  1. I use silicone tube. It's about $3-$4/m.
  2. those ball-/rubberband-thingies that are so popular around will create more force than the magnets ever will, in each and every direction.. And turning to a dead trap if a break line got snagged on opening....
  3. What you need is the right tension. By the way what is STANDARD LINE?
  4. Just remember you need more time before you can fly your canopy and you loose more altitude on a higher WL, more diving canopy. I landed out 3 times in 4 years which was not planned. I used to have a Pilot 150. Its a nice all-around canopy.
  5. For something to think about. I know guys jumping with Katana and FX. You can jump with any canopy your are comfortable with. I got 3 canopies: Cobalt Competition 105, Cobalt 135 and Triathlon 160. I spend about ~90 seconds under canopy if I have a hop and pop with my CC my WL is about 2.2+. I might have 2+ minutes if I open my Cobalt about 1000m, WL 1.7+. I spend more than 3 minutes under my Triathlon160, WL 1.4+. I jump wing suit with my Cobalt and Triathlon, and not using CC for that. I did try Cobalt with WS 3 years ago, I've almost landed out, it was stressful and I got an ugly landing too...... Your choice.
  6. Walk the bag. I'd rather use other tools for cleaning. Its really hard to clean a rig. I did try that.
  7. And tell me, why do you explain it to me? Do I look who needs help?
  8. There are wing suits out there about 10 years and no general wing load recommendations out there. That is a shame.
  9. There are plenty of places you can share it e.g.:picasaweb . Linking to here is enough for now.
  10. Is that a flock with big suits?
  11. So, you haven't seen CReW guys flying a down plane yet
  12. Notice that reply was not for you. Tero is started to hijack this thread for the "what is the WS flying..." direction....
  13. Starting again? Be proud of your achievement instead!
  14. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA It does not make any difference for you. There is a nice set of canopies you can select from. That means that you can pick any of them with or without demos. I'm looking for threads about your helmet and jumpsuit selection.
  15. AFAIK there is no golden rule which technique is to be used for getting back from a long up-wind spot either brakes or rear risers. He was asking your opinion or your experience. You might trim a bit nose down...
  16. You are more prone to collapse in deep breaks. Its your pick speed or collapse. If you don't brake you're guaranteed to have more speed. If you do brake you're not guaranteed to have your canopy collapse but you do increase the likelihood of it happening. Its not either or. It's simple 'classic' accuracy skills. If you collapse it you've stalled. If you can't hang it on the edge of a stall in slow flight, or recover from a stall by pumping the brakes...might be a skill ya wanna look into learning. If you're flying a little snot rag that's gonna plant ya either way, try to protect your head...at least you will be able to watch TV in the hospital. Classic accuracy with a hot pocket rocket? Accuracy canopies designed for sinking in stall, they have huge and open cells. If you have a partial or total collapse on a semi- or closed nose canopy in a turbulent, urban environment and low you are not going to make it back by pumping before the impact....
  17. You are more prone to collapse in deep breaks. Its your pick speed or collapse.
  18. Why none wants to land without a parachute? Just jump out of the aircraft and land without a parachute. You can do it! Be the first!
  19. I got a Triathlon 160, thats a bit boring for me. I jump with a Cobalt because I love to fly it.
  20. Its a good life saving device, but just a bit boring.
  21. How about avoiding the situation for the first? Test your visor. If its fogging up clean and treat your visor with anti-fog like "Cat-carp" and test again.
  22. I got 2 spinning mals so far. I gave up fighting and went for plan B when I saw no hope to fix it. If you don't want to get beaten up than don't go that street.
  23. For your and other amusement it could be perfect. You can start wondering why most people jumping something else and not Stiletto.
