  1. I went there on my honeymoon and took my rig as well. The rental gear at Pacific Skydiving was not what i would call all that great. If i remember correctly they had a 220 then a 135. There were big gaps in the sizes.
  2. Hey me and my wife are trying to plan a trip to Montego Bay. Has anyone been there in April. We heard that starting in May they enter their hurricane season. We don't want to spend 7 days just sitting in the rain. Also we are looking at one of the all inclusive Sandals resorts. Any feedback would be great. Thanks guys and blue skies. Patrick
  3. I'm watching the morning fox 4 news. They just previewed a story about all of this. I will post what they say once it is over. Patrick Ok so they said little to nothing. Same thing as always. There is a conflict between jumping and lifeflight and they are working to resolve it.
  4. If it makes you more comfortable to look all the time then i say go for it. There are way too many out there who don't look enough. For that person who said this will limit the people who will jump with you. Maybe at your dz this is true but not everywhere. I jump at a 182 dz and we only go to 10k. So breaking high though i don't like to is necessary for some folks. Keep up the good altitude awareness. If you retain even half as much awareness you are doing better than most. Patrick
  5. They don't even charge that much for their tandems. When i got my wife a tandem in Hawaii we only paid 145 for the jump. So no way i would find out what all you are paying for.
  6. Paintballing is great...Just make sure you do it a little before the wedding day. Good luck. Patrick
  7. I'm in the picture from Couch freaks. The group from KC who are doing an 8 way. I'm the one in the checkered rig on the right side of the pic. First time being in that sucker. Patrick
  8. My wife and I went to see it last week. I enjoyed it a lot. I think i may have a great connection to how he feels losing a dad. You find that you don't know them as well as you thought once they are gone. But great movie, wouldn't mind seeing it again sometime. Patrick
  9. I know you have to love not dealing with someone who doesn't know how to take your order. Much easier to sit with the laptop and just place the order. Patrick
  10. Perry, THanks for the lesson on the prodigy and thanks for letting me jump your tracking suit. Hope to see you at another boogie. Patrick
  11. He went out there last winter and apparently is now a tandem master as well.
  12. I was freeflying with a guy who was knocked out by our camera guy. They managed to float into one another. I didn't even know what had happened till i saw the guy on the ground with a reserve out. He landed still knocked out. So as far as chasing someone i would as long as altitude provided. Patrick
  13. The beer line at my place is more for safety than beer. Its a dip in the grass right before you get to the hangers. This is the area that we let spectators hang out in. So i guess you could call ours a safety issue. Patrick
  14. Skip, I don't rotate my bag. When i pack it i just leave the grommet straight up. I have the bird man mods done to my rig so closing my rig can be a little tricky. With the corners cut leaving the bag in this orientation gives me an easier chance of keeping the lines straight. Just my way...call or email Ankie. She is always willing to help a customer. Patrick
  15. It took me like 32-36. I did a lot of hop n pops. I just wanted any jump i could get. You will get there before you know it. Patrick
  16. There are quite a few dropzones that require a current log book before you can jump there. Just something i have found coming from a small DZ. I had a hard time in the beggining and now i use my neptune to help me remember. Good luck on this. Patrick
  17. No idea man i bought the rig used. But from the customer service i have gotten you would think i was their biggest customer. Thanks Ankie for all the awesome help you have given me. I look forward to my next rig from you guys. Patrick
  18. All that matters is i look good in it. More power to me that no one will steal it. I guess I like standing out from the crowd and not blending in. Patrick
  19. Ok so i got it. Here you go. Patrick
  20. Wish I could take credit for designing my Wings. I bought it used but man I love it. Patrick Ok so it won't upload...I'll keep trying.
  21. Get it to your rigger and have them look it over. 10 years can be nothing and it can be a lifetime depending on how they took care of it. So get a rigger to check it out. Patrick
  22. I put no more trust in them than i do in an air bag in my car. I don't want to ever have to use it and treat my actions as if i don't. But on the other hand in the case of something totally out of my control then well i'm glad to have it. Some say it's a waste of money but to me it's a sense of knowing that i have a safety device. If people didn't like things like this than we would all opt for a cheaper car and lose the air bags. Just my 2 cents. Take it or leave it. I don't make any jump with my cypress that i wouldn't make without it. Patrick
  23. Those first two stows look huge. Like something i would use on a tandem rig. Patrick
  24. I'm not a fan of using a packer. Don't like others packing my rig really. Just never know what you will get if you don't pack it yourself. That and it saves me money to pack myself. Patrick
  25. As far as i know that is the only option. At least that is the only one i have found. It works pretty good. Just make sure you keep the product key and a backup in case your computer crashes. I really hate when it does that. Patrick
