  1. Yeah, what he said.... And, OK, if I weren't' truly in love it probably wouldn't have lasted this long even though the sex was good but if the sex isn't there what have you got? It's the glue! Marriage is like a door. Sex is the hinges on that door. If you don't have good hinges the door falls. The hinges aren't everything. But if you have really great, wonderful hinges and lots of them, well you have a really sturdy door now don't you! My door is hung really well.
  2. I married for the sex. We celebrate our 23rd year on Saturday. The sex is really good! Everything else is obviously really good to but mainly the sex. It's the glue. Don't ever discount the sex. Gotta have it. Yes, we are going jumping on our anniversary!!! Kiss passes in the air! Very romantic.
  3. I rarely ever eat breakfast so about the only time I get breakfast foods is if I have them for dinner.
  4. For minor irritation, what's the difference between spray-on and sprinkle-on (baby powder)? And if it's so bad that smearing Desitin on it is painful for the child, perhaps a doctor visit is in order. You don't want to use baby powder on a baby's bottom. Not good. If the baby has diaper rash, just use a dab of diaper rash ointment. (Desitin) They usually work. If they don't you need to go in to the Dr. because it's probably not diaper rash and you need something else for it. Never heard of a spray on diaper rash ointment. Good idea though! Maybe you should market that! Oh, and by the way... If you use a tube of that diaper rash ointment don't leave it sitting by the sink next to your tooth brush. John got up early one morning and accidentally brushed his teeth with that stuff. Nasty!
  5. hey C! Try and make it before the event as well! We need to get some practice jumping in the two of us before that!
  6. I found out about the Monday practice Monday morning. Talk about short notice Maybe Keri will let us know with a little more lead time on the formation loads a few days for comming out to play Scott Sorry about that Scott! I didn't hear about it until the evening before either. It really was a spur of the moment thing. It would have been fun to have you there! Next time!
  7. Yes, I can understand that. I'll keep you posted as we get all of the accommodations arranged and worked out. Are you wanting a hotel/motel or camping? It's all doable.
  8. YES!!! You are officially invited! We've been practicing big ways! Where have you been?
  9. /0/0 I'm just 4 weeks out from having reconstructive surgery on my foot. They just pulled the pin out of it last week. I went out the the DZ with gear but the winds were dead and I thought I might land a bit hard for the foot yet. Maybe next weekend. They did a few practice big way jumps for the Leap For Lupus Boogie coming up! Hopefully I'll be in the next ones they do. {{fingers crossed}}
  10. Thanks Richard! Sorry about the pink problem. Yikes! The commute to Shelton sucks I must say but a lot of people travel further in order to skydive and the place they have out there now is awesome, so it's worth it.
  11. I'd like to invite you all out to our Leap for Lupus boogie this year. Held at Kapowsin Air Sports in Beautiful Shelton Washington, on August 17th, 18th, 19th and 20th. We will have Roger Ponce out to help us with our Northwest Record skydive on the 20th. If you haven't been to Kapowsin recently you are missing out! That place rocks! Everything is big beautiful and new! This is for a great cause! 100% of our proceeds will go towards Lupus medical research. It should be tons of fun! Something for everyone including non-jumpers! Help us get the word out. We are looking for more sponsors! If you know any or are one please contact me. There are sponsor forms on our web site to download as well as fliers. Come join us and be a part of this amazing event! For more information contact me: [email protected] Or visit our web site at: www.leapforlupus.org I hope to see every one of you there!
  12. Well, maybe I did it all wrong then. I started skydiving 5 years before I had kids and then when the 4 kids came along I took them out to the DZ with me and they pretty much grew up thinking skydiving was a normal way of life. I really feel that you must still try to maintain the things you love in your life even when you have kids. You must make your children adapt to your life not the other way around. Be the adult! Don't let the kids dictate what you do! When I needed to go shopping, they came with me. When I needed to see people they came with me. They learned to behave in different situations at different times and get along. Isn't that the goal? There is nothing wrong with skydiving when you have children. There is nothing wrong with bowling, hiking, camping, fishing, white water rafting..... Just because you have kids doesn't mean you have to give up on things you like to do. It's not as easy at times but most things that are worth it require a price anyway. A little extra work maybe but it can be done. I think that is just a crap article.
