Well I have say I am in agreeance with most who replied to this...it is a tough situation, especially after 22 years of being together. I went to school with a girl who was JH, she too (asit was previously noted in this thread) could not participate in the pledge, they didnot recognize any major holidays or birthdays. I have had the opportunity to know a few JH's through out my 28 years of life and they all seem brainwashed. Man will not get you to Heaven, there is only one way there and that is through the Lord Jesus Christ. I have also heard from some JH's that there is only room in Heaven for a predetermined amount of people (JH's only), the number keeps growing and they keep recruiting, seems cooky, doesnt it? I used to be in search constantly for a church home, (I am non-denominational) only to be hurt and let down several times by all the "hypi-christians". Shortly after I started jumping and made my first sunset load, I discovered that Jesus, higher power what ever you want to call Him, doesnt exist soley between walls and under a roof, He is everywhere & in everything. For me its admiring the beauty if things as I float down from a sunset load. I know I kinda got of on a tangent, I hope some of what I have written helps...good luck

Well I jumped my new rig today with my Saber 135. It was a blast! Had a great landing! My best-friend also made her first tandem today. She had a bit of sensory overload, but the first words out of her mouth was...the next time I do this....., So she was the first "whuffo" that I brought into the sport....Now that she has jumped, her husband said he will when its warmer It was 0 degrees at 13, 500 today in Indiana....My hands were numb! Anyway, thats my story for the day!

I am 28, my s/o is 27, however there is an AWESOME jumper at our dz who just turned 16. He has been jumping solo since he was 11. (not Mullins's kid) He posts here, but I can remeber his screen name....

Thanks for the concern everyone... I really appreciate it... No, my profile isnt up to date...in fact I even forget that it existed... Ive been jumping a sabre 150 for about the last 20 jumps and doing fine with it... I am gonna stay with that until next season, just to make sure my landings are polished...I guess I should have made my post more clear... Safety is my number one concern! I was reluctant to goto the 150, but after a dozen or so people at my dz encouraging it (a dz that has a near flawless safety record) I decided to try it... I am glad I did. Thanks again for the concern.... This is just one of the things that makes skydivers so great!

Well I took everyones advice here fromthe Poll I posted a month or so back (boobies vs. a new rig) and I bought my self a new "used" rig. However, it only has 200 jumps on it. Heres the lowdown: Its a Javelin TJN, with a sabre 135 main and a pd 126r reserve. It also came with an cypress. The lady I bought it from also threw in a matchong RW suit & sit suit. I got it today in the mail, and I AM SO HAPPY! It was just meant to be, she had it especially made for her, and her dimensions are the same as mine. It is also in my colors....could things really be any better? The reserve is being repacked today, so I will give it a go tomorrow... Thanks for letting me brag!

Hmmm....sounds like fun...have to mention it to my s/o....however, you should at least let a few people know what your plan is so that they don't put out a search party 4 ya...they may/may not like what they find....

Well as a girl I have to disagree with you on this...sounds to me like you have been mixed up with alot of immature girls who like to play games. I really apppreciate all the little things my s/o does for me (most of you know who he is....) He can be very sweet and do some very considerate things. The little unexpected post-it notes or a rose from time to time mean the most. I for one have never been into games. I appreciate a gentleman that knows how to treat a lady, however I dont expect it all of the time, b/c then like anything else it gets old. I have found honesty & respect get you the farthest. I treat people how I want and like to be treated. I have been told by many that I am cut from an old fashioned mold...maybe so...but it has worked good for me.

Okay, your opinions are needed... Tonight I took my kids to a assembly at their elementary school to see Jim "basketball" Jones. He's an inspirational speaker, who does neat things with basketball. I really didnt want to go, but my two oldest kids really had their hearts set on going, so we went...blah blah blah...in short I really had a good time and right before it was over he did his finale with a 8 basketball spin thingy to the song I believe I can fly by R. Kelly. There I was in a trance, almost in tears totally fixated on how much skydiving has changed my life for the good. The song really touched me and many of the lyrics made me think of jumping. However, my S/O thinks its a stupid song and so I am seeking out opinions. Thanks in advance.

I made 1, a 4 way horny gorilla, i didnt let the cold weather stop me, it was 30 degrees at 14,000 feet. Fun jump, hands were numb buy the time I landed, but I got to jump...

We have a 2nd grader & a kindergardener, they both started having homework about 2 months into kindergarden. That is totally different than what I remember, it seems as if I started having homework around 5th & 6th grade. I can see the pro's & con's of it. One pro being, that come HS & higher homework loads, they will be used to doing homework and that it will be a part of learning & advancing. One con, is that kids at this age should just be allowed to be kids, maybe 1 x a week but not everyday. I iasked my daughter's kindergarden teacher & she told me that the main reason was to promote parental involvement, which I agree that in some families the lack of is a serious problem.

Well I grew up in a cheating household, watched my dad do it and so on...it was adventually the stick that broke the marriage. It caused alot of pain, & I dont think my mom ever fully got over it, even though it was sixteen years ago and she is remarried. My s/o has different views about sex than I do, however out of respect for me he doesnt cross that line, flirts alot...but never crosses it. I on the same hand, flirt, but on a totally harmless basis. I take alot of pride by knowing that no other man has touched my body in a sexual nature in 6.5 years. Fidelity is becoming heard of less & less. I hope to instill these morals in my children for the furture. I have a t-short that says it best... "one husband, one wife for life, it may not be popular, but it is possible..."

Thats is the most awesome thing period! Successful marriages are something that is just not really heard of in mass majorites now! I have been married for 6 years and can say the same, no other man has touched me in that sense, since being with my s/o. I am very proud of it. My s/o has different beliefs, that sex is just sex, however out of love & respect for me he honors my wishes. I would like to give you a huge congrats! I hope to be in your shoes one day!

I jump a Pisa (aerodyne Research) SR-71 170 and it snivels for about 1000', my s/o rolls the hell out the nose or it snatches the poop outta ya...

No its apart of my gear check. When I'm doing my intial once over, I turn it on as I am checking my pins. You can never be too safe.
