on tv tonight!!! I'm really excited about the remake. I think it's mostly because I have so much admiration for Johnny Depp's acting. I can't even think of another actor who could do the Willie Wonka role justice. Stress? You mean my daily life? I don't have one specific thing that works for me...sometimes I work out, sometimes I listen to music and take a drive, sometimes I call people and complain, other times I just cry and eat. It all depends on the source of the stress... The stress I felt today prompted a phone call to my parents and me crying pitifully on the phone until I remembered that I can only take one day at a time and that everything will work out in the end...it always does.

Still in school, still borrowing. I owe more to loan companies than I'm worth including everything I own! I should owe in the neighborhood of $200,000 to $250k by the time it's all said and done. I just want to say that I agree...Kris rocks! And I don't just love him for his purple appreciation or cooking skills or Messican heritage! (Although, that's part of what makes him so damn cool) I agree because he has a huge heart. He's a great person and life around here just wouldn't be the same without him in it...

How about a boogie at my house and we can drink all my liquor (so I don't have to pack it, ya know, one less thing) and we'll go get sushi at this kick-ass little place I know and we'll just forget about all this crazy moving talk! Okay, so I'm moving to the other coast...of Florida, that is, next month. I am completely unprepared to move and just started calling places today to get quotes on rental trucks and day labor to help me load the damn thing and even full-service movers. It is CRAZY EXPENSIVE to move if you need help! I forgot how much it cost... The sad thing is that I live on the third floor of my apartment complex and there is no elevator. Moving in was a total bitch and I'm dreading the prospect of moving out. I don't have a lot of people for help here because everyone is busy with work. I don't really have a lot of stuff, though...just my bed and some bookshelves and an entertainment center are the bulk of it all. Estimates I've gotten: $200 for two men to load a uhaul truck for one hour $320 for a rental truck one way (not including mileage or gas, I think) $820 for those two men to load their truck and drive it to the Tampa area for me I'm freakin' because I don't even know where I'm going to live and I don't have a ton of money... Does anyone have any advice on how to move for less? I've considered just filling my car and making a few trips, but a 4 hour drive adds up in gas money. HELP me because I seriously think it would be a great idea to light the whole thing up and just take the insurance money and start over. I forgot to close my Z1 visor the last time I jumped. I made sure I secured the back and the chin strap, got one of the most thorough pin checks ever (to include all my straps, the reserve, and the three rings), made sure I gave enough time in the door, and set up with my visor not clicked in. Luckily, the rest of the folks on the plane noticed before I jumped...and all was set right!

The Rio Carbon is really sleek looking! I like it...nice choice!