  13. Beer. Get nice beer and lots of it and people will come.
  14. Well, technically it will be 23 years on June 2nd. But then there was the 9 months dating before that. But, yes, all that and more! We loved, admired, and respected each other when we got married. Why should that change? Why does it in some instances? When you are dating you go through all that romance but then stop. Why? Do you figure you got what you want so now you can neglect it? Do you fly into a formation, take your grip and quit flying too? It's so much more fun and wonderful to continue the romance. We just never stopped once we got married. We're still flying.
  15. If we are near each other, we are touching if not kissing. We love to be around each other. He still opens my doors for me and brings me flowers unexpectedly. We help each other out and delight in being able to do things for each other. We love to take long walks holding hands. Candles are standard on our table. There is always a kiss pass before we exit and in the air. We always end the day with an "I love you" if not more. That is just what pops into my head at the moment but there is so much more. Its' always all those little things that mean so much on a daily basis.
  16. I've been married to the most romantic man for 23 years! It started out wonderful and only got better. Through better or worse, sickness and health and 4 kids. Romance is alive and well here!
  17. I can't stop laughing! I wonder what he did after he got out of the car though. Is that poor grandma still alive? He looked like he may have had a bit of road rage against the grandma.
  18. Nope, Nerf Herder is a band. Haven't you ever heard 'Love Sandwich"? http://www.google.com/musica?aid=C6Ml7vjg2IG&sa=X&oi=music&ct=result I love that song! I especially like the fact that the "love sandwich" is two guys and a girl! (and Steve will run the video...) funny!
  19. Oh! Skittles! I love those things! Maybe the guy was hungry. Or maybe the guy had a lot of kids and wanted to make them happy but didn't have a lot of money to go out and buy them a truck load of Skittles. Or maybe he thought the truck was full of a new kind of beer named Skittles and was very disappointed when it turned out to be rainbow colored candy. Or maybe he just needed a ride somewhere and stole the truck to get from point A to point B and didn't realize that there was a mess of candy in the back. Or maybe he was hired by the Skittles company to go steal the truck for publicity. Or maybe, hum, maybe he might just be a Darwin candidate. I wonder what happened to the missing candy. I love those little things. Yum!
  20. Sure! Men are terrified of any woman that has to be seen for psycho therapy!! I bet it would work! Well, either you'd get your doll house or divorced...I've never tested that idea... Man! I don't want a doll house that bad.
  21. Uh, yeah....and your point is? The FIRST thing I bought for my daughter for Christmas when she was old enough was -you guessed it-Sea Monkeys. yeah she stirred 'em up, sat them on a shelf, and dehydrated them to death. Yes, but see, the difference is the sea monkey toy cost $8. The Barbie town house cost $100+. Not a good thing to buy if your kid doesn't want it. Plus the sea monkey toy takes up about 3 inches of space on the shelf. The Barbie town house takes up about 4 square feet of floor space. Again, not a good toy to have taking up that much room that no one wants. (except me) {{sigh}} Oh Valinda . I think it's one of those weird psychological things...if you don't ever own one, you just won't feel like your life is complete!! That's why I bought the Sea Monkeys and the Oven and whatever the hell else I've gotten over the years! Actually, I was really hoping my kids would like the stuff I did...and in some cases, they did. Other times...oh well. i got to be a kid again for a short moment. $100?! That's CHEAP!! Tell John it's WAY cheaper than psycho therapy to heal that childhood wound of never having one!! Awe, see it's not over yet. I have 4 kids! Odds are, one of them will produce a girl (hopefully) child that likes Barbie town house! I may just get it yet! I can wait. I'm very patient. I'll be a little old grandma down on the floor with a 5 year old playing with the Barbie town house and a big smile on my face. I will! Just wait! psycho therapy huh?
