  1. £35 ~$60 (Does not always include main repack)
  2. FYI http://www.zct.co.uk/skydivemag/pages/articles/aug97/squareonsquare.htm & http://www.zct.co.uk/skydivemag/pages/articles/aug03/canopiesout.html BPA MAG ARTICLE
  3. I did all my student jumps on a rip cord and generally on civilian kit the rip cord is in the same place as a throw out (BOC or ROL on older kit), I've only seen it on the front next to the cutaway handle twice and it was both military rigs.
  4. Espace Boogie, 2 hours drive, 2 hours on the Eurostar, 6 hours drive the other end.
  5. I live in the UK and jump at one of the cheaper DZ's, A 5k ticket is £8 and a max (13k) ticket is £17. You can just about double that to get it in US$.
  6. I have a pilot 168 and the packing manual says it is 416 cubic inches if you look at the attached packing volume you will see that a sabre 150 is 413 cubic inches, so it should fit. Jas. edited to add aerodyne.pdf
  7. This is what I thought too, It's different for different people too, if I'm just falling down the tube I get ground rush about 5k if I'm looking at it, but I don't get it at all if I'm tracking, not that I notice anyway.
  8. For me personally. AFF level 1 - Consol number 5 : 240 Jump 15-20 : 200 Jump 20-40 : 210 Jump 40-110 : Clipper 194 Jump 110-120 : ZP170 Jump 120-255+ : Pilot 168
  9. sorry officer I was on my was to the DZ.
  10. What others have you jumped? I've got a Pilot 168, loaded at about 1.2:1 and the front riser pressure doesn't seem high to me, a friend jumped mine and said the front riser pressure was lower than on his heatwave 170. Jas
  11. I'm no rigger but I was told you can adjust something like the MLW or major intergrated parts of the harness 1 time, most other things, risers, etc. can be changed for new.
  12. If you watch the video properly and then read the entire court case as you should it takes longer than half an hour + being recorded reading and signing the wavier.
  13. same size as the main??? If I was jumping a stupidly small cross brace I would not want a reserve the same size. Equally if I had a large accuracy canopy I would probably want a smaller reserve. I atcually have a Pilot 168 and a PD160R which are more or less the same size. There are arguments for all.
  14. I've got a pilot 168 loaded to about 1.2, I love landing it on no wind days, it does come in quick but the pilot has a lot of flare, I find a longer slower flare than normal works best for me on no wind days. But as everybody above has already said, get some coaching.
  15. Not a rebate, but a new leg strap is not big deal.
  16. Not completing you profile is one thing but, 100000 jumps and 1 year in the sport. Your funeral.
  17. If the UK used these rules we would only jump 1/2 of the year if we were lucky. This is what the BPA ops manual says about cloud. SECTION 8 3.1. Cloud Parachutists may not leave the aircraft if, at the point of exit, the ground between the opening point and the intended landing area is not visible.
  18. I saw that, it was specically designed and lazer cut but I'm sure he said it took him a few days to pack it.
  19. I can't belive this thread, americans bitching about the price of petrol. Try living in the UK. £0.85 / litre ~ $5.80 / US gallon
  20. I flew Ryanair to Empuria last time I went, I checked my Rig with my suitcase both ways and had no trouble. However my rig alone took up my whole baggage weight allowance and I didn't know about the sports equipment allowance, going out was no problem but comming back I had to pay 50 euros extra.
  21. Stupid question, but why not just take the protrack on the hop & pop's.
