Sunday the 8th. 40 jumps were made out of Russell's Cessna 206. Nicest weather day of the year. Blue, 30 and some tolerable winds. Two different drop zones came together for a 5 hr. blast.Tecumseh and Saginaw. No injuries,chops,cops,or even a disagreement was present. O.k. more beer and some packers next time. Way more fun and festive than expected. Thanks to all who made it the coolest event in the state that day ! Thanks Russell, Fox66 for the coverage and Petey is submitting pics to USPA. Sometime I think " why would I go through all the bs so some wuffo can watch me slowly pull my toggles down. Does a race car driver come to your street to show you how cool he can turn left ? " If they want to see skydivers , and everyone knows the sport exists, they can come to OUR play ground and see us in our natuaral "zoo like " environment. But I'm having a jump on the ice day Sunday. It's for us not the wuffos. I still think demos are cool. Just wish we could get them to come to us for a better show.

Never under estimate the intelligence of a wuffo. I had a friend who jumped once. 6 years later he said " I heard you can breathe through your skin while skydiving.... i saw it on TV " Yea we still love the guy who told the reporter that one. That's hilarious.

"Jump" by Van Halen came on the radio as we we're pulling into the parking lot of the dz.We sat in the car til it was over then signed up for a static line on round military type gear back in '87. But the best songs would be "Kick Start My Heart" or "Welcome to the Jungle" yes there are many other good ones.

Balloon rides, snowboarding trips , and good dinners cost money :) But you are right, good memories are the best. I was going to suggest drinking or smoking supplies, but that wouldn't help with the memories... what was the quesion ? oh yea. If he doesn't drink or smoke, how about a cool skydiving picture with a frame ? I won't even mention a 3 way.

10 bucks a month. Cheaper if you buy it in "Years". Got the XM Roady and a fm adapter. Sound is o.k. , but direct connect is a lot better. I hook it up at home too. Just need two antennas so I don't have to keep moving them. Circut City for the unit and Radio shack for the home conversion to AC power. under $200 for everything.

Got the winter blues ? Sick of all your music ? Radio been boring since you were in High school ? Get a Satellite radio. It cheered me up big time.So many good tunes I have not heard in ages. No need to get a lap top with a bunch of downloaded music anymore. Over 100 different stations to keep ya from going insane on the road or wherever. Comedy, News, any type of music you can think of, Plus a whole lot more. And very few commercials if any. I was reluctant at first, but can't live (drive) without it. Just keep your eyes on the road.

Congrats. You've probably paid your dues. I've always said I would give my left nut to fly in a fighter jet. So you get to fly AND keep your body parts. Way too cool. Burn a hole in the sky for all of us who decided to be skydivers instead of working hard to be a jet pilot or an astronaut. "Everytime you go up in the air , you're unsafe.... That's right Iceman, I am unsafe."
