Well for those of you who want to apply, get on it!! They're accepting applications for the Amazing Race 8 right now; the difference is that it looks like there's going to be teams of 4 now! Well I don't have one but the best one I ever heard was Snickers--cause it always satisfies.

I DO have an Icon, and I do the exact same thing with the pounding. It's been a habit of mine after a really hard pull on some student gear. It does seem to flatten out the pilot chute more and make it fill out the BOC better, IMO.

Daphne, Everything everyone has said is exactly correct. I have something to do with these interview and visa granting for my job, and I assure you that the only purpose of these questions is to ensure that you will be going home when your visa expires. If you have a job, own a house, or have some other strong connection with the country in which you currently reside, you are less likely to stay in the US longer than allowed. Just please be honest with the interviewers, if you are honest you will have no problem. Blue Skies

DEAR GOD IS THAT SCENARIO TRUE!!! after a while it becomes sport. It IS true! And it does become a sport. I particularly like when the guy tries to say he's a skydiver and mentions that he's done a couple of jumps. I play dumb and ask him what kind of jumps if he sounds really cocky. He'll usually say tandem and then act all macho. Big surprise on him when I add the kicker

One tip: make sure you call ahead and see if they're jumping especially if you are going to stop by on a weekday. I did almost this same trip 6 months ago, only from KS to PA, and when I stopped by Quantum Leap on a Friday, their Otter was in for maintenance and they said they *might* do some Cessna jumps later in the day. I left! I was lucky though, because the Richmond Boogie was going on right when I was driving out here, so I just stopped there for 3 days! And KSUPC in Wamego is really close to 70; it's my old home dropzone. Small Cessna club, but really fun people!

Wow, look at those results! It seems like a plurality of the skydivers who voted are single men! Good chances for me then! Actually, we were just discussing this phenomenon at the dz this weekend. I was joking that I went down the list of sports when I was trying to pick a hobby and just chose the one with the best ratio of men to women. They laughed and said that the only other sport with a similar ratio is bowling.

Glad you had a good weekend...but I really hope you're wrong on the canopy type at least You're going to get a lot of negative responses on that one. It's not the type of canopy that you want to be jumping with your jump numbers. Are you sure it wasn't a silhouette?

And to top it off for me, they told me I was flying slow, so I went and got a Quarter Pounder with Cheese to help solve the problem... Next jump was much better!

Congrats! For me, I eat less, but also less healthy. Fast food lunches and Mexican almost every Saturday night That's what happens with only three sit-down restaurants in Orange.
