  1. Nice except for those big CENSORED blockers covering up the picture! BOO! I don't think that censoring is allowed, permitted or appreciated in this thread. Take the block off and repost.
  2. OH! Holy... OH... My... Heck!!! How did this thread get by me?! John told me he was the only one that had one of those!! Well, I think his is a little bigger and fatter than the ones in these pictures but still... What a liar! Let's see some more!
  3. Is it regular Diet Dr. Pepper or is it a Berries and Cream Diet Dr. Pepper or is it a Cherry Vanilla Diet Dr. Pepper?
  4. I'm sad I can't go! My Friday is just to hecktic! Birthday parties, driving tests, band practice, track meets... I've always wanted to go to Emerald Downs too! It's just down the road from me! I've never been there! Next time you go please let me know! I'll go!
  5. I love your name!! Thank you Jaye! But it's OK you don't have to be polite. It's a dorky name. My parents made it up when I was a week old. Turns out there is a city in California with the same name! Ha! I just learned that recently. I guess I don't get to California often enough.
  6. OH! Big sore spot for me. I hate my name!!! Valinda No one can remember it. No one can pronounce it. I get called Belinda, Galinda, Melinda... No one can spell it. I get mail for Velinda, Velenda, Melinda, Belinda... My Dad's name was Val and my Mom's name was Linda. Val+Linda Ha! How Cute! --->YUCK!!! They stuck me with it! I've always wanted a name that was normal. Lisa would be nice. Beth, Sue, Cindy, anything normal that blends in with normal society. People look at me like I'm an alien when I have to tell them what my name is. I get "HUH?!" a lot. But --- Mom and Dad would be upset if I changed it so. I'm still stuck.
  7. 0-3-0 Congratulations GogglesnTeeth on the new baby to come!!
  8. ugly hazel. Wanna make something of that? Why do you want to know anyway? They look better with nicer color clothes. The can be blue or green depending.
  9. Long rambling post proving I read the post and have fifteen articles from different sources proving that I'm right and you're wrong, but I'm not right enough to let it go or sum it up quickly. Instead I'll keep talking, trying to sort out how I really feel, not realizing I'm putting people to sleep and no one really cares anyway because they are thinking that the knee-jerk attack is funny and they like pizza.
  10. Oh! You went to Buca Di Beppos! LUCKY! I love that place. We went there once after John had been on a TV show at KOMO which is right around the corner from that restaraunt in Seattle. We had all the kids with us and we all had a ball. Great food! Glad you had a good time!
  11. Yup, been there done that. And still dancing on the cemetery plot they bought for me! Just can't feel bad about each day that passes after that no matter how old you get! Celebrate and live life to it's fullest! Have a GREAT day! Happy Birthday!!
  12. OMG! That is wonderful! That is so typical of kids that age. ROFLMAO!
  13. There I changed it for ya! Is that better? Sorry for the discomfort. (Me under my parachute rather than me with just my rig.)
  14. I use itunes along with anapod. I load music with the itunes and I organize with the anapod. The anapod software lets you load photos and video. I couldn't get the itunes to do more than music. I also use anapod to load ebooks I download from the library however I have to use tunebite software in order to convert those files before loading them into anapod. I also have just recently found Jodix free ipod video converter in order to convert all those skydiving videos over so I can load them. This has worked well for me so far but I'm new at it also so what do I know? I've only had my ipod a couple months. I bought it right after my birthday when I discovered my husband didn't get me one.
  15. Ummm, sorry, that's incorrect. The magenta circle incicates a control zone, or now called class E surface area. That's the legal description of the type of airspce at the airport's surface. There is no marking on the pilot's chart that tell him the radar coverage. Sometimes it to the ground, sometimes doesn't start until 10,000 feet or higher in some remote airports out west. Scud running we don't really care about if you do it legally. But that's why the control zones, to keep scud runners out of higher density IFR operation areas.
  16. Yeah I didn't think it would be too difficult when I started making my new suit several years ago. It actually took me several hundreds of dollars and two years to come up with one that would work. (RW bootie suit) When I finally wore it on the DZ everyone wanted me to make theirs too. It became a snow ball rolling down hill really fast. You might want to invest in an industrial sewing machine and use some "E" thread on your suit/pants. Regular thread just doesn't work to well in freefall for very long. Also the industrial machine will sew through the nylon/spandex/cordura/leather/binding tape better than the "Susie Homemaker" machines. Good luck!
  17. Dang! I wish I were going to the Chicks Rock Boogie. I have to many things going on with the kids and their school activities etc. Hope you have a GREAT time!

    Starbucks

I think this thread is so funny. A guy in Europe/Spain followed by a guy in California followed by a guy in Vancouver followed by a guy in New York dissing on Starbucks. Have you ever been to Seattle where they have a Starbucks right across the street from a Starbucks? NO! That isn't a typo! There is a Starbucks right across the street from a Starbucks!! There are four coffee shops in my small, one stop light, town just south of Seattle and a big Starbucks is being built right between them all. You can't walk 20 paces here without hitting another coffee joint of some kind or another! They have coffee stands in the HARDWARE stores here! Every store has it's own coffee stand. Every grocery store has a coffee place like Starbucks, if not Starbucks. People are lined up down the blocks for the drive through coffee houses! I know people that buy several of these coffees every day! I think these coffees are for people that are really, REALLY bad at math. Starbucks is taking advantage of the math challenged people of the world and getting rich! When I see someone with a Starbucks paper coffee cup clutched tightly in their little hand, I have to laugh.
  19. By fishing I meant sitting on the bank with a beer. Pole optional. "Normal fishing". But yeah! That sounds good! When we going?
  20. Thanks for posting your pics! I remember doing the embroidery on that one! I didn't get to see it when it was finished though. You've got to be thrilled with that rig! It looks GREAT!
  21. I know you didn't mean it was a bad picture. I just think it's a silly picture. It actually looks like something that it's really NOT. And it's something that I'm really NOT. So it's just a silly picture. It really was a spur of the moment picture and one of those one in a million shots that turned out differently than what it actually was. Oh! Holy Cow! I don't think it should be in every skydiving publication! Lets not make everyone make fun of me! -- "Look at that old woman in the black spandex! Some people...." -- No we won't go there. But I'm glad you enjoyed it! I'm watching for the picture of your Infinity!! I'll probably remember doing the embroidery on it. I want to see which one was yours. I love doing embroidery on rigs and then later seeing them!
  22. No problem on the age thing. I'M OLD! But I'm OK with it. I was just kidding around with ya. I think that is why it's not a good idea for Kelly to use me as an add for his Infinity. It's better to go with the younger crowd. He need a really young sexy chick to do his adds. You just didn't make the connection between me and John Mitchell because he is so good looking and smart. A lot of people make that mistake. They wonder why he settled for me. I just lucked out.
