  1. I love your pics, eener!!! Now, if only I could have assisted on your surgery...THAT would have been fun! Thinking about you lots and wishing you a really speedy recovery! You know...so you can get back out there and risk injury again! Just kidding, but hurry up and heal already! Take me, I am the drug; take me, I am hallucinogenic. -Salvador Dali
  2. I like rain...you know, unless I'm standing in it trying to jack up my truck and my hair is falling into my eyes and I feel like it's a personal assault against me! Take me, I am the drug; take me, I am hallucinogenic. -Salvador Dali
  3. I've tried the south beach diet frozen dinners and they aren't bad. You know, for frozen food that can be cooked in the microwave. Take me, I am the drug; take me, I am hallucinogenic. -Salvador Dali

    is it me?

You're not pathetic. You're just sad right now and that's okay, just be proactive in trying to find the path back to happiness. Take me, I am the drug; take me, I am hallucinogenic. -Salvador Dali

    is it me?

Speaking as someone who has some experience in having a broken heart (seriously, though, is there anyone among us who doesn't?), let me just take a moment to remind you that you are responsible for the decisions you make in life. My suggestion...trust your gut instinct. Not your "I want him even though he doesn't love me enough or he doesn't give enough and he makes me feel sad all the time" self because that's you making excuses for a relationship that isn't a good fit. Sometimes, you just need to walk away so you have a chance to find the person who is right for you...and so that your partner has a chance to find the right person for him. I'm not saying that you have to break up with your man, but I'm saying that there is something not working in your relationship if you feel down more often than not and are buying stock in kleenex. Just take some time to think about the kind of relationship you deserve and remember that two people who love each other and are a good match for each other will bring out the best in their partner. If you find that you can't stop crying and you are having a lot of trouble taking care of yourself, then you need to make an appointment with a psychiatrist so that you can have an outlet to talk and consider options in your own health and well-being. The biggest suggestion I have is to remember that your opinions and your feelings are valid and important so don't lose yourself, okay?
  6. Thanks for the info, Bill. What about slider position on a rear riser flare/stall? Does it matter? Take me, I am the drug; take me, I am hallucinogenic. -Salvador Dali
  7. Because if I did, I sure am sorry. I'm in the middle of a stressful kind of time and things just don't want to go right. I've been trying to take each day with as much grace and optimism as I can muster, but today is really testing me! My roommate comes home for lunch and informs me that my Jeep has a flat tire. Maybe that doesn't sound like much, but given the last couple of days...Anyway, I go down to assess it and since it's between thunderstorms, I decide to switch it to the spare. I get everything out including my rain fly from my tent so I can set up the jack on the axle without getting wet (ha, ha). Just as I start jacking up the car, another torrential onslaught of rain begins. So, I'm standing in the rain feeling more pitiful by the nanosecond and just start crying. Then I start laughing because what else can you do? I gave up on the tire. There's no good time to change it and I'm not planning on going anywhere so fine. But, to whatever force I pissed off, I apologize and can I please have a little normalcy again? I'm broke, but if anyone feels like sending a little therapeutic ice cream my way that would sure be kind of ya.
  8. Silly girl. Don't hate yourself! You have the most beautiful smile I've ever seen! And, let me just say....that you have come SUCH a long way since when we first met. Chick, you have totally surpassed me in skydiving and I can still recall when you all brand new to the sport. You're damn cool, Kel!
  9. It's definitely on my list of things to practice the next few times I jump. So, where do I hold the risers? I mean, there's no loops on the rears, right? And do I pull the slider down or just leave it? Does slider position affect a riser flare? And how much flare do you have to give to not hurt yourself on landing? I've done riser stalls in the air before and I'm guessing that's a bit too much.
  10. I'm glad everything worked out for you on that jump!
  11. I haven't always made the best choices in life and in relationships in the past, but I've learned from every event - good, bad, and ugly. I wouldn't change that for anything, because I really feel that it makes me stronger, better able to handle adversity, and better equipped to make good choices in the future. Whether I'm learning from something I've said or done or from something that's been done or said to me, I think there is always a lesson to be taken away from it...even if it's just to recognize my inner strength. I think it makes me a better, wiser person able to love myself and someone else more openly and without reservation or selfishness. And, that makes me a better friend and better partner. My goal is to keep moving forward and to be the best person I can be today, tomorrow, and in the future. If I had a choice to erase, I wouldn't take it. Take me, I am the drug; take me, I am hallucinogenic. -Salvador Dali
  12. I love my vans! They're girly in all the right places and crazy comfortable!
  13. Voluntarily working...well, studying, but that's work for me. I don't think I have ADD until I sit down and stare at biomechanical processes for hours. I'm thankful for lunch breaks. Only 24 more days! I can't wait!!!
  14. I do know someone exactly like that.
  15. I love Pat Benatar! That cd is on special reserve for when I'm driving fast with all the windows down, feeling like I'm about to conquer the world, and completely unashamed about singing at the top of my lungs. Take me, I am the drug; take me, I am hallucinogenic. -Salvador Dali
  16. Did someone say chocolate? Umm, can I come play at the boogie, too? Take me, I am the drug; take me, I am hallucinogenic. -Salvador Dali
  17. Memorial day....hmmm. Is that a holiday? Let me check my calendar...oh, studying. Again. Maybe I'll go burn some salmon on the grill in celebration of memorial day.
  18. Those are great pics!! Looks like ya'll had a great time! And I know Molly was seriously lovin' the chance to kick up her heels and chase a couple of squirells and smell all the smells! Just, wow.
  19. How sad. All those poor little kittens... Take me, I am the drug; take me, I am hallucinogenic. -Salvador Dali

    Those kooky guys!

My dad emailed me this video and I think it's just too fun not to share. It had me laughing this morning... Military boys gettin' down Go easy on me if it's a repost because it'll be my time.
  24. Since we're bitchin'.... My tandem went on a weather hold, too! Damn clouds and rain made me sit at cracker barrel eating biscuits with strawberry jelly. Grrr! And then, once the weather cleared enough to let us jump and everyone was getting geared up, there wasn't anywhere to put my camera while I was in the air! I made my friend, the one who was told after a two hour drive that he couldn't do a tandem because he exceeded the weight limit, hold it for me. The whole way up, one of the TM's had the nerve to pretend to be sleeping! And, I didn't get to pull anything! Hell, I didn't even know the TM was throwing out until I had a chest strap in the neck practically strangling me to death. Double GRRRRR! Seriously, though, I wish your second tandem had been a greater experience for you, but sometimes they rock your world and sometimes they don't. One of the greatest lessons to be learned in this sport is patience and how to have a good time while you're on the ground. If you love being in the air, take up AFF and I think you'll be happy when you see that a whole new world has opened up to you. Just don't forget that one of the best parts of being on a dz is spending time with friends. So, get more involved, buy beer, be friendly and I think your complaints will eventually resolve themselves.
