  1. Nicely done! I came away with some sweet t-shirts from the gfriend, a badass folding knife from my dad and some doubloons and a wok from my mom Advertisio Rodriguez / Sky
  2. Pretty much everyday, although i smoke charas, hash and pollen more than leaf. I just prefer the high. Advertisio Rodriguez / Sky
  3. Awesome! I'm stoked you enjoyed it. Shaun Thompson is a bit of a legend over here in South Africa. We all used to have posters of him on our walls when we were kids, in fact I had a signed one that was my prize possession for many years. I wish i could get hold of BDTD on DVD over here, i'm hoping they release it sometime in the New Year. Advertisio Rodriguez / Sky
  4. I've had two within six jumps of each other, different rigs, same kind of canopy - both Velo 103's Advertisio Rodriguez / Sky
  5. Fixed your mistake there He could live outside America? (Of course it's impossible to tell due to the lack of profile info) but here in South Africa our skydiving body only requires 100 jumps before jumping a camera. Advertisio Rodriguez / Sky
  6. Thanks for the post, welcome to the world of the Velo I liked the "so far" part of that sentence. I had two hundred or so uneventful jumps on my Velo then two mals within six jumps of each other, all i can say is that when she goes, she goes! Have fun and be safe Advertisio Rodriguez / Sky
  7. Yep, all the rest are just movies with surfing scenes in them. "Endless Summer" really was a great flick but I'm not going to go find it and watch it in case my memory is making it a better flick than it really was.
  8. "Busting down the Door" rates as the best surfing film i saw last year. It's not on DVD yet and only showed in limited runs in cinemas but if you can see it, do so. It's about surfing legends Shaun Thompson and Rabbit Bartholomew starting the movement for what would become professional surfing as we know it today. really, really good. Here's a link to the trailers etc http://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=busting+down+the+door&search_type=&aq=f Advertisio Rodriguez / Sky
  9. I recently had two mals, on two different rigs, in six jumps. Both reserves were Tempos. One was a 120 and the other my own 150. The 120 had a slight built in turn. The 150 was all good. That said, if i had the money i would buy a PD reserve today. Advertisio Rodriguez / Sky
  10. Guys this is the exact info i am looking for. @ Dave - thanks dude, some very valuable info there. To be honest i hadn't thought about some of the stuff you mention. I've developed my own system for compartmentalizing over the years but hadn't thought to get into that with them. Thanks again. @ Jimmy - howzit bro! I'm great thanks dude
  11. Fuck the tip, by the sounds of it he's gonna give her the whole thing Advertisio Rodriguez / Sky
  12. As the more senior camera jumpers on our DZ we're often asked to give junior jumpers who fulfill the jump number requirements a camera briefing before they go up. I have a few things that i normally cover but just wanted to get a feel for what you guys throw in to make sure i'm not leaving anything out. I normally have a look at their helmets and talk to them about possible snag points. What to do/what not to do on opening. RSL's. The use of camera wings/ when to start using them. What jumps they ewant to film when they should start filming inside camera/ two way/ four way/ tandems and so on. Is there anything else that i'm missing here? Your input is much appreciated. 13. I find that i only really do tandem camera or hop and pops these days so i wear my MX pants for both. Wing jacket and MX pants in winter and man-pris in summer plus MX pants for swooping. Advertisio Rodriguez / Sky

  15. "5-6 *DAYS*"??? Oh, you mean you adopted kids? Hi Robert Some of those women are hard core skydiver's more than 5-6 days could be 2 wkends grounded. I wonder how close to the delivery date a hard core skydiving women with a normal pregnency would go. John you've been around a long time whats the most pregnent active skydiver you've ever seen. One of our hardcore competitors here in SA jumped right up until her due date, i don't remember the exact time frame but when the kid was born he had more jumps than a lot of the people on our DZ Advertisio Rodriguez / Sky
